One of the ways to estimate a person’s gaming disorder level or status is to use the IGD-20 Test. The purpose of our research is to determine whether or not internet gaming disorder (IGD) has a significant negative impact on academic performance using binary dependent and two-staged least squares models. We obtained data from 390 Indonesian university students, consisting of their academic performance, IGD level, gaming behavior, and several of their economic and demographic characteristics. We found that 5.13 percent of the respondents have IGD. Using both probit and logit models, we also found that GPA has no significant impact on a person’s probability to have IGD. Finally, using a 2SLS model, we discovered that IGD has no considerable effect on GPA. Instead, income and gender are proven to be significant predictors of GPA. Abstrak : Pada tahun 2018, Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia mengategorikan gaming disorder sebagai sebuah penyakit. Salah satu cara menentukan status atau tingkat gangguan ini ialah menggunakan tes IGD-20. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menentukan apakah IGD memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kinerja akademik. Penulis memperoleh data primer dari 390 partisipan mahasiswa terkait hasil studi atau kinerja akademik, tingkat IGD , perilaku bermain game , dan beberapa karakteristik demografik dan ekonomik. Penulis menemukan 5,13 persen partisipan menderita IGD . Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan model probit dan logit, penulis menemukan indeks prestasi kumulatif tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemungkinan memiliki IGD . Sedangkan pengujian menggunakan model two-stage least squares juga menunjukkan bahwa IGD tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif. Participants were students of Department of Educational Psychology and Guidance, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Makassar in the academic years of 2013, 2014, and 2015. They were comprised of 103 students, 77 females and 26 males. The instrument in this study was Academic Resilience Scale (ARS) adopted and modified from Martin and Marsh. Data were analyzed through Mann-Whitney statistical of non-parametric tests in order to measure the academic resilience level of gender difference and Kruskal Wallis to measure academic resilience of cohort difference. Results revealed that there was no difference in academic resilience between female and male students. It was also found that there is a significant difference in academic resilience among the students in the academic years of 2013, 2014 and 2015. Discussion, limitation, and recommendation were also provided in this study. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat resiliensi akademik mahasiswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan tahun angkatan. Partisipan merupakan mahasiswa angkatan 2013, 2014 dan 2015 Jurusan Psikologi Pendidikan dan Bimbingan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Makassar. Jumlah partisipan sebanyak 103 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 77 perempuan dan 26 laki-laki. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Skala Resiliensi Akademik yang diadopsi dan dimodifikasi dari ARS yang dikembangkan oleh Martin & Marsh. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik nonparametrik Mann-Whitney untuk uji beda resiliensi akademik berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan Kruskal Wallis sebagai uji beda pada tingkatan kelas (angkatan). Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan lima prediktor resiliensi akademik, diketahui tidak terdapat perbedaan antara mahasiswa perempuan dan mahasiswa laki-laki. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan terdapat perbedaan resiliensi akademik antara mahasiswa angkatan 2013, 2014 dan 2015. This study aims to test the role of optimism as a mediator for the relationship of resilience with students’ mental health. The subjects were 320 students in four state Islamic colleges in East Java, Indonesia. Data obtained through the mental health scale, resilience scale, and optimism scale. Data were analyzed using regression analysis techniques. The analysis shows that the resilience has direct effects of 1.398 (p bigger than 0.01) and indirect effects of 0.312 (p bigger than 0.01) through optimism on students’ mental health. The implication of this result is the importance of resilience and optimism aspects to be considered in developing students’ mental health. Resilience will be more effective if the individual has a high level of optimism. Thus, to develop students’ mental health, these two abilities needed to be accelerated. Abstrak : Kesehatan mental menjadi suatu kajian yang menarik dan penting sehingga banyak dilakukan oleh berbagai ahli sesuai dengan disiplin keilmuannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran optimisme sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara resiliensi dan kesehatan mental. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 320 mahasiswa yang diambil secara acak dengan mempertimbangkan komposisi jumlah di empat Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri yang ada di Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Data diperoleh melalui skala kesehatan mental, skala resiliensi, dan skala optimisme. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi berpengaruh secara langsung sebesar 1,398 (p lebih besar dari 0,01) dan tidak langsung sebesar 0,312 (p lebih besar dari 0,01) melalui optimisme terhadap kesehatan mental mahasiswa. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah pentingnya aspek resiliensi, dan optimisme untuk diperhatikan dalam upaya pengembangan kesehatan mental mahasiswa. This study employed an experimental study with a pre-test post-test control group. Participants involved were 37 class XI students of the Lab. School Undiksha. To recruit the participants, a purposive sampling technique was used by which the participants were students with low abasement, high aggression, and low endurance. Data were collected using scales that measure the nature of the abasement, aggression, and endurance. To test the hypothesis, the data were analyzed using the t-test. The results showed that: (1) behavioral counseling with assertive training techniques was effective for increasing the nature of abasement, (2) behavioral counseling with shaping techniques was effective to reduce the nature of aggression, and (3) behavioral counseling with self-management techniques was effective for increasing the nature of endurance. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) keefektifan konseling behavioral teknik latihan asertif untuk meningkatkan sifat abasement , (2) keefektifan konseling behavioral dengan teknik shaping untuk mereduksi sifat aggression , dan (3) keefektifan konseling behavioral dengan teknik self - management untuk meningkatkan sifat endurance . Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre-test post-test control group . Sampel atau partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Sekolah Lab. Undiksha yang berjumlah 37 siswa. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penarikan subjek adalah purposive sampling , dalam hal mana siswa yang menjadi anggota sampel adalah siswa yang memiliki sifat abasement rendah, sifat aggression tinggi, dan sifat endurance rendah. Data dikumpulkan dengan skala pengukuran sifat abasement , skala pengukuran sifat aggression , dan skala pengukuran sifat endurance . Untuk menguji hipotesis, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. The process of developing thinking skills is currently done contextually within the implementation of learning materials, while critical thinking skills are also needed in everyday life situations. Developmental counselling services through the Problem Focused-Coping Skill (PFCS) strategy are an alternative to foster critical thinking skills through contextual situations in students’ daily lives. Anchored by a research and development model through preliminary studies, product development, and expert validation, the present study unraveled the theoretical validity of PFCS strategy to enhance students’ critical thinking skills. Participants involved were evaluators of product feasibility, namely counselling experts, learning media experts, and prospective users. Analysis of the assessment employed descriptive statistics and Aiken acceptance analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a need for product development based on literature review and empirical data, (2) the PFCS strategy has been successfully developed in the form of format and content in the developmental service function to build high school students’ critical thinking skills, (3) the assessment of the counselling experts, learning media experts, and users show the validity index in the appropriate and acceptable categories. The theoretical feasibility of the product refers to the conditions, objectives, and processes in the PFCS strategy which accommodates thinking processes in problem solving and information management through students’ critical thinking skills. Abstrak : Keterampilan berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu keterampilan berpikir yang diperlukan siswa untuk menjadi sumber daya manusia yang berkarakter. Proses penumbuhan keterampilan berpikir saat ini banyak dilakukan secara kontekstual dalam implementasi materi pembelajaran, sedangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis turut dibutuhkan dalam situasi kehidupan sehari-hari. Layanan konseling developmental melalui strategi PFCS menjadi alternatif untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui situasi kontekstual dalam kehidupan siswa sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan pada model penelitian dan pengembangan melalui tahap studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk dan validasi ahli. Subyek penelitian merupakan penilai kelayakan produk, yakni ahli konseling, ahli media pembelajaran, dan calon pengguna. Analisis data hasil penilaian menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisa keberterimaan Aiken. Historically, sufism has brought forth arif billâh individuals who have great faith and devotion to Allah, excellent pedagogical competence, as well as social and professional skills. This study aims to construct the meeting point between neo-sufism character and school counselor competence. It was carried out using a qualitative approach with the Hermeneutic analysis from Paul Ricoeur. The data was obtained from documents and interviews. The results reveal the meeting point between neo-sufism character and four counselors competencies. Makrifatullah (depth comprehension of God) character is linear with pedagogical and personality competence. Prioritizing other people (itsar) and noble (futuwwah) character are in line with social competence; meanwhile, creative-productive (intajiyyah) character is in accordance with professional competence. Therefore, neo-sufism character transforms counselors’ competencies to be more significant and meaningful. Abstrak : Neo-sufisme adalah sebuah gerakan sufi baru yang aktif membangun masyarakat. Dalam sejarahnya, sufisme telah melahirkan pribadi arif billâh , yang arif-bijaksana karena Allah, yang atas nama Allah mampu sebagai penyembuh. Sementara itu, salah satu kompetensi kepribadian konselor adalah beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan, di samping kompetensi pedagogik, sosial dan profesional. Tujuan artikel ini adalah mengkonstruksi titik-temu karakter neo-sufisme dengan kompetensi konselor sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, melalui penggunaan analisis hermeneutika dari Paul Ricouer. Data dikumpulkan dari dokumen dan wawancara kasus. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat titik-temu karakter neo-sufisme dengan empat kompetensi konselor. Karakter makrifatullah bertemu dengan kompetensi pedagogik, dan kompetensi kepribadian. Sementara itu, karakter sangat mementingkan orang lain ( itsar ) dan karakter kesatria ( futuwwah ) bertemu dengan kompetensi sosial, karakter kreatif-produktif ( intajiyyah ) bertemu dengan kompetensi profesional. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavior modification to reduce academic procrastination of high school students. To achieve this goal, this study used a single subject design. Three male students and two female students were selected as research participants using a purposive sampling technique. Data on the rate of procrastination in the baseline 1 (A1), intervention (B) and baseline 2 (A2) phases were obtained from the academic procrastination observation sheet. The data were then analyzed using visual graphic analysis with the split middle method. The analysis showed a decrease in academic procrastination behavior in each student after cognitive behavior modification intervention. This proves that the cognitive behavior modification approach is effective in reducing academic procrastination of high school students. Abstrak : Prokrastinasi merupakan permasalahan yang banyak dialami para siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan cognitive behavior modification untuk menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan single subject design . Tiga siswa laki-laki dan dua siswa perempuan dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling . Data tingkat prokrastinasi pada fase baseline 1 (A1), intervensi (B) dan baseline 2 (A2) diperoleh dari lembar observasi prokrastinasi akademik. