The approach used is a qualitative approach and the type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects in this study were teachers and students of class V UPTD SD Negeri 28 Barru with a total of 14 students consisting of 6 boys and 8 girls. This study consisted of 2 cycles and each cycle consisted of 1 meeting. The data collection techniques used were observation, tests and documentation. Based on the research data in the first cycle the teacher's observations are in category C, the results of student observations are in category C and student learning outcomes show 43% completeness and are in category K. In cycle II the teacher's observations are in category B, the results of student observations are in category B and student learning outcomes show completeness of 79% and are in category B. The type of research used is a literature study research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using documentation and observation studies. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman stages, namely the data reduction stage, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the efforts made by teachers and parents include using learning strategies or methods, providing supporting facilities for learning to read such as learning media, interesting reading books, building simple libraries at home and in classrooms, providing activities remedial for students with reading difficulties, always give a positive response, and provide learning assistance at home by parents. This study analyzes the value of characters in students' books. This study uses a qualitative approach, the data analysis technique is qualitative descriptive of a literary work by looking for the character values contained therein. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, listening and notes. The results of the study showed that the book \"Student Book Theme 8 Where I Live in Class IV Elementary School\" contained 34 character values with reference to 18 character values of the Ministry of National Education, the character values were religious 2.94%, honest 11.76%, tolerance and discipline did not exist. , hard work 17.64%, creativity appears 8.82%, Independent 2.94%, Democratic 8.82%, Curiosity 2.94%, National Spirit 2.94%, Love the homeland and appreciate achievement none . Friendly/Communicative 8.82%, Peaceful Love 2.94%, No Likes to Read, Environmental Care 5.88%, Social Care 11.76% and Responsibility 11.76%. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire. Data analysis technique with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, the results of the research showed that the contribution of parents had an average of 46.11 and a percentage of 76.90% in the good category and the average character of fourth grade students had an average of 48.5 and a percentage of 80.99% in the category very good. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, the tcount value (2.87) is greater (>) the ttable value (1.68385) at a significance level of 5%. Thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This study uses a qualitative research approach with the type of preliminary study research. The subjects of this study were educators and students of class V UPTD SD Negeri 1 Liang Anggang with a total of 16 students. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews with educators and students of class V UPTD SD Negeri 1 Liang Anggang. The data analysis of this research used qualitative descriptive. These findings indicate that in the learning process, students' learning activities are still low, critical thinking skills are not honed, and there is no interesting media. Quasi Experimental Design or quasi-experimental research is carried out without a comparison class or control class. The type of experiment used is One Group Pretest-Posttest. This type of research was measured using a pre-test which was conducted before being given treatment and a post-test which was conducted after being given treatment. The result of this research is that there are significant differences before and after being given treatment. This research is research and development (RnD). The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the development are carried out based on the development steps, namely conducting research and collecting information with preliminary studies in the form interviews and filling out a needs questionnaire, the information obtained is processed and analyzed, planning, developing an initial draft of the product, conducting validation tests with material and media validators, conducting initial field tests in three elementary schools, and revised the results of the trial, at the initial trial stage there was no revision of the teacher's assessment of the media. This type of research is a quantitative research type of Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Negeri Ngijo 01 Gunungpati for the academic year 2021/2022 totaling 25 students who were also the research sample. This sampling technique uses the Non Probability Sampling technique with a saturated sampling form. Based on data analysis, there is a difference between the average pretest and post-test learning outcomes. Based on the calculation obtained = 11.7659. While = 2,016. Because (11.7659) > (2,016) then is rejected. In addition, the pre-test learning outcomes obtained an average of 60.2. While the posttest learning outcomes obtained an average of 82.4. This shows an increase in learning outcomes pretest - posttest.
