This study aims to describe and explain theuse of transgender slangs in the city of Barabai as well as to the describe and explain thefrom of the word formations in the use of transgender slangs in the city of Barabai. Thisresearch uses descriptive qualitative research method with sociolinguistic approach. Thedata of this research is from the speeches of the transgender people, so the data source isthe transgender people. Data collection was done by observation technique, interviewtechnique, recording technique, and technique of renotetaking. The data then weretranscribed, classified, presented and concluded. The instrument of this research is a tablethat classifies data in accordance with the types of word forms, namely the forms of theword based and the word formations. The results of this study indicate that there are 201words of the transgender slangs used in 62 discourse fragments analyzed which arecreated from the transgender language itself or from the word formations which endingsconsist of 12 categories and the formations are from the English language. The meaningsof these words have various meanings depending on the conversations carried out bytransgender people, for example: one word has many meanings and it depends on thecontents of the conversations they have. From the 60 discourse conversations, there are270 uses of slang words in the form of affixation process,i.e. prefixes, infixes (insertion),suffixes or confixes (prefix and suffix) and reduplication process.Key words: slang, transvestite, wordAbstrakPenggunaan Bahasa Slang Waria di Kota Barabai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan penggunaan kosakata bahasa slang waria di kotaBarabai serta mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan wujud kata bentukan dalam penggunaanbahasa slang waria di kota Barabai. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian metodedeskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik. Data penelitian ini adalah darituturan para waria dan sumber datanya dari para waria. Pengumpulan data dilakukandengan cara teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, teknik rekaman, dan teknik catat. Dataitu lalu mentranskripsikan, mengklasifikasi, menyajikan serta menyimpulkan. Instrumenpenelitian ini berupa tabel yang mengklasifikasikan data sesuai dengan jenis wujud kata,yaitu wujud kata dasar dan kata bentukan. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwapenggunaan kosakata bahasa slang yang digunakan dari 62 penggalan wacana yang telahdianalisis terdapat 201 kosakata yang tercipta dari bahasa waria itu sendiri maupun daritata bentukan kata yang berakhiran yang terdiri dari 12 kategori dan tata bentukan daribahasa Inggris. Makna dari kata-kata tersebut mempunyai berbagai arti tergantung dari16percakapan yang dilakukan para waria, misalnya dari satu kata mempunyai banyak artidan itu tergantung pada isi pembicaraan atau percakapan yang mereka lakukan. This research is expected to provide a description of these speech acts. Thisresearch used a qualitative approach. The source of data in this study was the KUAofficials who gave pre-marital counseling in KUA of Balangan. The data collectiontechniques in this research were recording and note-taking. From the results of theresearch, it was concluded that there were five types from Searle of speech acts used ina pre-marital counseling, namely: (1) assertive speech acts in the forms of a)maintaining marriage, b) stating the purpose of marriage, marriage problems, theimportance of marriage certificates, understanding the Board of Advisory, abouthusband and wife, and c) reporting ages of marriage; (2) directive speech acts in theforms of a) suggestions to get married, resolving marriage problems, and formingharmonious marriage, b) asking for forming and fostering sakinah, mawadah,warahmah marriage, and worshiping Allah, c) asking couples for carrying out theduties and obligations as husband and wife, and d) recommending marriage, carryingout duties and obligations of husband, wives, and carrying out joint obligations; (3)commissive speech acts in the form of submitting proposals for a marriage contract; (4)expressive speech acts in the forms of a) thanking prospective brides and grooms, b)congratulating couples, c) regretting if the reasons for marriage, d) apologizing tomarried couples, and e) censuring married couples who did not apply mandi wajib andwives; and (5) declarative speech acts in the form of determining whether the marriagewould be held or not and deciding the marriage of the couples.Key words: speech acts, premarital guidance discourse61AbstrakPenelitian ini memfokuskan pada tindak tutur asertif, ekspresif, dan tindak tuturdeklaratif yang digunakan dalam wacana bimbingan pranikah. This study focuses on pronunciationof morphological devices, namely affixation, source reduplication in SMP LBBanjarmasin.This study used qualitative descriptive method. The data collected wasbased on the actual environment and in the situation as it was the ability to pronouncementally retarded children. Data collection started from observation, recording,interviewing, and library techniques. Sources of the data study were mild mentallyretarded children. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that topronounce affixtion of students of SMP LB Banjarmasin seen in using prefix me-, ber-,ter-, pe-, di-, sufix -an, -kan, and confix me-kan, ke-an. Mentally retarded children oftenadd phonemes when speaking, as in prefks men- became meng, prefix ber- becamebeng, and mentally retarded children often removed phonemes when speaking as prefixme(N)- became me-. The reduplication abilty found was reduplication in the form ofintact repetition, partial reduplication and basic affixed reduplication. The ability tocomposition mild mentally retarded chldren pronounces in using composition such asbahasa Indonesia, naik kelas, salat jumat, musim hujan, musim panas, and makansiang. But, there were some of mild mentally retarded children who did not usecomposition correctly such as pak gulu, lumah sakit, tanah ail, ail mata, kelas kepala,keleta api, melimpah luah, halta benda, jalan laya, olang tua, padang lumput, and halilibul. Metode dalam penelitian ini merupakan metodekualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi denganteknik pengumpulan data yaitu (1) pengumpulan data, (2) penyeleksian data, (3)menganalisis data dalam tabel, dan (4) menyimpulkan data. Dengan menggunakanmetode ini diharapkan penelitian dapat menghasilkan tujuan yang sesuai dengan apayang diharapkan peneliti. Peneliti mengambil data sebanyak 10 teks lagu Banjar.Sumber data yang diambil tidak mempertimbangkan siapa yang menyanyikan danpencipta lagu Banjar tersebut. Narrative structures are the narrator's way of presenting events toaudiences. The narrative has a structure from start to finish. The narrative structure foundin Banjar marriage in Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara consists of 3 (three) stages: first,middle, and end. Adat Banjar is an idea of Banjar urban culture in developing culturalsystem, social system and cultural material which is related to religion, through variousprocess of adaptation, acculturation and assimilation. So that will appear to be mixing incultural aspects. The focus of this research is the narrative structure, at the stage of jujurmaatar and stage of marriage ceremony. The approach used is anthropological approach,with the type of descriptive research, and research method used is qualitative method. Theresults of this study are as follows: narrative structure found in Banjar customarymarriage, namely: 1) the structure of narrative stage jujuran maatar, early stage(welcoming the prospective groom), middle stage (delivery of delivery by the prospectivegroom) male and acceptance of delivery by the prospective bride), and the final stage(prayer and fresh bite). 2) The structure of the narrative stage of the marriage ceremony;2.1 stages of requesting permission to be married, early stage (prospective bride askspermission to be married), middle stage (guardians grant permission), and final stage(guardian represents to the penghulu and penghulu receive to represent the guardian). 2.2phase of marriage ceremony, early stage (opening ceremony of marriage ceremony),middle stage (qabul qabul and sighat ta'lik reading), and final stage (prayer read).Key words: narrative structure, Banjar customary marriageAbstrakStruktur Narasi Perkawinan Adat Banjar di Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara KabupatenKotabaru. Struktur narasi adalah cara pembuat narasi dalam menghadirkan peristiwakepada khalayak. Narasi mempunyai struktur dari awal hingga akhir. Struktur narasi yangterdapat pada perkawinan adat Banjar di Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara, terdiri dari 3(tiga) tahap, yaitu: tahap awal (beginning), tahap tengah (midle), dan tahap akhir (end).Adat Banjar adalah sebuah gagasan kebudayaan urang Banjar dalam mengembangkansistem budaya, sistem sosial dan material budaya yang mana berkaitan dengan religi,melalui berbagai proses adaptasi, akulturasi dan asimilasi. The similarities is due to the fact thatIndonesia and Banjarese have the same origin, wich comes from Malay. The prefikxber- in Indonesia has three allomorphs namely ber-, be-, and bel- while the Banjareseonly two, namely ba- and bal. Ber- and ba- functions are the same as formingintransitive verbs, but ba- in Banjar language can also function to form transitive verbs.The meaning of ber- and ba- has many similarities but there are also differences.Prefixes ba-, for example, can mean ‘more or intentionally doing a work’ as examplepanjang → bapanjang; kaina → bakaina, and gugur → bagugur.Key words: ber- prefix, ba- prefix, Indonesian language, Banjar languageAbstrakPersamaan dan Perbedaan Prefiks Ber- dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Ba- dalambahasa Banjar. Prefiks ber- dalam bahasa Indonesia dan ba- dalam bahasa Banjarmemiliki persamaan dan perbedaan dalam hal bentuk, fungsi, dan makna. Persamaanitu disebabkan bahwa bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Banjar memiliki asal yang samayakni berasal dari bahasa Melayu. Prefiks ber- dalam bahasa Indonesia memiliki tigaalomorf, yakni ber-, be-, dan bel-, sedangkan bahasa Banjar hanya memiliki duaalomorf, yakni ba- dan bal-. Fungsi ber- dan ba- sama-sama sebagai pembentuk katakerja intranstif, namun, ba- dalam bahasa Banjar dapat juga berfungsi untukmembentuk kata kerja transitif, seperti pada baunjun sapat ‘mengail ikan sepat’, danlain-lain. Makna ber- dan ba- memiliki banyak kesamaan, namun ada pulaperbedaannya. Palaya is a community folklore of Katingan sub-ethnic whish is one of the literary works owned by the community of Katingan Tengah sub-ethnic. This study focuses on personal values which include: (1) emotional value, (2) moral value, and (3) Social value. There were 20 personal values found in the story of Palaya, the Katingan sub-ethnic which consist of expression of joy, sadness, fear, shympaty and emphaty, hatred and revenge. There were 16 moral values found in the story of Palaya, the Katingan sub-ethnic, they were respectful, devoted, patient, brave, honest, and wise. There were 10 social values found in the story of Palaya, the Katingan sub-ethnic, they were cooperative attitude, mutual help, doing cooperative activities, helping to overcome difficulties others.Key words: emotional value, moral value, social value, Palaya, story sub-ethnic KatinganAbstrakNilai Personal dalam Cerita Palaya Subetnik Katingan. Palaya adalah dongeng masyarakat subetnik Katingan yang merupakan salah satu bentuk sastra yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat subetnik Katingan Tengah. