Caetano","doi":"10.19091/reced.vi0.711","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.19091/reced.vi0.711","url":null,"abstract":"The principles of the Field Education are based on the struggles of the peasant social movements for an education that values the cultures of the subjects that live and reproduce in the rural environment in their perspectives. In this context, agroecology has emerged as a leitmotiv of the Agricultural Family Schools (AFS), since it reconciles popular knowledge with agricultural practices, values the peasant territorial identity and provides a better quality of life for these subjects. In view of the above, this text aims to analyze the educational experiences of Jacare (alligator) AFS and its agroecological bias, as a possibility to leverage family production, promoting the sustainability of the localities contemplated by the school. The AFS in Jacare is located in the state of Minas Gerais, in the region known as Vale do Jequitinhonha. In the course of the comprehensive methodology the empirical observation, the qualitative approach and the study of case were adopted, adding to the theoretical-conceptual assumptions of important references for the development of the themes mentioned. The objective of the project was to provide, through the traditional knowledge of a rural community in the municipality of Sacramento, Triângulo Mineiro region, recognition about the use of orientation by the phases of the Moon in social practices, especially those related to planting and harvest. The proposal was developed in a class of the 9th grade of Elementary School, with the aid of a model that allowed the visualization of the phases of the Moon linked to the information from the traditional knowledge of that rural community about theMoon in the plantations. This work takes Intercultural Education as a theoretical perspective and defends the necessary integration of the traditional knowledge of the rural people in the science education. The analysis of this experience shows that, even for students from the rural context, where there is still a close link between traditional knowledge about the Moon and social practices of planting and harvesting, scientific knowledge is still prioritized by these students, who attribute its value to the written account in books, whereas traditional knowledge often carries only oral transmission. O trabalho foi realizado em uma instituicao de carater publico, denominada “Centro Novo Dia para Pessoas Idosas” na cidade de Americana/SP. Para a realizacao das investigacoes que contemplem os objetivos da pesquisa, foi feito um levantamento bibliografico sobre os temas do estudo. Ele alimentou o roteiro para a realizacao de entrevistas com 06 idosos que frequentam a instituicao. Esse processo foi realizado a partir de uma metodologia de carater qualitativo, a Historia Oral, com enfase em duas tecnicas: a entrevista aberta e o depoimento tematico. Para a analise dos dados, as entrevistas foram transcritas e os criterios de agrupamentos para analise foram definidos a partir das informacoes resgatadas pelos participantes. However, the means available to achieve this end in the Brazilian reality go out of step with the premise presented by him. Especially in an environment in which fundamental rights of the working class are withdrawn and education is relegated to misery, a situation that is reflected in current government policies. At this stage, it is too complex to speak of a liberating education, because this, at this particular moment, goes against the proposals of public policies that have been developed and approved in Brazil, especially since 2016. Critical thinking gives the individual the possibility to look at the whole of something and, at the same time, condition it to identify each part that makes up that whole. It is from there that the subject assumes a place: a point of view, according to Paulo Freire. It is in this process that democracy finds its foundation in the diversity of viewpoints and the possibility of assuming this or that “place” after critically examining previous thoughts. As stated initially, emancipation is conditio sine qua non for this process to happen. It turns out that it is through education that we gather the elements to make our emancipatory constitution possible. In this trail, we find in the dialogicity brought by Paulo Freire, one of the possible ways for democracy to operate according to its concept (environment) and education to act towards emancipation (end).
