Women are sometimes acknowledged for their existence, but on the other hand they are also often looked down. The culture have a significant influence on understanding a woman's existence. One of them is in Batak culture, the hierarcy pattern between men and women is very thick with patrilineal elements and this is very detrimental to the existence of women in their lifes. Batak women's efforts to find their existence are often seen as a form of resistance to patriarchal culture. This is what ultimately results in women being asked to be 'obedient' figures in the sense of obeying all orders and even depending on men. This paper will look at how the existence of women in an existentialist feminist perspective, especially from Beauvoir's point of view. Existentialist feminists will dismantle the patrilineal element and reconstruct it so that the existence of women, especially Batak, is not always under the influence of men. This study was conducted for some reasons, namely: first, Galatians 3:28 has become the center of controversy, in recent years this text has become increasingly popular from a feminist perspective. In comparison with 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Col.3:11 which record the same idea, this text is considered positive for women and becomes the climax of the biblical statement about gender equality. Second, this text is unique and complex to interpret because it frames the baptismal formula for the new Christianity. Third, Galatians 3:28 is the text that underlies the message of liberation for women in the New Testament. This text forms the basis of fundamental Pauline theology which teaches a spirituality of equality between men and women of all racial and ethnic groups, economic classes, and age groups. This text uses a feminist hermeneutic method, which provides space for women's and men's participation as equal and mutual partners, both privately and publicly. The results of the research show several things, namely: first, Galatians 3:28 is an important verse against equality. Second, this text presents the theological consequences of the legitimacy of the New Testament for universal spiritual equality. Third, this text ensures equal spiritual status and opportunities in leadership for all. In essence, this text is based on equality that has an impact and is relevant to the work of liberation for women.AbstrakStudi bertujuan menafsirkan Galatia 3:28 dari perspektif feminis merelevansikan dalam konteks kontemporer. Studi ini dilakukan dilatari beberapa alasan, yaitu: pertama, Galatia 3:28 menjadi pusat kontroversi, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir maraknya teks ini dari perspektif kaum feminis. Dalam komparasi dengan teks 1 Korintus 12:13 dan Kol.3:11 yang mencatat ide sama, teks ini dianggap positif bagi perempuan dan menjadi klimaks pernyataan alkitabiah tentang kesetaraan gender. Kedua, teks ini unik dan kompleks ditafsirkan karena dibingkai formula pembaptisan untuk Kekristenan baru. Ketiga, Galatia 3:28 merupakan teks yang mendasari pesan pembebasan bagi perempuan dalam Perjanjian Baru. Teks ini menjadi dasar teologi fundamental Pauline yang mengajarkan spiritualitas kesetaraan antara laki-laki dan perempuan dari semua kelompok ras dan etnis, semua kelas ekonomi, dan semua kelompok umur. Teks ini memakai metode hermeneutik feminis, yang memberi ruang partisipasi perempuan dan laki-laki sebagai mitra setara dan mutual secara privat maupun publik. The study employs a qualitative method, specifically using a phenomenological approach, to examine and understand the complexities of discrimination against the LGBT community, legal viewpoints in Indonesia, and the Church's stance, along with Pope Francis' approach regarding the legality of discrimination against the LGBT community in Indonesia. The results of this research reveal that discrimination against the LGBT community in Indonesia is a prevalent issue, leading to both physical-psychological disturbances and spiritual impacts for the victims. Indonesian law aligns with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, aiming to safeguard every individual's human rights and fundamental obligations, including those of the LGBT community. Furthermore, the research shows an attitude of love, respect, and acceptance of all individuals, including the LGBT community, emphasizing that no one is excluded from God's love in His grand plan of human vocations.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang fakta-fakta dan pengaruh dari diskriminasi kelompok LGBT di Indonesia, untuk mengetahui perspektif hukum Indonesia terhadap diskriminasi kelompok LGBT dan sikap Paus Fransiskus dalam menyikapi persoalan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi fenomenologi. Dengan studi fenomenologi, bertujuan untuk mencermati dan memahami akan persoalan diskriminasi kelompok LGBT, perspektif hukum di Indonesia dan Gereja serta sikap Paus Fransiskus terhadap legalitas diskriminasi kaum LGBT di Indonesia.  