This research is quantitative descriptive. The samples were determined based on the purposive sampling technique, namely students who had completed their studies were 85 people. The data techniques used were documentation and interviews. Then the results were analyzed through descriptive statistics and supported by interview results. Leadership is important in an organization, include education. Principal’s leadership most likely influences the success or failure of the schools. A principal has a big responsibility toward his school management as a whole, such as educational program teaching and learning, administration, guiding the staff, using and maintaining school’s infrastructures. Besides, the principal has to optimize his role and educational functions, i.e. leader, motivator, educator, supervisor, administrator, innovator, manager. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. With a phenomological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction methods, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. Testing the validity of the data through the credibility test, namely by using triangulation techniques (source, technique, and time) and member check. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of idealized influence of headmaster in SMA Negeri 1 Barru, Barru Regency, namely the involvement of teachers and staff in the field of meeting administration, giving ideas / opinions, forming a team of vision and mission formulation although not optimal teacher self-development because of the large number of teachers, optimal steps. This type of research is survey research. The total population is 579, and 121 samples are taken. Data collection uses questionnaire and documentation techniques. The data analysis uses descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The result of research show that the implementation educator management and personel education at palnning step, selection, orientation, appointment and placement, observation and assessment, giving compensation and discharge have been done but it is not still maximal, there are still educator and staf education not based on their expert, compensation given is not able to make prosperous for them. Analysis of the data used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Based on the research results obtained positive and significant competence on the performance of high school teachers in Makassar City, while the evaluation of competencies on student achievement has positive and not significant results on the learning achievement of high school students in Makassar City.
