En l'actualitat un gran nombre de dispositius electronics com telefons intel·ligents o tauletes compten amb aplicacions capaces de capturar aquesta informacio, permetent al seu usuari emmagatzemar-la i compartir-la amb altres usuaris. Hi ha alguns exemples de la seva aplicacio en l'educacio, encara que no s'han trobat exemples en l'area d'Enginyeria Quimica. El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido analizar el grado de satisfaccion del alumnado universitario con una de las innovaciones docentes mas populares, sobre todo, por su bajo coste y sencillez, que es el one minute paper, la cual registro una alta tasa de participacion en el contexto analizado. En Ingenieria Quimica, la formacion en Higiene y Seguridad es absolutamente necesaria, por el tipo de equipos y productos manejados. Sin embargo, la integracion de la prevencion de riesgos en los nuevos planes de estudio de Ingenieria Quimica es muy variable, y todavia insuficiente para que los egresados esten capacitados para desarrollar su actividad profesional aplicando los principios de la prevencion de riesgos. Aprovechando la puesta en marcha de los nuevos grados, se penso desarrollar alguna estrategia para mejorar la formacion en Seguridad de los estudiantes del Grado de Ingenieria Quimica (GIQ) de la Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV). Para ello, se solicito un Proyecto de Innovacion Educativa, que fue concedido para su ejecucion en el curso 2012-2013. En dicho Proyecto se planteo mejorar la formacion en Higiene y Seguridad de los estudiantes a traves de las tres asignaturas de Experimentacion en Ingenieria Quimica. Para ello, la innovacion contemplaba la incorporacion de procedimientos y modos de actuacion enfocados a la prevencion de riesgos en el trabajo desarrollado en estas asignaturas experimentales. Hernandez","doi":"10.7203/ATTIC.13.3886","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7203/ATTIC.13.3886","url":null,"abstract":"Biological processes for wastewater treatments are inherently dynamic systems because of the large variations in the influent wastewater flow rate, concentration composition and the adaptive behavior of the involved microorganisms. Moreover, the sludge retention time (SRT) is a critical factor to understand the bioreactor performances when changes in the influent or in the operation conditions take place. Since SRT are usually in the range of 10-30 days, the performance of biological reactors needs a long time to be monitored in a regular laboratory demonstration, limiting the knowledge that can be obtained in the experimental lab practice. In order to overcome this lack, mathematical models and computer simulations are useful tools to describe biochemical processes and predict the overall performance of bioreactors under different working operation conditions and variations of the inlet wastewater composition. The mathematical solution of the model could be difficult as numerous biochemical processes can be considered. Additionally, biological reactors description (mass balance, etc.) needs models represented by partial or/and ordinary differential equations associated to algebraic expressions, that require complex computational codes to obtain the numerical solutions. Different kind of software for mathematical modeling can be used, from large degree of freedom simulators capable of free models definition (as AQUASIM), to closed predefined model structure programs (as BIOWIN). The first ones usually require long learning curves, whereas the second ones could be excessively rigid for specific wastewater treatment systems. As alternative, we present Bio logical Re actor SIM ulator (BioReSIM), a MATLAB code for the simulation of sequencing batch reactors (SBR) and rotating biological contactors (RBC) as biological systems of suspended and attached biomass for wastewater treatment, respectively. A new alternative to the ERASMUS + program that can be named internationalization at home has been created at the University of Cantabria. The Chemical Engineering degree offers the Chemical Engineering European Project Semester (CE-EPS) program. It consists of three subjects plus a team work that will end with the Final Project. All these activities will be developed in English. The program has been implanted for the first time during the academic year 2013-2014 with the participation of 8 Spanish students and 2 foreigners.