Berdasarkan penelitian ini, hasil temuan peneliti di antaranya: Pertama, diskriminasi kelompok LGBT di Indonesia menjadi masalah yang banyak di temukan. Hal ini terbukti dari banyaknya fakta-fakta peristiwa terjadi terkait dengan diskriminasi kelompok LGBT. Kedua, masalah diskriminasi kelompok LGBT memberikan pengaruh terhadap gangguan fisik-psikis bagi korban tetapi juga secara spiritual. Ketiga, dalam menyikapi persoalan itu, hukum Indonesia selalu berbanding lurus dengan DUHAM untuk selalu melindungi setiap hak dan kewajiban asasi dari setiap manusia, termasuk kelompok LGBT. Keempat, sikap mengasihi dan menghormati semua orang sebagai makhluk yang bermartabat dan ciptaan Tuhan tanpa harus adanya diskriminasi, termasuk kelompok LGBT di Indonesia. Sebagaimana, Allah adalah kasih, maka tidak ada satu pun orang yang dikecualikan dari cinta Allah termasuk kelompok LGBT. Pikahulan","doi":"10.37196/kenosis.v9i1.655","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37196/kenosis.v9i1.655","url":null,"abstract":"Religious moderation is a social condition where people of different faiths can interact and practice their religion without suspicion and anxiety, following Minister of Religious Affairs Decree No. 93 of 2022, guiding Civil Servants of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to promote interfaith harmony. This study uses a qualitative approach by looking at several indicators regarding the role of the Maluku FKUB in maintaining moderation in sports in Ambon City. Qualitative research was carried out by direct interviews with several board members of the FKUB Maluku, starting with the chairman and members. The object of this research specifically looks at the role of FKUB as an institution on religion that already exists in Maluku Province, its position is expected to provide education to the public regarding the actuality of moderate religious understanding. Religious moderation can be understood as an appropriate religious attitude in the midst of a plural society. The results of this study include that FKUB as a religious institution in Maluku Province fully accepts the concept of religious moderation and feels the urgency of implementing it in the midst of society, in its operations various kinds are carried out, including socializing the concept of inter-religious harmony both through digital and print media, besides that carry out dialogue activities by presenting various elements of society, elements of government, dialogue between religious leaders, teachers and religious instructors, in Ambon City.AbstrakModerasi beragama merupakan suatu kondisi sosial di mana umat yang berbeda agama dapat berinteraksi sekaligus menjalankan agamanya tanpa ada rasa kecurigaan dan kecemasan, hal ini sesuai dengan Keputusan Menteri Agama No. 93 Tahun 2022 tentang Pedoman Penyelenggaraan Penguatan Moderasi Beragama bagi Pegawai Negeri Sipil Kementerian Agama. Melalui KMA ini pun diinstruksikan kepada seluruh Forum Komunikasi Umat Beragama di berbagai daerah untuk menjalankan perannya menciptakan keharmonisan antar umat beragama di daerah masing-masing. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana FKUB Maluku menjalankan agenda agenda moderasi beragama di Maluku pasca KMA No 93 Tahun 2022 tersebut diterbitkan. Penelitian kualitatif dilaksanakan dengan wawancara langsung pada beberapa pengurus anggota FKUB Maluku, mulai dari ketua dan anggota. Qualitative method with descriptive approach and literature study are used in analysing the text. The similar survey that discussed apocalyptic genre has been done by Kristian Bendoraitis in his article thoroughly. Bendoraitis in his article commented the meaning of apocalyptic in Matthew, the role of angel in Jesus and His disciples’ life and the role of Son of God in the time of judgement. The other scholar was David H. Wenkel. Wenkel analysed  text of Mat 1-2 from apocalyptic genre side which focused on Jesus’s identity from David genealogy and the King of Israel. Here, the writer wants to show the apocalyptic elements that occupy dominantly in Joseph dream and the role of the angel in God’s salvation work. The question is whether Joseph’s dream in Mat 2:13-23 has apocalyptic aspects? The study shows that through dream, the angel of God guided Joseph in saving Jesus. Dream and angel are apocalyptic elements.AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menghantar pembaca memahami narasi teks Matius 2:13-23 dari sudut pandang genre apokaliptik. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan studi literatur digunakan dalam menganalisis teks. Penelitian atas Injil Matius yang membahas genre apokaliptik telah dilakukan oleh Kristian Bendoraitis secara cukup mendetil.  