In the 3 years following the death of Carl Rogers, many were expressing dissatisfaction with ''traditional'' or \"pure'' client-centered counseling and were engaged in trying to supplement it, extend it, and modify it. The basic complaint seems to be that the counselor conditions specified by Rogers (1957) are not sufficient.
