Abstract

The textbook is an important resource for the foundation and theoretical contribution of the teacher. In this sense, this article, a cut of a master's research, discusses the approach of scientific literacy in the contents of thermochemistry in the didactic books of the National Program of Didactic Book (PNLD), from 2008 to 2018. This research had as premise a qualitative approach. For the collection of data, the bibliographic analysis was used; the treatment of the data through the discursive textual analysis. It was possible to infer that in the literacy was examined the predominance of texts written by the agents of production of the didactic book and few texts of varied sources and textual genres. Thus, despite the progress of some Chemistry textbooks throughout the PNLD, it still does not contemplate training for citizenship.
