This study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory, descriptive design. Research data were collected through open questionnaires and focus group discussions. The data sources were fifteen guidance and counseling students from three different classes. Data analysis was carried out by searching for themes and determining the correlation between them to attain interpretation. The results of the study show that professional identity is conceptualized as a typical characteristic or a symbol of professional conduct in the profession of guidance and counseling. Meanwhile, the dimensions of professional identity according to students are categorized into professional competence, personality, personal appearance, knowledge of the profession, and professional ethos. Lastly, for the student, professional identity is something that moves dynamically.\u0000Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi calon konselor terhadap konsep identitas profesional dalam bidang bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif eksploratif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terbuka dan diskusi kelompok terfokus. Sumber datanya adalah lima belas mahasiswa bimbingan dan konseling dari angkatan yang berbeda. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi topik dan menentukan keterkaitan untuk mencapai interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa identitas profesional dikonseptualisasikan sebagai ciri khas atau simbol perilaku profesional dalam profesi bimbingan dan konseling. Sedangkan dimensi identitas profesional menurut mahasiswa dikategorikan terdiri dari kompetensi profesional, kepribadian, penampilan pribadi, pengetahuan profesi, dan etos kerja profesional. This study used a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The sixteen participants from State Junior High School 3 Comal, Indonesia, were selected through nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. The participants were divided into experiment and control groups. For the research instruments, this study used The Self-Disclosure Questionnaire developed by Jourard to measure students’ self-disclosure. The obtained data were analyzed using the repeated measures ANOVA test. Our analysis results showed that solution-focused brief counseling and motivational interviewing were effective in improving students’ self-disclosure. Therefore, the school counselor can implement both solution-focused brief counseling and motivational interviewing to enhance their students’ internal potential and self-disclosure. Future studies are suggested to widen the research participants and analyze the effects of gender and age differences on the effectiveness of solution-focused brief counseling and motivational interviewing in improving students’ self-disclosure.\u0000Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan solution-focused brief counseling dan motivational interviewing untuk meningkatkan self-disclosure peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain randomized pretest posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan sampling purposive. Sampel yang dilibatkan sebanyak enam belas peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 3 Comal, Indonesia yang dibagi sama rata pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur self-disclosure adalah The Self-Disclosure Questionnaire yang dikembangkan oleh Jourard. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji repeated measures ANOVA. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa solution-focused brief counseling dan motivational interviewing efektif untuk meningkatkan self-disclosure peserta didik. Berdasarkan penelitian, konselor sekolah dapat mengaplikasikan solution-focused brief counseling dan motivational interviewing untuk meningkatkan potensi internal dan self-disclosure peserta didik. This study aims to investigate the effects of smartphone addiction on students’ communication with their families, their learning, as well as guidance and counseling processes. The causal correlational design was applied, involving 103 participants selected total samplings of eighth-graders junior high school students. The data was garnered through the smartphone addiction scale and family communication scale. Both of those scales had item validity of 0.3, with Alpha Cronbach reliability of 0.937 and 0.850, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed using regression. The analysis results suggest that smartphone addiction significantly decreased the quality of students’ communication with their families, by -0,416. This result can be fundamental for school counselors and the subject teachers in formulating and implementing the learning process, to reduce the effects of smartphone addiction, enhance their communication skills, and improve the learning efficiency through the use of the smartphone as learning media, instead of restraining the smartphone use.\u0000Abstrak: Dewasa ini, gejala kecanduan smartphone semakin meluas pada siswa remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi kecanduan smartphone terhadap kualitas komunikasi siswa dalam keluarga, dan membahas implikasinya bagi pembelajaran, serta bimbingan dan konseling. Rancangan kausal korelasional digunakan pada 103 responden siswa kelas delapan yang menggunakan smartphone lebih dari 5 jam sehari, yang dipilih secara total sampling di sekolah menengah pertama. Data dikumpulkan dengan skala kecanduan smartphone dan skala komunikasi dalam keluarga yang telah diuji, keduanya memiliki validitas butir lebih dari sama dengan 0,3, reliabilitas Alpha Cronbach 0,937 dan 0,850. Data dianalisis regresi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan smartphone berkontribusi signifikan menurunkan kualitas komunikasi siswa dalam keluarga sebesar -0,416. To be able to give voluntary help based on empathy, one must have internet altruistic abilities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of single-session counseling with expressive art integration to improve students’ altruistic behavior on the internet. This study used a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The intervention in the experimental group used a single session counseling strategy that was integrated with expressive art. The control group was given an intervention in the form of individual counseling without using a single session counseling approach. Research subjects were selected using random assignment to the experimental group or the control group according to the established criteria. The data was collected by giving the Internet Altruistic Behavior Scale (IABS) psychological scale which was adapted according to scientific rules with a reliability of 0.92. The data analysis used was mixed ANOVA repeated measure. The results showed that single session counseling with expressive art integration was effective in increasing students’ altruistic behavior on the internet. Further research is recommended to expand the scope of research subjects, and be able to analyze gender and age differences between research subjects.