To deliver excellence in patient care, healthcare organizations will need to refuel and sustain employees’ emotional well-being and, at the same time, provide employees with tools and techniques for reconnecting with purpose and improving patient experience. Virtua Health had rapid and remarkable improvements in both nurse engagement and patient experience scores after partnering with Practicing Excellence® to deploy microlearning content around connection, collaboration, and leadership. However, in some cases, social media posts/blogs/emails/patient portal posts are meant to humiliate, shame<span>, blame, and/or harass. This is called cyberbullying which may lead to doxing. Cyberbullying and doxing are becoming more prevalent and affecting health care team members both at work and during their off hours, causing fear, anxiety, depression, and disengagement. The CNS Academy is a novel internship program launched at a large health care system to recruit nurses to pursue CNS education while providing hands-on experience as a CNS intern. This “grow your own” approach provides on-the-job opportunities to gain CNS competencies and ease role transition upon graduation. Using a qualitative descriptive design, we conducted surveys to assess nurse manager perceptions of existing staffing tools, access to tools, and knowledge of their department’s unit of service, labor standard, and budgeted nonproductive time. The purpose was to determine the specific gaps in nurse manager knowledge related to determining staffing needs. The results also support the important influence FNMs have on DCNs and the health of the work unit.
