These structural changes involve a change in work: transforming the organization's usual individual work into a new cooperative work development, managing multiple demands of customers, and learning sales techniques. To better understand the human impact of these changes and the nature of requirements for the personnel of company, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 31 employees of French Post Office. The results obtained from a discursive analysis and a geometrical data analysis (PCA type) indicate possible trails to promote the reorganization and also to help managing new situations work through an ergonomic support.","PeriodicalId":269028,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomie Et Informatique Avancée","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129192205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a little part of an engineer curriculum, while, since few years, human factors and human-computer interaction are taught within engineering schools. Nowadays, conferences and volunteers meet human factors and systems engineering, such as ErgoIA (ErgoIA 2004, ErgoIA 2006, ErgoIA 2008 [22]) or AFIS' human factors technical committee.\u0000 The aim of this article is to show complementarily between these disciplines to design systems which satisfy consumers and users' needs, particularly in the business to consumer context. The range of activities to support, the dissemination of interactive devices in the environment and the variability of users' cognitive capacities raise real challenges when designing assistance in such systems. This paper addresses the assistance issues and presents guidelines for assistive systems design. Especially, based on an experiment of the assistance provided while completing ADL, we suggest a principle of scaled assistance. The principle was applied to Archipel, a cognitive orthesis. This application and the results analysis of a 12 sujects experiment led to the evaluation and the improvement of some ergonomic guidelines about ambient assisted living.","PeriodicalId":269028,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomie Et Informatique Avancée","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132590777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As part of this article, we present a virtual keyboard typing to replace a physical keyboard. K-Thot is composed with ten keys, each containing four characters, one by cardinal point. Entering a character is done by selecting the key containing it and making a cursor leave on the side where the target character is. Four devices will be proposed, The first one will use the classical azerty layout, the second one will use an alphabetical order, the third one will be organized (provision created by an algorithm) and the last one will be a dynamic layout (once a letter has been validated, the keyboard rearranges the letters on the keys to present first those with the highest chance of being captured later, thanks to statistics provided by the N-grams). After an analysis of similar systems, K-Thot is explained in detail. However, regarding perceived quality, no models, neither measurement scales are specifically developed for them. A literature review, from a critical point of view, leads to the conclusion that actual perceived quality models are not taking enough into account end-users. This is mainly related to the methodology approaches used for their definition. In order to overcome theses weaknesses, we propose a methodology which aims at developing a measurement scale through an ergonomic approach. This measurement scale will lead to the identification of a perceived quality meta-model which could be instantiated to several sub-models according to users' profile. Finally, we put forward application perspectives to adaptive interfaces design.","PeriodicalId":269028,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomie Et Informatique Avancée","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117034133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study is to investigate causal link between behaviour prediction and service intention to use. Besides direct effects of utility and usability on behaviour intention, we expected that prescriptive behaviour would be best predict by social determinants rather than other behaviours. We tested our hypothesis with 157 elderly people (M: 75, 1 years old; SD: 6, 5). Using Partial Least Square path modelling approach (SmartPLS software), our findings tend to demonstrate on the one hand that utility and usability have direct link with behaviour intention. In user-centred design, the specifications of use may be expressed by task models. From these models and scenarios, some methods allow to design interactive applications. However, the activity description is not always available (e.g., not provided by previous designers) or not usable. For instance, task models corresponding to an editing activity are composed of tasks that are all (or nearly all) accessible at any time. From such a task model, defining the application structure (component position, control activation) is a difficult task. In order to include users in the design process for this type of activity, designers choose other ergonomics methods such as user testing. This paper presents how an evaluation of usage for an editor of task models (K-MAD) may be used in order to modify the application interface. A study of the pertinence of the modifications (presented in the second part) shows that they imply to decrease the time to edit.","PeriodicalId":269028,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomie Et Informatique Avancée","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127578371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multi-agent systems (MAS) provide a way to study the organizational aspects of the dispatching task that aims to bridge functional differences between passengers and dispatchers. In this study, besides the technical, especially the coordinating and organizational implications of such a change will be investigated. Two versions of a multi-agent system have been constructed: NS-MAS 1 and NS-MAS 2. The involvement of active passengers as is realized in NS-MAS 1, provides the organizational specifications of realizing dispatcher-passenger communication. Furthermore, this implementation provides indications for bridging the functional differences between passengers and dispatchers. NS-MAS 2 operates with simulated passive passengers, based on statistical data of passenger movements, and implements the coordination possibilities taking into account passenger involvement in dispatching.","PeriodicalId":269028,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomie Et Informatique Avancée","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132664509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
