На материале пьес отечественных драматургов второй половины XX века (А. Вампилов, А. Казанцев, Н. Садур) и театральных постановок проводится анализ функциональной направленности жеста, сопровождающего вербальный компонент, и вклада жеста в процесс конструирования смысла. Полученные результаты осмысляются в свете социосемиотического подхода к анализу коммуникации, учитывающего взаимосвязь смысловых компонентов дискурса и семиотических аспектов, где последние обеспечивают выражение не только смыслов, но и социально-оценочной информации, а также в свете актуальных на сегодняшний день проблем искусственного интеллекта, в частности разработки технологий цифровых актеров.\u0000 The article focuses on secondary modelling processes in theatrical discourse, with gesture as a semiotic resource that accounts for greater emotional impact as well as the amplification of meaning projections. The author analyses four plays written by Russian playwrights of the second half of the 20th c. (A. Vampilov, A. Kazantsev, N. Sadur) and six theatrical performances based on these plays. The main objective is to define the characteristics of the gestures used by the actors and the role these manual movements play in the process of meaning construal. The results prove that gestures can take part in non-verbal periphrasis, function as telling details, implying details and, as such, complement the content expressed by a word/phrase or represent some new content which can be in supplementary or contrary relations with the semantics of the verbal utterance. The results are discussed in reference to the sociosemiotic approach to discourse analysis. Составлен корпус эмпирического материала и осуществлена его семантическая классификация; определены изоморфные и алломорфные особенности желтого цвета в дискурсе английских и русских сказок. Для комплексного и системного исследования использованы методы: описательный, словарных дефиниций, сопоставительный, а также методы компонентного, лингвокультурологического, этимологического, семантического и количественного анализа. Предложенные методы исследования позволяют системно описать анализируемый материал и вносят вклад в разработку методики реконструкции цветового фрагмента сказочной картины мира. Желтый цвет употребляется для объективации тематических блоков природа, человек и сверхъестественное. Выделенные блоки не совпадают в двух языках, разница заключается в особенностях их внутренней тематической классификации, количественном наполнении и специфике функционирования в английском и русском сказочных дискурсах.\u0000 The article deals with the identification of semantic and linguocultural features of yellow colour in English and Russian fairy tale discourses. The novelty of the paper lies within the contrastive analysis of the verbalization of yellow designations viewed through ethnic and cultural traditions of the English and the Russians. The authors compiled the empirical material and classified it on the semantic ground; as well as determined general and specific features of yellow in the discourse of English and Russian fairy tales. Such methods as descriptive, componential analysis, dictionary definitions, linguocultural, semantic analysis, the contrastive and quantitative analysis prove their efficiency for providing a study of yellow color designations. The proposed research methods describe the material analyzed and contribute to the development of a technique for reconstructing colour notion in English and Russian fairy-tale disourse. The colour designation objectifies the natural, human and supernatural topical domains. The above domains do not coincide in two languages: the difference lies in the specificities of their internal thematic classification, quantitative aspect and functioning in English and Russian. Эмотивность, будучи имплицитным феноменом, создается за счет гармоничного сочетания формы и содержания, использования «нестандартного синтаксиса», приобретающего в канве повествования семантическую роль. Для сохранения «легкого дыхания» прозы необходима экспликация прагма-когнитивного, прагматического и лингвистического аспектов созданной эмотивной среды, что позволит воссоздать оригинальный художественный образ средствами другого языка. Автор статьи на нескольких примерах показывает возможности воссоздания в переводе гармонично упорядоченного «формосодержания», характерного для эмотивной прозы У. Сарояна, писателя, чья манера письма напоминает искренний разговор, наполненный «легким дыханием».\u0000 The paper approaches the phenomenon of the prose emotive syntax, which is opposed to the logical one and is viewed from the perspective of the poetic function. This function ensures the effect of “light breathing” that the prose may acquire due to an effective combination of form and content, and the usage of peculiar syntax bearing the semantic meaning. To render the “light breathing” of prose in translation, it is necessary to explore pragma-cognitive, pragmatic and linguistic aspects of the emotive context and to restore the imagery created in the original but by means of the target language. Translating some passages from W. {"title":"A New View of Universal Parallelism in the Light of Textual Analysis of Ancient Chinese Literary Heritage","authors":"В.В. В качестве основного материала выбраны комментарии к «Канону Перемен» «Сицы чжуань» («Повествование привязанных слов»). Целью настоящего исследования является адекватная экспликация терминологического аппарата традиции Ицзина (текст самого «Канона Перемен» и десяти комментариев) сквозь призму структурного анализа сопряженного текста-чжуаня. В качестве центральной методологии исследования принимается универсальный параллелизм, предложенный отечественным исследователем В. С. Спириным и понимаемый нами как сознательное использование любой последовательности иероглифов (в том числе и составляющих разорванных цепочек), в чем-либо тождественной другой последовательности и совместно с другими последовательностями образующей параллельные построения. Предлагаемый нами новый метод строится на базе выделения основных единиц — фразы (句 цзюй) и сверхфразового единства, которое может содержать несколько иерархически организованных построений, отражаемых графически путем расположения фраз друг за другом или друг под другом. В результате, опираясь на признаки универсального параллелизма, можно осуществить схематизацию текста и его морфологическое глоссирование, что способствует выделению основных оппозиций в тексте, занимающих одинаковые позиции в сверхфразовых единствах, которые, в свою очередь, в случае китайского текста структурно организованы. Статья написана на основе диссертационного исследования автора «Терминология древнекитайского трактата «Сицы чжуань» («Повествование привязанных слов») и ее проекция на фразеологию современного политического дискурса», защищенного в Санкт-Петербургском государственном университете в мае 2022 года.