Our goal was to show the extent to which catharsis and the other elements intrinsic to it, when analyzed aesthetically and pedagogically, contribute to the formation of individuality towards more effective humanization. The analyzes proposed here sought to establish important approaches between art and school education as active and indispensable in the development of human individuality. The technique adopted for the present study was bibliographic research, in which we used Lukacs' aesthetic work and other studies on it as main sources, in addition to those located within the scope of historical-critical pedagogy. What does mercantilization of education mean? What political and economic processes condition the mercantilization of education? What are the impacts of this project on educational work? Trying to answer these questions, the text proves that the mercantilization of education must be understood as a political-ideological project of the business people that aims to reduce the social right to education to mere commercial service integrated with the dynamics of the \"business world\", involving the production of sociability and the up-tick of the capital reproduction cycle. {"title":"Entre riquezas e pobrezas: a expansão da escola paulista no contexto da república","authors":"Géssica Priscila Ramos","doi":"10.20396/RHO.V20I0.8654166","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20396/RHO.V20I0.8654166","url":null,"abstract":"This article aims to make an initial discussion about the Sao Paulo school expansion in the situation of the emergence, solidification and development of the Brazilian republican period, trying to understand how the economic potential of Sao Paulo historically influenced the expanded school education. Based on a bibliographical analysis, its results show that, despite the state economic development (initially, with the sugar cane and coffee culture and, later, in the industrial and technological field) and the accumulated wealth, the state school was progressively disqualified in the same proportion as it was democratizing. Ruckstadter","doi":"10.20396/RHO.V20I0.8660770","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20396/RHO.V20I0.8660770","url":null,"abstract":"This article is result of debates and reflections gestated in two study groups about the Historical Critical Pedagogy performed in 2019, the year when this important Brazilian educational theory completed 40 years. This text analyses the importance of the scientific knowledge in basic education in conjuction with the teachers work. It starts from two guiding questions: what is the relation between teachers work and the historically accumulated scientific knowledge? What knowledge is needed by the teacher? In order to achieve the objective the text was structured in three moments: 1 – presentation of the context of elaboration of the Historical Critical Pedagogy; 2- Debate about the nature and specificity of the education to this critical theory; 3- analysis of the teacher’s function in conjuction with the scientific knowledge, as well as the necessary knowledge for an emancipatory educational practice. From the discussion, founded in a bibliographic research, it is possible to conclude that the Historical Critical Pedagogy professes the education as a fighting instrument of the working class, instrumentalization of the proletariat in the fight against the process of exploitation and in direction to a greater project of overcoming the capitalist mode of production. {"title":"Histórias de adesões, acomodações e resistências em tempos de ditadura","authors":"Maria José Aviz do Rosário","doi":"10.20396/RHO.V20I0.8655324","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20396/RHO.V20I0.8655324","url":null,"abstract":"This article intends, through the medotology of oral history, to analyze the formation of teachers in the IEP from 1964 to 1985, from the questioning: how the teachers and the students of the IEP understood and lived the formation of teachers in a time of dictatorship? with the purpose of understanding the construction of adhesions, accommodations and resistance to the project of the Brazilian dictatorial state. The results show that the IEP in the period (1964-1982) presents a formative process almost detached from the injunctions of the Brazilian dictatorial state, the marks of accessions and accommodations were expressed through surveillance, behaviors, presence of representatives of the regime in the school space and by purely instrumental disciplines; the history of resistance to the practices of dictatorship only appears in the period (1983-1985), in the redemocratization, with a movement of quite significant resistance, student organization and movement, formation of the student body and the posture of teachers to combat dictatorial practices in which there was no lack of political-ideological conflicts between the field connected to the lefts and the so-called \"representatives\" of the state. In conclusion, the training of teachers in the IEP was permeated by these processes, associated with the education proposal promoted by the Brazilian dictatorial state. Based on historical materialism and more specifically on the Gramscian concept of organic intellectual, we verified that a powerful industry specialized in educational matters drivers a process of commodification via networking consultocracy. Weconclude the existence of programmatic approaches and world conceptions between the Crivella PRB and Pedro Paulo PMDB applications, as well as significant distances from the Project of Freixo PSOL. The analyses had been undertaken on the basis of estimated of Karl the Marx - which are: contradiction and fight of classrooms. The methodology adopted for analyses of the object understood documentary the bibliographical research and, as well as the field research, in which semistructuralized interviews had been carried through in order to know as they think and if they hold the citizens of the research.
