The intellectual property notion of trade secrecy means specific information that possesses commercial value and that reasonable efforts have been taken to keep it secret. Innovative pharmaceuticals, both radical and incremental, are especially susceptible to the appropriability problem in knowledge-based economic activity, for turning a prospective molecule as identified in the laboratory into a medicine that may be distributed in the public health system requires many years of computer modeling, animal-testing and, finally, clinical trial testing. Clinical trials are performed in three phases and each phase results in a plethora of data. Drug laws specify that such data are kept confidential by health regulatory authorities for a period of 5 years in the United States and for longer periods in most of Europe. Sufficiently strong appropriability regimes facilitate licensing and cross-licensing relationships between and among universities and business. The most competitive companies has been worried in making more right, in reducing the delivery time, in to store relevant information, among others ways, creating specific mechanisms for this. Aiming at to innovate the management practical of an nourishing company, this work presents a model of implementation of a new management process of integrated development of products and promote an analysis of its main essential aspects. Using the methodology of case study it was possible to understand such aspects, through the presentation of a model that was constructed involving about 50 processes and 30 documents, developed in cycles and getting approvals for the directive body for phases. This article analyzes the innovation strategies of metallurgic companies supplying of the sugar-alcohol sector and some others pertaining to the alcohol local productive arrangement of Piracicaba (APLA). The research is of exploratory and descriptive type, and was carried through with 25 companies of the sector metal-mechanic, most part of them micron, small and medium extent companies. The results of the research showed that the innovations in micron and small companies occur more in products, than in productive processes. Amongst the difficulties found by the companies it is presented tax burden and the raised tax of interests, as well as, restricted access to technologies, credit and markets. Methodology suggested for teaching cases was used to write up the text. The main actors of the case are two sisters Carolina and Liliane, which had a challenge: to decide upon a business opportunity that would be able to solve their unemployment situation and accomplish a life dream. The case states a real situation upon building an enterprise and the sisters’ society, stressing the partnership, the almost three-year period of the enterprise, its challenges and dilemmas, on the period from 2006 to the beginning of 2008. The subjects stated have the target to allow discussion about entrepreneurship and entrepreneur attitude concepts e their association to enterprise practices. A pesquisa se baseou nos referenciais teoricos da Economia de Rede e da Inteligencia Competitiva, aplicando os conceitos desta ultima para antecipar o resultado de uma disputa com caracteristicas de Economia de Rede. A pesquisa foi efetuada pela aplicacao do metodo de Lesca (2003) em um processo de Monitoramento Estrategico Antecipativo, utilizado na preparacao da busca das informacoes e posterior analise. The theoretical review demonstrates that firm can utilize the web to both transactions, to obtain efficiency, and communication, with large possibilities of use. Advantages can be conquered either by using the web as a driver or not. The use of the web is investigated to answer the following question: the use of the web in the relation between firms with strategic alliances in the Information Technology sector is really a source of competitive advantage? It was used descriptive, factorial and ANOVA statistics. The results show the prominence use of the web as a communication toll and less relevance as a driver to obtain better results. The present research aims to identify existing patterns of technological cooperation between sectors of the Brazilian industry, based on data from the National Research of Technological Innovation 2001-2003 (Pintec). The main focus of the present descriptive and exploratory study is to analyze the industrial sectors which are listed at Classificacao Nacional de Atividades Economicas – CNAE (Economic Activity National Classification). The data treatment was made up through cluster analysis. The results identify the existence of two different groups and highlight those that show higher cooperation index, such as: tobacco product manufacturing; oil refining; metallurgical products; office and computer equipment manufacturing; communication equipment and device manufacturing. Minciotti","doi":"10.5585/RAI.V5I2.291","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5585/RAI.V5I2.291","url":null,"abstract":"This article presents a quantitative research conducted with 462 ungraduated business administration students in region of greater Sao Paulo, to assess its consumer’s perception focuses on the innovative behavior and responsibility social and environmental. We make survey in area publications and a focus group with area experts and managers. In sequence we preceded the construction a Likert scale with 28 assertions. For the data analysis we used structural equation modeling method, trying to establish a causal assessment between two constructs importance and recognition by the consumers of correct social and environment enterprises. Five items were also measured socio-demographics of participants. As a result we obtained a value of the degree of adhesion between the two constructs of 0.86, indicating that there is a strong causal relationship. We did a qualitative research and applied the case study methodology at a median company of the cosmetics bazillian sector. The data were collected in two different moments: in 2002 and in 2007. Based on data collection and analysis we identified two moments of the company in it’s pursue of growth. In the year 2000 we used semi-structured interviews with the directors of the company and in 2007 only the president was interviewed. After the analysis of the data collected we concluded that the changes could be classified as innovations. In the year 2000, the financial resources generated from the selling of assets made possible for the company to implement strategies of market penetration by reinvention of essential processes (HAMEL, 2000). Marx","doi":"10.5585/RAI.V5I2.165","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5585/RAI.V5I2.165","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the debate on how companies create organizational environments conducive to innovation development, through its culture, resources, competencies, and the use of interorganizational networks. These factors, as a set, are known as innovative capacity. To accomplish this goal, a bibliographic review theme is carried out, as well as an exploratory research, conducted by case study about the innovation management process in two companies, both considered innovative, and each belonging to a different industrial sector. An analysis of the results of the empirical study suggests that the building of innovative capacity can have different meanings in different types of companies that act in market segments featuring different levels of technology.