\u0000 The article addresses the problem of a new interpretation of the concept of universal parallelism in relation to the analysis of the structure of ancient Chinese written monuments. The main material is the commentary on the Book of Changes “Xici zhuan” (“Commentary on the Appended Phrases”). The purpose of our study is to adequately explicate the terminological apparatus of the I Ching tradition (text of I Ching and its commentaries) through the prism of structural analysis of the zhuan-texts. The methodology of the study is based on the universal parallelism proposed by the Russian scholar Vladimir Spirin and determined as the conscious use of any sequence of characters (including the components of broken chains), identical in some way to another sequence and together with other parts forming parallel constructions. Our new method is based on the identification of basic units — a phrase (句 ju) and a super-phrasal unity, which may contain several hierarchically organized constructions, reflected graphically by placingphrases one after another or under each other. Фиксированный порядок слов в английском языке обусловил эксперимент с синтаксисом (с учетом того, что поэты всегда стремятся преодолеть конвенцию языка). Посредством такого синтаксически неузуального употребления стереотипных единиц (дискурсивных слов) производится «критическое переосмысление» языковых процессов клиширования и контекстуальное расширение языковых возможностей. Учитывая большое количество работ, посвященных поэтическому синтаксису, подчеркивается актуальность исследования частного аспекта — парцелляции служебных и функциональных элементов в современной поэзии. В связи с отсутствием самостоятельного денотативного значения, а также высокой степенью зависимости от контекста с точки зрения интерпретации дискурсивных слов, узуальная функция этих прагматических единиц, употребленных в качестве отдельных сообщений-парцеллятов, значительно модифицируется.\u0000 The article presents a study of the specific functioning of discourse markers presented as parceled constructions. The analysis is based on the material of modern English-language poetry. The fixed word order in English led to experimentation with syntax (given that poets always strive to overcome the conventions of language). A “critical rethinking” of the linguistic processes of cliché and a contextual expansion of linguistic possibilities is accomplished through such a syntactically non-usual use of stereotyped units (discourse markers). A large number of works devoted to poetic syntax emphasize the relevance of the study of a particular aspect — the parceling of functional elements in modern poetry. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что в нем впервые обосновывается необходимость введения в научный обиход понятия «дисфемистический потенциал». Показано, что изучение процесса дисфемизации как комплексного лингвокультурного явления предполагает не только подробное рассмотрение его функционально-прагматических параметров, но и выявление концептуальных оснований формирования семантики языковых единиц разной степени сложности, обладающих определенной степенью дисфемистического потенциала. Описание концептуальных механизмов формирования фонда дисфемистических единиц позволит уточнить понятие «дисфемистический потенциал» в синтагматике и парадигматике.\u0000 The article attempts to summarize the existing approaches to the study of dysphemization process in the discourse of modern English media, as well as outline promising methods of analyzing dysphemization. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time it substantiates the need to introduce the concept of “dysphemistic potential” into scientific use. The article shows that the study of dysphemization process as a complex linguocultural phenomenon involves not only a detailed consideration of its functional and pragmatic features, but also the identification of conceptual foundations which form the semantics of language units of varying degrees of complexity with a certain degree of dysphemistic potential. В. Личутина и Ф. А. Абрамова на английский язык, представленные в ряде переводных изданий 1970–1990-х годов. К деонтическим высказываниям в данных произведениях относятся высказывания-императивы, включающие глаголы в повелительном наклонении, а также структуры, в которых деонтическую семантику несет предикат в форме наречия, краткого прилагательного или глагола. Наблюдения, сделанные в ходе исследования, позволяют сделать вывод о том, что, несмотря на существование определенных закономерностей и устойчивых соответствий в лексико-грамматических средствах выражения деонтической модальности в русском и английском языках, на выбор способов передачи деонтической модальности высказывания при переводе художественного произведения влияет знание переводчиком сюжета произведения и его полного текста, позволяющее интерпретировать то или иное высказывание в сторону большей или меньшей степени интенсивности деонтичности, ее нейтрализации или смены деонтического источника.