Abstract

The work presented here deals with the importance and the role of the teachers for the operation of educational institutions created by the company Ford Brazil Industrial in the Amazon during the 1930 and 1940. Such role reflected in schools their beliefs, worldviews and educational concepts, under the leadership of Director Professor Zelia Braga, were running schools that reproduced, your way, administrative and pedagogical actions present in Brazil and in the State of Para. In other words, the schools studied were carrying the sense of civilization common to Amazon, since it offered urban education for children, through teachers brought the State capital to work inside.
