{"title":"The specificity of the way-road motif implementation in domestic urban fantasy","authors":"Elena A. Safron","doi":"10.20339/phs.5-23.057","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20339/phs.5-23.057","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyzes the implementation’s variations of the fairy-tale motif the way-road in modern domestic fantasy on the example of its urban variety, which is characterized by the obligatory presence of dual world principle (the world of reality coexists on an equal footing with the fantasy world) and the presence of a protagonist, who, like a romantic hero, feels tragic discord with the reality. It turns out that the path-road is closely connected with the folklore motif of magical escape: the hero sets off on a journey around the city, because he tries to escape from the fantastic creatures pursuing him, eager not only to deprive him of supernatural abilities, but also to kill him, however in the final, when the protagonist reaches the end point of his path, he defeats all antagonists. The author decides, that the path-road motif is equated to a quest and determines the entire plot of urban fantasy: the protagonist moves along a path limited by the boundaries of urban space, which becomes an initiation for him, allowing him to improve himself both ethically and in supernatural skills. On the one hand, the dynamics of the author’s poetics can be traced from the early works of the noughties (“Sankya” and “Sin”) to the latest texts — “Some will not go to hell” and “Militia romance”. On the other hand, Prilepin’s work fits into the general literary context of the noughties, and comparing the basic characteristics of Prilepin’s text with such trends of Russian literature as “trench prose”, “new realism” and “new sincerity” allows us to conclude about the typological similarity of Prilepin’s work and D. Prigov’s “new sincerity”. {"title":"On the question of the originality of assessments of the behavior of heroes in modern Russian prose (based on the stories of V. Pietsukh “I and Perestroika” and Yu. The article focuses all attention on such a trend that has spun off from this literature as the “ironic avant-garde”. In the 21st century, it becomes a panacea for the work of many Russian word artists, whose names are given in the work. The essence of this trend in the presented article is that, in general and in general, the realistic picture of the facts and events described by the author is invariably presented in a mockingly ironic light. The two compared stories parody the slogan of the general happiness of people, provided by the authorities of society with the help of the ideology of social equality, fraternity and even redistribution of material wealth among them. In reality, in the story of V. Pietsukh, the institution of the family, love and marriage is debunked (the key phrase from the lips of the hero sounds like this: “we are going through a period of an antediluvian form of family and marriage”); Y. Koval’s dream of a talented artist to break out into the people, but living below the poverty line, is being thrown off the pedestal (almost according to Dostoevsky). Yudkowsky “Harry Potter and the methods of rationality” from the point of view of various genre strategies. We analyze Yudkowsky’s text as an example of the realization of possibilities of the network space for popularization of transhumanism and principles of rationality by creating a didactic novel based on the J.K. Rowling’s literary universe. Also it is a postmodern novel based on the deconstruction of Rowling’s “canonical” text and key elements of the fantasy genre. Besides that, this text is a philosophical existentialist novel, which reflects the author’s worldview. Yudkowsky’s experiment with genres demonstrates the potential of fanfiction texts illustrating R. Barth’s concept of reader’s active role: the famous story written by J. Rowling gets new meanings in Yudkowsky’s interpretation. Deconstructing the logic of fantasy, the author realizes didactic tasks, teaches rationality to his readers and reflects on the ethics of action, making Harry Potter a superhero, whose principles are correlated with the ideas of J.-P. Sartre and F. Nietzsche. Intentionality is realized as a plan that forms an intention and utilizes the form of a signal. A special role here is played by the system of instrumental attitudes of the CPP, which make up the cognitive-mental strategy of one’s actions and interactions on the basis of the target and self-identification CPS subsystems (cognitive-pragmatic sets). An instrumental-operational strategy is a cognitive project (action plan) of the source subject aimed at the successful implementation of one / several strategic goals of the CPP. The dynamic instrumental-operational model of the intentional P-D(S) functioning can be represented as a formula: instrumental-operational strategy of the intentional P-D(S) (“how”) = tool - method - operation (action). The instrumental-operational strategy acquires the properties of the intentional-discursive space in which it is actualized. This