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual grafik dengan metode split middle . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik pada masing-masing siswa setelah intervensi cognitive behavior modification . This study aimed to explain the problems experienced by children of migrant workers guidance and counseling point of view. A qualitative approach with a case study design was deployed in this study. Four children of migrant workers were recruited as the key informants in this study, while the supporting informants were their grandparents and mothers/fathers who take care of them at home. Data were collected using interview and List of Community Issues (LOCI). Data analysis was performed by reducing, presenting, and verifying data, as well as drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested using data triangulation. Findings suggest that the problems faced by children of migrant workers are health, economic, family, religion and moral problems, personal, social and organizational relationships, occupation, study habits and romance problems. These findings can be used as a basis for developing guidance and counseling programs to facilitate the growth and development of migrant workers’ children. Abstrak : Pekerja migran adalah penghasil devisa, namun juga menimbulkan masalah sosial khususnya pada anak-anak yang ditinggalkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan permasalahan yang dialami anak pekerja migran secara komprehensif dari sudut pandang bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Empat anak pekerja migran merupakan informan kunci dalam penelitian ini, sedangkan informan pendukungnya adalah kakek-nenek, ibu/ayah yang mengasuh mereka di rumah. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara dan List of Community Issues ( LOCI ). Analisis data dilakukan dengan mereduksi, menyajikan, memverifikasi data, dan mengambil kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji triangulasi data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan yang dihadapi anak pekerja migran adalah masalah kesehatan, ekonomi, keluarga, agama dan moral, pribadi, hubungan sosial dan berorganisasi, jabatan, kebiasaan belajar serta permasalahan asmara. This research is quantitative descriptive research, in the form of a percentage, involving 236 students as the participants. The sample was chosen using cluster random sampling technique. For the instrument, this research used a questionnaire of students’ career choice tendency in the industry 4.0 era. The obtained data were analyzed using percentage descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that 93% of senior high school students in Malang city tend to choose a career in the business and repair services sector, then followed by 89% of students who select the trading and government administration sector. This study can be fundamental and primary data for school counselors in providing guidance and counseling services in the career field, such as career information services. This service belongs to one of the students’ consideration to carefully plan their career to achieve a bright future. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kecenderungan pilihan karier siswa sekolah menengah atas negeri pada era revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dalam bentuk persentase yang menggunakan sampel, dan melibatkan 236 siswa. Metode pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling . Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner kecenderungan pilihan karier siswa di era revolusi industri 4.0. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif persentase. Temuan menunjukkan siswa sekolah menengah atas negeri se-Kota Malang di era revolusi industri 4.0 memiliki kecenderungan pilihan karier pada sektor layanan bisnis dan perbaikan dengan persentase 93% yang diikuti oleh sektor perdagangan dan pemerintahan yang masing-masing mendapatkan persentase 89%. The research sample of 140 people obtained by accidental sampling. The instruments used were Career-Related Parent Support Scale, Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form, and Proactive Personality Scale which had been adapted into Indonesian. The data were analyzed by regression using PROCESS macros suggested by Hayes. The results showed that proactive personality partially mediates the relationship between parental support in career and self-efficacy in career decision making. Further analysis shows that: (1) proactive personality partially mediates the relationship between parental support in the form of instrumental assistance and self-efficacy in career decision making; (2) proactive personality partially mediates the relationship between parental support in the form of career modeling and self-efficacy in career decision making; (3) proactive personality partially mediates the relationship between parental support in the form of emotional support with self-efficacy in career decision making; and; (4) proactive personality fully mediates the relationship between parental support in the form of verbal encouragement with self-efficacy in career decision making. The implications, limitations and suggestions for further research are discussed as follows. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran kepribadian proaktif sebagai mediator hubungan antara dukungan orangtua dalam karier dan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 140 orang yang diperoleh dengan accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Career-Related Parent Support Scale, Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form , dan Proactive Personality Scale yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Data dianalisis dengan uji regresi menggunakan macro PROCESS oleh Hayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian proaktif memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara dukungan orangtua dalam karier dan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Analisis lanjutan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kepribadian proaktif memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara dukungan orangtua yang berupa bantuan instrumental dan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier; (2) kepribadian proaktif memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara dukungan orangtua yang berupa pemodelan karier dan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier; (3) kepribadian proaktif memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara dukungan orangtua yang berupa dukungan emosional dengan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier; dan (4) kepribadian proaktif memediasi secara utuh hubungan antara dukungan orangtua yang berupa dorongan verbal dengan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier.