\u0000 This article analyzes cases of translation of deontic utterances from the literary works of V. V. Lichutin and F. A. Abramov into English as presented in various publications of the 1970–1990 time period. These deontic utterances are represented by imperative utterances formed by the means of using verbs in imperative mood and those where deontic meaning is provided by the predicate in a form of an adverb, short adjective or a verb. Классическая поэтическая форма шекспировского сонета (три катрена и заключительное двустишие) может соответствовать различным коммуникативным моделям, отличающимся количеством коммуникативных блоков и их логическим содержанием. Поэт может варьировать направление мысли лирического героя (проспекция — ретроспекция), избирательно подходить к выбору смыслового центра (текущее внутреннее состояние или событие, послужившее его причиной, рефлексия предшествующего опыта, размышления о будущем и пр.). Смысловое выдвижение коммуникативного блока зависит не только от использованных поэтических средств, но и от степени детализации содержания (его вербальной экспликации). Чем более значима мысль для автора, тем более ярко и подробно он ее выражает. Однако краткость как ингерентное свойство сонета одновременно требует и импликации каких-то смыслов, не менее важных для верной интерпретации произведения. Таким образом, коммуникативное пространство любого сонета представлено диалектическим единством эксплицированных и имплицированных смыслов, причем в каждом из них это соотношение варьируется, что в конечном итоге и определяет его оригинальность и художественную ценность.\u0000 The article deals with the communicative structure of the sonnet through the prism of the concept of self-communication (inner speech of the lyrical hero addressed to himself). The classical poetic form of a Shakespearean sonnet (three quatrains and a final couplet) corresponds to various communicative models that differ in the number of communicative blocks and their logical content. The poet can change the direction of the lyrical hero's thoughts (prospection-retrospection), he selectively chooses the semantic center (current internal state of the hero, the event that has caused it, the hero’s reflections on his previous experience or future, etc.). The semantic foregrounding of a communicative block depends not only on poetic means, but also on its verbal explication which can be elaborate or intentionally economized. The more significant the thought seems to the author, the more detailed is its expression. However, brevity, as an inherent property of a sonnet, simultaneously requires implication of some important meanings which add to its correct interpretation. Актуальность выбора темы связана с тем, что художественная литература как вид искусства постоянно пребывает в поиске новых форм. Авторы, работающие в жанре transgressive fiction, стремятся к созданию текста, одним из важных достоинств которого является реалистичность художественного образа. В статье рассматриваются методы и приемы журналистики, в особенности так называемой «новой журналистики» — направления, сформировавшегося в 60–70-е годы ХХ века. “New Journalism” интересен в качестве предмета исследования тем, что изначально создавался как жанр на стыке функциональных стилей: газетно-публицистического и художественной литературы. Апологеты этого вида журналистики поставили цель — создать литературные произведения, превосходящие по качеству современный американский роман, который, как они считали, находится в тупике и упадке. Предмет исследования, художественный текст, понимается в статье в роли реципиента приемов и методов, заимствованных некогда из художественной литературы в публицистику. В статье предпринимается попытка деконструкции текста современного американского писателя Чака Паланика, журналиста по образованию, работающего в жанре трансгрессивного романа. Цель статьи — продемонстрировать важность исторического подхода (в понимании Д. С. Лихачева) к предпереводческому анализу текста. В статье постулируется принцип необходимости учитывать факты биографии писателя, истории создания произведения и определенный диахронический срез национальной литературы США, так как сведения из этих областей знания являются ключевыми для выбора переводческих инвариантов.\u0000 The article treats the problem of choosing translation means while translating the modern American “transgressive novel”. The genre seeks to create lifelike, realistic artistic figures and images. To this end, the author uses journalistic methods and devices, especially those pertaining to the so called “New Journalism”, a trend that flourished in the 60s and 70s of the past century. The term was coined by, and applied to, those who were challenging the boundaries between the functional styles of prose fiction and newspaper. In his 1972 treatise “Why They Aren’t Writing the Great American Novel Anymore” T. Kennerly Wolfe Jr. maintained, that the novel had ceased being exciting. Further, he observed that a new caste of journalists had risen, who were implementing the techniques of fictional realism in their newspaper articles, thus shaping the four principles of New Journalism: scene-by-scene construction; dialogue in full; third-person point of view and detailed surroundings. These principles gave birth to a plethora or rather successful essays and a whole genre of journalism. Цель исследования — на основании отобранного актуального практического материала показать отображение возникших понятий указанного общественного явления при образовании новых лексических единиц (неологизмов), пополняющих словарный состав исследуемых языков, с помощью использования их разветвленной словообразовательной системы. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что эпоха коронавируса, приобретающая на современном этапе скачкообразный характер, не только привела к возникновению новых слов, но и поставила перед языковедами ряд исследовательских задач в области: орфографии (слитное, раздельное или дефисное написание); словообразования (образуется ли лексема из сложения только непосредственных составляющих или с добавлением интерфиксов), как часто встречаются примеры гибридных слов (заимствованное слово + автохтонный элемент); частеречной принадлежности неологизмов. Авторы приходят к выводу, что, обогащая словарный состав исследуемых языков, неологизмы способствуют гибкости языка в осмыслении уже имеющейся лексики и образовании новой.\u0000 The article deals with vocabulary items which represent the COVID-19 phenomenon in German and French. The article aims at showing the way newly-emerging notions reflect the COVID-19 pandemic and enrich the word-stock of the languages under comparison. The novelty of the article is in the fact that COVID-19 pandemic, being saltatory in nature, has not only led to the creation of new words, but has also posed a number of linguistic challenges in terms ofspelling, word-formation and part-of-speech reference.