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada nilai personal yang meliputi: (1) nilai emosional, (2) nilai moral, dan (3) nilai sosial. Nilai personal yang terdapat pada cerita palaya subetnika Katingan berjumlah dua puluh yang terdiri dari ekspresi gembira, sedih, takut, simpati dan empati, benci dan dendam. Nilai moral yang terdapat pada cerita palaya subetnika Katingan berjumlah enam belas yang terdiri dari rasa hormat, berbakti, sabar, berani, jujur, dan bijaksana. Journal ofliteracy literature is one of the students work in the form of book reports after the basic literacy habituationis done. This study examines (1) the content of literacy literature journal, and (2) the constraints inwriting the literacy literature journal content of SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin students. This research usedescriptive qualitative approach. Data and sources of data in this research is the result of writing in theliteracy literature journal by students of SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques in thisstudy by doing observation, questionnaire, interview, population and sample. The population in thisstudy is the eleven grade students. The technique used is random sampling, which is by taking 10% oftotal population 311 counted 32 samples. Data analysis technique techniques of this research are throughthree steps such as reduction data, presentation data and conclusion by using the formula of the averagelevel mastery. The results obtained from literacy literature journal writing skills were viewed based onfive rating categories with scores; (1) content 79.6%, (2) organization 75.3%, (3) vocabulary 67.6%, (4)syntax 75.4%, and (5) mechanism 92.6%. So, the average literacy literature writing skills of SMA Negeri7 Banajarmasin students get good assessment qualification, that is 78.1% located at interval 75-84%.The constraints found in the literacy literature journal writing rests on two main factors, namely internalfactors and external factors. The constraints found in the internal factor includes; (1) determining themain idea of the story, (2) the final/ inductive topic, (3) the development of the paragraph, and (4) theuse of spelling and punctuation, while the constraints found in the external factor includes; (1) limitedtime, and (2) limited reading sources.Key words: writing ability, literacy literature journalAbstrakKemampuan Menulis Jurnal Literasi Sastra Siswa SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang (1) isi jurnal literasi sastra, dan (2) kendala-kendaladalam penulisan isi jurnal literasi sastra siswa SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Peneltian ini menggunakanpendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dan sumber data penelitian ini ialah hasil tulisan siswa padajurnal literasi sastra. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan observasi, angket, wawancara, sertapopulasi dan sampel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI. Derivation does not only happen in Indonesian language, it also happenin local language, such as Banjarmasin. This research focuses on problems of the Derivarion Verbs ofBanjarese. The purposes of this research are (1) to describe the form of derivation verbs of Banjarese,and (2) to describe the function of derivation verbs of Banjarese. Data of this research are the words inBanjarese. The data sources of this research are documentation and informants. Extracting data is takenby using interview technique and record. Data analyzed did by qualitative analysis techniques. Based onthe result research, obtained conclusions are (1) Derivation verbs through affixes, are ba-, di- maN-, ta-,ba-an, di-i, di-akan, di-iakan, maN-i, maN-akan, maN-iakan, ta-i, ta-akan, ta-iakan, -i, -akan, -iakan,and tapa-. Derivation verbs through reduplication, are found some forms such as intact reduplication,partial reduplication (first tribal reduplication, first tribal reduplication + affixes), and changes soundreduplication. While derivation through composition are found some forms, such as composition of freeform with free form and composition of free form with bound form/bound form with free form, and (2)derivation function, affixes addition, repetitions, composition function to change word class.Key words: form, derivation verbs, function, banjareseAbstrakDerivasi Verba Bahasa Banjar. Derivasi tidak hanya terjadi di dalam bahasa Indonesia saja, derivasijuga terjadi dalam bahasa daerah, seperti Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini memfokuskan masalah DerivasiVerba Bahasa Banjar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) memaparkan bentuk derivasi verbabahasa Banjar, dan (2) memaparkan fungsi derivasi verba dalam bahasa Banjar. Data penelitian iniadalah kata-kata dalam bahasa Banjar. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi dan informan.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara dan rekaman. Analisis data dilakukan denganteknik análisis kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan (1) Derivasi verba melaluiafiks, yakni ba-, di-, maN-, ta-, ba-an, di-i, di-akan, di-iakan, maN-i, maN-akan, maN-iakan, ta-i,ta-akan, ta-iakan, -i, -akan, iakan, dan tapa-. Derivasi verba melalui reduplikasi ditemukan bentukbentuk,sperti reduplikasi utuh, reduplikasi sebagian (reduplikasi suku pertama, reduplikasi sukupertama + afiks), dan reduplikasi berubah bunyi.
