For this reason is necessary to investigate the consumers’ adoption of technologies. The present study aims to investigate the influence of technological readiness (optimism, innovativeness, discomfort and insecurity) on satisfaction and intent to continue to use technology. To this end, we conducted a descriptive study with 250 college students, using two theoretical models, the Technology Readiness Index (TRI), proposed by Parasuraman (2000) and the Post Acceptance Model (PAM) developed by Bhattacherjee (2001). The results, analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling showed that: optimism positively influences satisfaction and intention to continue; discomfort negatively impacts the intention of continuity; insecurity negatively influences satisfaction, and satisfaction is the antecedent of intention continuity. And that, contrary to what was expected, innovativeness has a significant relationship with the intention of continuity, but in reverse, ie, people with a high level of innovativeness tend not continue to use the technology. Primarily, the principal objective of the study is to identify, describe and evaluate the contribution and results of said Cooperative Research Networks related to the biotechnology of Minas Gerais. To achieve this objective, we carried out an analysis of eight accredited research networks in the \"Support Program for Research Networks\" from a funding agency in Minas Gerais. Data was collected in two phases: firstly, a brief literature review on Cooperative Networks; subsequently, secondary information was raised based on the premise that networks intrinsically integrate important features for both scientific and technological breakthroughs in Minas Gerais so as to fully optimize the use of available resources in the development of Science and Technology (S&T) in strategic sectors. The results confirmed that, when developing a network, the exchange between the institutions involved and the interaction between researchers is encouraged, in addition to promoting understanding, thereby intensifying the expertise of groups of excellence. However, there remain no studies concerning the intensity of PA technology use in Brazil. Thus, the principal challenge of this study was to investigate the process of adopting and using such techniques by the sugarcane industry in the state of Sao Paulo, an area that cultivates 60% of national sugarcane production. Hence, we used primary data, through a questionnaire submitted to all sugarcane companies within the area, aiming to ascertain not only the degree of adoption and use of such techniques, but to also elaborate on the debate concerned with the sugarcane industry. Therefore, information on the industries’ characteristics, sources of information for adopting the technology, and the impact and obstacles encountered for implementing the technology were gathered.
