Chinese scientist about V.S. Makanine

Abstract

A review of the monograph “Author’s Consciousness and Forms of Its Expression in V.S. Makanin in the 1970– 1980s.” Gong Qingqing (Zhejiang University). For the first time, a Chinese Slavist studies in depth the works of V.S. Makanin in the 1970–1980s, when he became one of the leading prose writers of the 40s. Makanin’s prose is analyzed in terms of the author’s consciousness and artistic forms of its expression, narration and style. Observations on the social psychotypes of a “small” and “average” person, a Don Juan, that have changed in Makanin in new historical дand social conditions, are scientifically productive. Thus, Gong Qingqing also revealed the realistic and innovative essence of his work.
