Some of these barriers were examined, such as the enrollment criteria adopted by municipalities in relation to demand greater than the number of places available. It was found that the implementation of the National Education System, including the implementation of the Initial Quality Student Cost and the Cost Student Quality, could contribute to the achievement of a quality standard for the education of children throughout the country.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123080329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study is part of a wider research on the trajectory of women, focusing on teachers and their participation in the struggles for civil, political and labor rights between the nineteenth and the twentieth centuries. The analysis suggests that Elisa Scheid formed a broad network of sociability based on her family experiences her educational background, on her primary teaching practice in the suburbs of Rio and on her participation in associations, publications and formal political organizations. She participated in the creation and was part of the board of the Workers Union of Engenho de Dentro and the Independent Workers Party. Despite historical constraints and inequalities based on gender, class and race, our hypothesis is that Elisa Scheid performed a prominent leadership in defending workers' rights and education. She was engaged in political propaganda and worked for the formation of workers associations. Traces of her trajectory portrayed in this article, along with that of other teachers of her time, demonstrate how women occupied several spaces, at least those women of educated circles. Their struggles challenge the current representation of a supposed predominance of female experiences limited to the domestic world in that historical context.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125858300","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This critical conception of education has been developed by its main systematizer, Dermeval Saviani, since the end of the 1970s, highlighting in the process of its elaboration works such as: Education: from common sense to philosophical consciousness, whose first edition is from 1980 ; School and democracy, published in September, 1983; Historical-Critical Pedagogy: first approaches, published in 1991; Historical-Critical Pedagogy, fortieth year: new approaches, published in 2019, works whose analysis supports the hypothesis that guides the conclusion that PHC falls within the scope of revolutionary pedagogies, instrumentalizing the struggle of the subordinate layers in the context of the socialist transition. It is, as Saviani recognizes, a proposal in development, characterized by the collective work of numerous researchers linked to public and private universities, national and international, which shows its importance for the history of education, especially for the history of Brazilian education.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132875667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study is focused mainly in the new Brazilian high school reform, formally introduced as Provisional Measure 746/2016, and later transformed into Law 13.415/2017. As the research object, this study carries the Pilar (countryside town in São Paulo) public professors’ true knowledge and involvement in this process. The methodological way used in the present study is qualitative and has bibliographic research and study about the law mentioned, as well as about educational public politics involved in the process of elaboration and establishment of the law. The study has also a field research which took place in public schools and was answered by its professors. The results given so far show that in the process of elaboration and establishment of this new law, the policymakers and the executors took distance from the democratic and collaborative administration processes which are proposed by professors and by Brazilian Education thinkers and specialists, such as Paro, Veiga, Frigotto and Freitas, whom were also the main theoretical references of the research presented here.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114929884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the research focused on the scrutiny of the League of Teachers, conducting a survey of its activities through publications about the entity in thirteen newspapers, between the years of 1919 and 1937. It was possible to perceive the recurrence of discourse by the union as something that would bring benefits to the category, besides the recognition of these entities as an educational agency. This represents, empirically, the construction of networks of sociability and the circularity of teachers, rather than restricted in teacher associations, establishing a relationship between the labor movement and other areas in dispute.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116496646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the questions we highlight: how was rural teaching organized in terms of career and education level of the teachers? What were the roles of teachers in the daily life of rural schools? In methodological terms we use diverse historical sources, including statements, governmental speeches and oral sources collected through semi-structured interviews with male and female teachers who have were and / or still are teaching in rural areas. It is understood from the investigation that the admission to the teaching career occurred through indication of the community and that the teaching practiced in the rural schools were by multi-serial ways. The first four grades of the first grade shared the same scholar space, and the rural teachers faced several difficulties, some of them: to travel far distances to teach, triple and quadruple function, among other functions. Through these devices, teachers represented the social model of the intellectual citizen, and teaching in rural schools was not a service, nor an insertion in the labor market, but a help to their own community.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126216261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

What if it pretends to study is the reception of the work Gramscian by the author in the movement of rupture of Arico and his group with the Communist Party Argentine - PCA, which took place in the end of the years 50 and beginning of the years 60. The most important feature in the reception of Gramsci's ideas during that period and in the Argentine juncture was the renewal of Gramscian Marxism in relation to the practice and theory of the PCA, notably Stalinist, according to the evaluation of the Cordoba Group, of which Arico was one of the great exponents. With the study of the thought of Jose Arico, we intend to apprehend two different processes: first, analyse his reading of the Gramsci's work in his critique of Positivist Marxism, which led him to be expelled from the PCA, along with other gramscian`s members. On the other hand, it provides the possibility of making more dense and articulated readings with the realities of our countries. The main object of the reading are the two manifests published by Arico in the Pasado y Presente magazine, in the years 1963 and 1964, through which we can understand what is meant by the renewal of Marxism in the author's work.","PeriodicalId":230861,"journal":{"name":"Revista HISTEDBR on line","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130431521","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