Bendoraitis dalam artikelnya mengulas pengertian apokaliptik dalam Injil Matius, peran malaikat dalam kehidupan Yesus dan murid-murid-Nya dan peran Anak Manusia pada waktu penghakiman. Peneliti lainnya adalah David H. Wenkel. Wenkel menelaah teks Mat 1-2 dari sisi genre apokaliptik yang berfokuskan pada identitas Yesus sebagai keturunan Daud dan raja Israel. Sementara itu, penulis bermaksud menunjukkan unsur-unsur apokaliptik yang hadir secara cukup dominan dalam mimpi Yusuf serta peran malaikat dalam karya keselamatan Allah. Pertanyaan yang penulis ajukan adalah apakah kisah mimpi Yusuf dalam teks Mat 2:13-23 ini memiliki unsur apokaliptik? This paper develops the extent of youth interest in worship using creative liturgy with a postcolonial approach. The goal is that in youth worship at the GPI Eliezer congregation there is a form of worship that is different from the usual. The research method used in the GPI Eliezer Sentani congregation is a qualitative method. The creative Liturgy arrangement used in the youth worship of GPI Eliezer Sentani is first, opening in the form of remarks, prayers and hymns in Papuan or other ethnic languages and accompanied by Tifa music and other music. second, confession or worship. third, reading the Bible and sermons using Papuan or other ethnic languages such as Maluku, worship, intercession or prayer together and closing. In the GPI Eliezer Youth worship service, apart from using local languages in singing and reading the Bible, it also uses singing accompaniment with tifa music and regional dances. Postcolonial liturgy is needed in a worship service so that the congregation feels valued regardless of race, ethnicity, or background.AbstrakLiturgi Poskolonial adalah sebuah pendekatan dalam liturgi Kristen yang memperlihatkan pemahaman kritis terhadap dampak penjajahan dan upaya untuk menciptakan ruang ibadah yang terbuka dan adil bagi semua orang. Tulisan ini mengembangkan sejauh mana ketertarikan pemuda dalam Ibadah menggunakan liturgi kreatif dengan pendekatan poskolonial. Tujuannya supaya dalam ibadah pemuda di jemaat GPI Eliezer ada bentuk ibadah yang berbeda dari yang biasanya. Metode penelitian di Jemaat GPI Eliezer Sentani yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Susunan Liturgi kreatif yang digunakan dalam ibadah pemuda GPI Eliezer Sentani adalah pertama, pembukaan berupa sambutan, doa dan nyanyian pujian dalam Bahasa Daerah Papua atau etnis lainnya dan diiringi musik Tifa dan musik lainnya. kedua, pengakuan dosa atau penyembahan. ketiga, pembacaan alkitab dan khotbah dengan menggunakan Bahasa Daerah Papua atau etnis lainnya seperti Maluku, persembahan, doa syafaat atau doa bersama dan penutup. Asia experiences a syndrome known as the colonial syndrome, so that postcolonial hermeneutics is needed in the life of the church. The main ideas are as follows, namely a shift from Western hermeneutics to Asian hermeneutics (dialogical interpretation model), from textual interpretation to oral hermeneutics, from Asian interpretation to religious pluralism (multifaith hermeneutics) and from religious pluralism to gender justice. Kwok Pui-lan's theology brings dimensions of intersectionality (cross) between colonialism, gender and religion, which is a fresh material to build a postcolonial theology of religious and gender diversity in Indonesia. The contribution of this article is that Kwok Pui-lan's thoughts build awareness of “multiplicity”, namely about the existence of many identities and layers of domination from the analysis of colonial history, race, class, culture, sexual orientation and gender.Abstrak Studi ini merujuk pada pemikiran Kwok Pui-lan tentang pergeserannya dari Pluralisme agama menuju keadilan gender di Asia. Asia mengalami sindrom yang disebut sebagai sindrom kolonial, sehingga dibutuhkan hermeneutika postkolonial dalam kehidupan menggereja. Pokok-pokok pemikirannya adalah sebagai berikut yaitu adanya pergeseran dari hermeneutika Barat menuju hermeneutika Asia (model penafsiran dialogis), dari intepretasi tekstual menuju hermeneutika lisan (oral), dari intepretasi Asia menuju pluralisme agama (multifaith hermeneutics) dan dari pluralisme agama menuju keadilan gender. Teologi keagamaan Kwok Pui-lan membawa dimensi interseksionalitas (persilangan) antara kolonialisme, gender dan agama, yang mana menjadi bahan segar untuk membangun teologi postkolonialisme di Indonesia. Penulis melihat bahwa, kerusakan alam diakibatkan oleh ulah manusia yang bertindak semena-mena atas alam. Perlakuan tersebut tak jauh dari konsep bahwa manusia adalah pusat (antroposentrisme), dan karenanya berhak memperlakukan alam semaunya. Akibatnya ialah lingkungan yang tercemar, pemanasan global, polusi, deforestasi dan krisis lingkungan lainnya. Penulis melihat fenomena tersebut dari sudut pandang kearifan lokal masyarakat Toraja, yaitu konsep Sangserekan. Dalam konsep tersebut dijumpai “roh” Pancasila tentang bagaimana berlaku adil secara “menyeluruh”, tidak hanya bagi sesama manusia, tetapi berlaku juga bagi alam. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif, dan pendekatan yang digunakan ialah fenomenologis. Penulis sampai pada temuan bahwa keadilan dalam Pancasila berlaku bagi seluruh ciptaan yang ada, termasuk alam. Dan konsep tersebut ditemui dalam konsep Sangserekan masyarakat Toraja. Dengan demikian alam adalah Sangserekan/ saudara, karenanya layak diperlakukan secara adil.AbstractThe focus of this aims to address the ecological crisis that is happening today. The author sees that, the damage to nature is caused by human activities that act arbitrarily upon nature. This treatment is not far from the concept that humans are the center (anthropocentrism), and therefore have the right to treat as they please. The result is a polluted environment, global warming, pollution, deforestation, and other environmental crises. The author looks at this phenomenon from the point of view of the local wisdom of the Toraja people, namely the concept of Sangserekan. In this concept one can find the “spirit” of Pancasila about how to act fairly “overall”, not only for fellow human beings, but also for nature. The methodology used in this study is phenomenological. The author comes to the finding that justice in Pancasila applies to all existing creation, including nature. And this concept is found in the concept of Sangserekan of the Toraja people. The equality of these two laws lies in the pattern of the relationship between humans and God and humans with each other. By looking at the equality between these two laws, it can be ascertained that in fact the application of the Fondrakõ law to the lives of the people of Nias is very contextual. The discussion in this article uses the cross-textual reading method, which refers to a comparative-correlative study approach by looking at and finding similarities and differences between the two selected texts. The results of the research show that the Fondrakõ law and the Torah Law are actually two laws that have similarities and are interrelated to one another. Even if there are differences between the two laws, these differences can be used to complement each other and enrich each other's meanings. Thus, Torah law can actually be applied in the life of Nias people through Fondrakõ laws, especially those that regulate the relationship between humans and God and each other.AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan kesetaraan antara hukum Fondrakõ dengan sepuluh Hukum Taurat seperti yang ditulis dalam Keluaran 20:3-17. Kesetaraan kedua hukum ini terletak pada pola hubungan antara manusia dengan Tuhan dan manusia dengan sesamanya. Dengan melihat kesetaraan antara kedua hukum ini, dapat dipastikan bahwa sesungguhnya pemberlakuan hukum Fondrakõ terhadap kehidupan masyarakat Nias sangat kontekstual. Pembahasan dalam artikel ini menggunakan metode pembacaan cross textual, yang mengacu pada pendekatan studi komparatif-korelatif dengan cara melihat dan menemukan persamaan dan perbedaan kedua teks terpilih. Hasil dari penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa hukum Fondrakõ dengan Hukum Taurat sesungguhnya merupakan dua hukum yang memiliki persamaan dan saling bertalian satu sama lain. Kalau pun ada perbedaan di antara kedua hukum tersebut, justru perbedaan itu dapat dipakai untuk saling melengkapi dan memperkaya makna satu sama lain. This study seeks to interpret and relate the story of Noah and his ark to the situation of Covid-19 sufferers who are in self-isolation. The research method in this study is a qualitative method through literature review, namely descriptive analysis of the book of Genesis 6-7. The research method in this study is a qualitative method through literature review, namely descriptive analysis by exegesis the book of Genesis 6-7. The findings obtained were that Noah and his extended family as well as various types of animals in the ark were the first acts of self-isolation on God's instructions because of the very dangerous conditions of the flood. Those who helped isolate themselves in the ark for 150 days to avoid the threat of the danger of a flood. Patients with Covid-19 must now self-isolate for 14 days for their personal safety and for the safety of their families and others around them. Covid-19 sufferers need support and enthusiasm from every community while undergoing independent isolation in an effort to complete recovery.AbstrakIsolasi mandiri merupakan pengasingan dalam sementara waktu di dalam sebuah tempat karena situasi yang dianggap berbahaya. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk memaknai dan merelevansikan kisah Nuh dan bahteranya kepada situasi penderita Covid-19 yang menjalani isolasi mandiri. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif melalui kajian pustaka yakni analisis deskriptif dengan mengeksegesa kitab Kejadian 6-7. Hasil temuan yang diperoleh ialah ternyata Nuh dan keluarga besarnya serta berbagai jenis binatang dalam bahtera merupakan tindakan isolasi mandiri pertama atas instruksi Tuhan karena kondisi air bah yang sangat berbahaya. Mereka yang turut mengisolasi diri dalam bahtera selama 150 hari supaya terhindar dari ancaman bahaya air bah. Para penderita Covid-19 kini juga harus melakukan isolasi mandiri selama 14 hari demi keselamatan pribadinya dan demi keselamatan keluarganya dan orang lain yang berada di sekitarnya.