is the reason for the internal (cognitive-mental) harmonization and integrity of the discourse signal. Each of the components of the instrumental-operational strategy P-D(S) (tool, method, operation (action)) can be considered both as part of the general dynamic signal of the actual discourse / CPP, and as an independent signal. There are two options for describing the functional activity of software Р-D(S): instrumental signal P-D(S) (“how”) = the first component of the general signal (instrument) + the second component of the general signal (the way the instrument is implemented) + the third component of the general signal (operation / action); instrumental signal Р-D(S) (“as”) = signal 1 (instrument) + signal 2 (method of representation / mechanism for implementing the instrument) + signal 3 (operation / action). This model has two main forms of actualization — “direct” and “reverse”. The “direct” form is relevant for the source subject, the generator of CPP / P-D(S). The source subject begins the operation of functionalizing the program discourse signal by searching for an instrument, and ends this process by performing an action. Makanin in the 1970–1980s, when he became one of the leading prose writers of the 40s. Makanin’s prose is analyzed in terms of the author’s consciousness and artistic forms of its expression, narration and style. Observations on the social psychotypes of a “small” and “average” person, a Don Juan, that have changed in Makanin in new historical дand social conditions, are scientifically productive. The monograph is devoted to the cultural and linguistic heritage of Trans-Onega region of Karelia. The paper presents and analyzes various materials on the unique Trans-Onega region’s dialect and investigates the literary process associated with it. Research and surviving archival materials demonstrate the richness of spiritual culture, the diversity of folklore traditions that existed and still exist, phonetic and morphological features of the Trans-Onega region’s speech. Literary texts in the Trans-Onega region’s dialect are replete with obsolete words and allow you to enjoy a bright original language. We consider the features of the phenomenon of variability in the aphoristic genre of Lezghins. Particular attention is paid to cases of variation and interchange, since variability is one of the main conditions for the existence of folklore works. The purpose of the work is to indicate and designate not only similarities, but also differences in the corpus of proverbial variants, which will allow us to first systematically and typologically describe the variability of the aphoristic genre. The paremiological fund of Lezghins presents traditional versions of proverbs and sayings. One of the main distinguishing features of proverbs, along with tradition, is variability and variability. It is noted that the variability of a number of proverbs can be correlated with the semantics of words and the types of their transformation. It is proved that the variants preserve the compositional-semantic integrity of the verbal unit. To establish structural patterns in specific variants, it is necessary to have a theoretically substantiated idea of the variation processes. It is possible to build a typology of variability only if one has a large corpus of factual material. The material of the study was proverbs and sayings from dictionaries and folklore collections. Considered more 15 000 proverbs were examined, from which the corresponding samples were extracted by the method of continuous sampling. We divided proverbs and sayings into separate groups based on their logical structure. We have analyzed the following forms of proverbial transformation: contamination and rethinking of the informative part, as well as reduction (reduction, truncation) and expansion (strengthening) of the constituent part. Despot-Zenovich (1828–1894) “On measures for rapprochement with Mongolia” (1862) devoted to the analysis of Russian-Mongolian relations are presented. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the concept of decoding rhetoric, aimed at reconstructing the mechanisms of text formation in the light of the category of effectiveness. Decoding rhetoric recognizes the principle of multicompositionality. The basic aspects of the compositional structure of the analytical note are considered which make it possible to identify the idiostyle originality of the text. The formal-pragmatic aspect describes the specifics of the macrostructure of the text which demonstrates the breadth of the problems of the text and sets the strategic text-forming directions – narrative and reflexive-evidential. The argumentative aspect reveals the mechanisms for creating a text by analyzing argumentation complexes representing reasoning. The implementation of the triad “thesis — arguments — conclusion” is traced both in the argumentation of the narrative type and the reflexive-evidential one. The verification of the effectiveness of the text under study is carried out by referring to the text-reaction — the report of the Russian consul in Urga K.N.
