The VIVRE2 project (ANR05-PDIT) took as its objective the study and design of technological solutions for significantly reducing the number of these accidents.\n Around the truck driving simulator of RENAULT TRUCKS, designers, psychologists and ergonomists (LESCOT/INRETS and LEACM/University of Lyon2) specified strategies of driver assistance according to critical situations and Man Machine Interface. A tool for designing assistance systems has been specified and applied to the detection of vulnerable users in order to assess the relevance and efficiency of a homogeneous system for the whole identified situations.
