The Declaration of the Society reflected the views of both Chinese traditionalists, who defended the principles of Confucian literature, and those progressive writers who advocated the transition to new artistic techniques, which should include elements of realism, in particular, in “problem stories” — a new genre of modern Chinese literature. This genre has not yet become the subject of research by Russian sinologists, although Chinese literary critics have noted its role in the formation of modern Chinese literature. The task of identifying innovations in the genre of “problem prose” is solved by analyzing the stories of Bing Xin and Wang Tongzhao, members of the “Society for the Study of Literature”, who for the first time made the object of their attention the unsightly reality of contemporary Chinese society. The heroes of these works come from different social strata, they suffer to varying degrees when faced with the cruelty of the world around them, and find different ways to resist it. In “problem prose” we see a combination of styles of artistic and journalistic narration, strengthening the role of the author, life authenticity. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the gradual accumulation of new artistic elements in prose further contributed to the strengthening of realistic components in the narratives of Chinese writers.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79343714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The corpus of the study is represented by the text of the novel “The Swing of the Breath” by Herta Müller, who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2009 for it. The metaphor of this text as a set of metaphors, which are the main method of artistic expression in the novel, are characterized by special properties: they are mainly cognitive metaphors, the basis for which is the method of transforming the objective world into a symbolic presentation of abstract concepts. The spread of personifications, replacing communication with people and between people with contacts with inanimate objects, reflects the author’s rejection of totalitarianism as a principle of power that humiliates the human person, which, as a result, refuses to sympathize with one’s neighbor. Non-traditional ways of creating metaphors are shown through the method of word creation, the combination of incompatible elements of the language, giving the effect of vivid poetic expressiveness. Attention is also paid to the linguocultural specifics of G. Muller’s work.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89530507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study solves the question of the type of the main character of the narrative: his singleness or combination, independence or duality, since the critics considers the hero/heroes of Bunin’s story from different angles. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the fact that during the analysis the author of the work offers a justification not only for the pairing of independent heroes, but also expresses a hypothesis about a possible prototype of the central character. Revealing on a number of historical details allows the researcher to assume that this prototype could be Bunin’s nephew N. Pusheshnikov. As shown in the work, the epistolary strategy of narration (the form of writing) allows the artist to differentiate the positions of the heroes and, relying on the fabulous folklore and literature discourse, on the one hand, to debunk the idea of humility and the possibility of existence in Soviet Russia, on the other (as a “dear friend”) — to try to justify the Easter revival intentions of the hero (a Soviet citizen) who was forced to remain in the USSR.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"33 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72552548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chibisova","doi":"10.20339/phs.4-23.025","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20339/phs.4-23.025","url":null,"abstract":"The relevance of the work lies in the fact that although the words гра́вер and гравёр have been actively used in the Russian language for three hundred years, today ortho-epic and explanatory dictionaries contain mutually exclusive evaluations of these words. That is, for three centuries their functioning has not been unambiguously established. There is every reason to believe that the cause for this is the specificity of interlingual contacts (German, English, Russian and French), which set different directions for the functionality and semantics of words. This study is aimed at clarifying the etymology of words, their semantic content and the nature of their use in speech. It is gradually revealed how the use of words is connected with the linguistic and cultural context, how it reflects interlingual contacts and captures the extralinguistic reality associated with the specifics of professional activity, with the predominant influence of one or another language on Russian and with the perception of one or another type of activity by the language community. From the analysis of the etymological, pragmatic and orthoepic characteristics of the units, it was concluded that гра́вер and гравёр are not variants of one word, but different words, approximately at the same time borrowed into Russian from different languages. Initially, these words were in a relationship of free variation, but gradually their meanings and uses were differentiated so much that now we can already talk about the establishment of a spontaneous speech norm. The word гравёр denotes a creative occupation, and the word гра́вер denotes a working profession.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89551554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Campanile “What is love?” (1927). A. Campanile is a little-known Italian writer-comedian in Russia, whose work has not been sufficiently studied in Italian and foreign literary criticism. The novel “What is love?” is not translated into Russian. In Italy, the novel was a great success, even though the comic tradition at that time was not well developed, critics did not take humorous works seriously. The purpose of this work is to comprehend the role and significance of the author’s heritage in the history of Italian and world literature, consider humorous techniques and analyze the comic technique in A. Campanile’s novel “What is love?” The main methodological basis of the study is a combination of historical-literary, historical-cultural, and comparative methods. The materials presented in the article allow us to conclude that the novel “What is love?” does not have the structure of a traditional novel. The main comic techniques include the disruption of the communication process between the characters, absurd characterizations, the technique of shifting and thickening (Z. Freud). The writer’s passion for mixing styles, montage writing technique testifies to Campanile’s predilection for experimental literature. The text is distinguished by the montage technique of the composition. The writer achieves a comic effect not only through paradox, word play, illogicality, but also through the novel’s unconventional form, structure violation, useless inserts and remarks.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72456607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research shows the transformation of the concept and the way how new writers confronted the tradition in the first half of the 20th century. The idea of a patrilineal, hierarchical, patriarchal system, and the family as the basis of the world order were reassessed at the beginning of the 20th century. Participants of the May 4th movement severely criticized the old family system. In the works of “new women” writers Bing Xin and Ding Ling, the new semantic content of the concept “home-family” appears: the image of an ideal home in Bing Xin works transforms into Ding Ling’s fictional home of the childhood memories. The Zhang Ailing’s “home-family” concept presents a structure that is skewed to the one side. There is only one binary opposition (“warm” — “cold”) represented in the texts. All other meanings of the concept are marked negatively. Even if there is a pair of words that have opposite meanings, they complement each other rather than oppose each other. Combined together, the meanings of the “home-family” concept construct a hopeless, terrifying family image, which consists of obsession, illusory, fixation, instability, disappointment, indifference, moral injury, sacrifice, burden, fatigue, crampedness, emptiness, senseless.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"126 3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87708704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the pledge in the Russian language is a morphological and syntactic category. It reflects the opposite both at the level of morphological forms and at the level of syntactic structures. From this position, the definition of collateral values is not scientifically justified only from the point of view of morphological features. The purpose of this article is to establish the differences between short forms of participles on -n/-t, which have a passive meaning, and short forms of participles on -n/-t, which have a static meaning. The materials of this article bring a certain theoretical significance to the category of the pledge of the Russian language.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"30 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84527146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