\u0000Abstrak: Internet merupakan salah satu sarana untuk memperoleh informasi, berinteraksi, bahkan memberikan pertolongan kepada orang lain. Untuk dapat memberi pertolongan secara sukarela berdasar empati, seseorang harus memiliki kemampuan altruistik internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan konseling sesi tunggal dengan integrasi expressive art guna meningkatkan perilaku altruistik siswa di internet. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Intervensi pada kelompok eksperimen menggunakan strategi single session counseling yang diintegrasikan dengan expressive art. Kelompok kontrol diberi intervensi berupa konseling individu tanpa menggunakan pendekatan single session counseling. Subjek penelitian dipilih menggunakan random assignment ke kelompok eksperimen atau kelompok kontrol sesuai kriteria yang ditetapkan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara memberikan skala psikologis Internet Altruistic Behavior Scale (IABS) yang diadaptasi sesuai kaidah ilmiah dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0.92. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah mixed ANOVA repeated measure. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa single session counseling dengan integrasi expressive art efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku altruistik siswa di internet. The development method uses the Syaiffudin Azwar instrument development model with 8 stages, namely the identification of measuring objectives; measuring domain restrictions; operationalization of aspects; writing and reviewing items; language test; field tests; item selection and; final compilation. The field test was carried out on 306 junior high school students in the Godean area, Yogyakarta. The results of the CFA test show that all instrument items that make up the 8 career groups obtained fit results based on the p-value indicators of 0.257, RMSEA 0.15, GFI 0.87, AGFI 0.86, and CFI 1.00. CFASO test results obtained p-value 0.257 greater than 0.05 and RMSEA value 0.015 less than 0.05. In addition, the results of multidimensional reliability testing showed a score of 0.87 greater than 0.70. These findings indicate a valid and reliable instrument to help explore the careers of junior high school students.\u0000Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen eksplorasi karier berdasarkan klasifikasi Anne Roe guna membantu siswa sekolah menengah pertama mengeksplorasi pilihan kariernya. Metode pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan instrumen Syaiffudin Azwar dengan delapan tahapan yakni: identifikasi tujuan ukur; pembatasan domain ukur; operasionalisasi aspek; penulisan dan review butir; uji coba bahasa; field test; seleksi butir; dan kompilasi final. Field test dilaksanakan terhadap 306 siswa sekolah menengah pertama di wilayah Godean, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Hasil pengujian CFA menunjukkan seluruh butir instrumen yang membentuk delapan kelompok karier memperoleh hasil fit berdasarkan indikator p-value 0.257, RMSEA 0.15, GFI 0.87, AGFI 0.86, dan CFI 1.00. Pengujian CFASO menunjukkan p-value 0.257 lebih besar dari 0.05 dan nilai RMSEA 0.015 kurang dari 0.05. Selain itu, hasil pengujian reliabilitas multidimensional menunjukkan skor 0.87 lebih besar dari 0.70. Setiyowati","doi":"10.17977/um001v7i22022p44-51","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17977/um001v7i22022p44-51","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract: This research and development aims to develop a product called Siap Antisipasi (SIANTI) to improve assertive behavior in preventing physical sexual harassment in junior high school students by meeting product acceptance. SIANTI’s products include three educational videos with a video duration of three minutes each and a guidebook for school counselors in providing classical guidance services. The research method by adapting Borg and Gall model. This research and development procedure includes preliminary studies, product design and development as well as product testing of material experts, media experts and users. The research and development subjects consisted of one material expert, one media expert and two users. Assessment of expert and users to determine product acceptance uses a rating scale based on aspects of accuracy, usability, convenience and product attractiveness. The research instrument uses an expert and prospective user assessment format. The results of the expert test were analyzed using the numerical average, the results of the users were tested using the inter-rater agreement. The overall test results show that the SIANTI product gets a very high rating category and meets product acceptance so that it can be implemented as a medium for school counselors in providing classical guidance services to improve students’ assertive behavior to prevent physical sexual harassment.\u0000Abstrak: PPenelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Siap Antisipasi (SIANTI) untuk meningkatkan perilaku asertif dalam mencegah physical sexual harassment pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama dengan memenuhi keberterimaan produk. Produk SIANTI meliputi tiga video edukasi dengan durasi masing-masing video tiga menit dan buku panduan untuk konselor sekolah dalam memberikan layanan bimbingan klasikal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan model Borg dan Gall yang telah diadaptasi. Prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan ini meliputi studi pendahuluan, rancangan dan pengembangan produk serta uji produk terhadap ahli materi, ahli media dan calon pengguna. Subjek penelitian dan pengembangan terdiri dari satu ahli materi, satu ahli media dan dua calon pengguna. Penilaian uji ahli dan calon pengguna untuk mengetahui keberterimaan produk menggunakan skala penilaian yang berdasarkan pada aspek ketepatan, kegunaan, kemudahan dan kemenarikan produk. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan format penilaian ahli dan calon pengguna. Hasil uji ahli dianalisis menggunakan numerik rerata, hasil uji calon pengguna diuji menggunakan inter-rater agreement. Participants are students from various faculties and postgraduate programs from diploma, undergraduate, professional education, masters and doctoral education levels in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The instrument used is the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale which has been adapted by Engger with a content validity value of CVR equal to 1 which is in the good category and reliability is 0.935 in the good category. The data analysis used was Mann-Whitney non-parametric statistics for the different test of psychological well-being based on sex, and Kruskal Wallis as a different test for the level of education being pursued. The results showed that there was no significant difference based on gender, while based on the level of education on psychological well-being there were differences. The results of this study can be taken into account in the development of guidance and counseling programs and services for college students.\u0000Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kesejahteraan psikologis berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan jenjang pendidikan yang sedang ditempuh pada saat Pandemi Covid-19. Partisipan merupakan mahasiswa dari berbagai Fakultas dan Program Pascasarjana dari jenjang pendidikan diploma, sarjana, pendidikan profesi, magister dan doktor di Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale yang telah diadaptasi oleh Engger dengan nilai validitas konten CVR sama dengan 1 yang berkategori baik dan reliabilitas 0,935 dengan kategori baik. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik non-parametrik Mann-Whitney untuk uji beda kesejahteraan psikologis berdasarkan jenis kelamin, dan Kruskal Wallis sebagai uji beda pada jenjang pendidikan yang sedang ditempuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan berdasarkan jenis kelamin, sedangkan berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan pada kesejahteraan psikologis terdapat perbedaan. This study aimed to investigate the influence of cyber relational addiction on interpersonal relationships and how variables of age, religion, levels of study, and gender of respondents moderate the influence of cyber relational addiction on their interpersonal relationships. This study employed a descriptive survey research design and administered a self-designed questionnaire on 420 randomly selected undergraduates from seven faculties at the University of Ilorin. A research question was answered in this study, while the hypotheses were also tested at 0.05 levels of significance. The varying collected data were analyzed using t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistical methods. Undergraduate students’ sources of information were mostly from the Internet than interacting with people, and they believed gaining more academically online than interacting with people. Meanwhile, the results were not varied based on the respondents’ age, levels of study, religion, and gender. It is necessary to develop a sound and wide range of activities that will reduce cyber relation addiction, which in turn promote psychological wellbeing among undergraduates. Interpersonal relationship skills training should be conducted for cyber-addicted adolescents to observe its impacts on cyber relational addiction.\u0000Abstrak: Meningkatnya penggunaan ruang siber dalam beberapa tahun terakhir mengakibatkan tingginya penggunaan patologis ruang siber, terutama pada area kecanduan untuk berinteraksi melalui ruang siber. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dampak dari kecanduan untuk berhubungan melalui ruang siber terhadap hubungan interpersonal, serta bagaimana variable usia, agama, tingkat pendidikan, dan jenis kelamin memoderasi hubungan kecanduan ruang siber dan hubungan interpersonal. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survei deskriptif dan kuesioner yang dirancang sendiri lalu disebarkan kepada 420 mahasiswa sarjana dari tujuh fakultas dari University of Ilorin, secara acak. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menjawab sebuah rumusan masalah yang telah diuji pada 0.05 tingkat signifikansi. Data-data yang telah terkumpul diuji menggunakan beberapa uji statistik berupa Uji t dan Analisis of Variance (ANOVA). Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kebanyakan mahasiswa mencari informasi melalui interaksi pada ruang siber. Sedangkan hasil dari analisis pada variabel usia, tingkat pendidikan, agama, dan jenis kelamin menunjukkan hasil yang sama. Sehingga kita perlu mengembangkan berbagai kegiatan untuk mengurangi kecanduan berinteraksi menggunakan ruang siber, yang nantinya akan meningkatkan kondisi psikologis para mahasiswa. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey and correlational design. The research population is 620 Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Singkawang (STKIP) Singkawang college students. The sample is taken using a simple random sampling technique as many as 352 college students (76 male and 276 female). The instrument used in data collection is the academic procrastination scale and great point academic. The data are analyzed using descriptive analysis, ANOVA, and correlation. The findings show that college students’ academic procrastination is at a moderate level which is dominated by time management skill indicators. Male students and students who are in the middle years have higher levels of academic procrastination. Intercorrelation shows a significant but negative relationship between academic procrastination and academic achievement.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan tingkat prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa, menganalisis perbedaan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa, dan menganalisis hubungan antara prokrastinasi akademik dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei dan korelasi. Populasi penelitian adalah 620 mahasiswa STKIP Singkawang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling sebanyak 352 mahasiswa (76 laki-laki dan 276 perempuan). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah skala prokrastinasi akademik dan indeks prestasi akademik. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, ANOVA, dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa berada pada tingkat sedang yang didominasi oleh indikator keterampilan mengatur waktu. Mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa yang berada di tahun pertengahan memiliki tingkat prokrastinasi akademik yang lebih tinggi. Counseling services require school counselors to empower students who have different cultural backgrounds from theirs. The Multicultural School Counseling Behavior Scale (MSCBS) is a scale to measure the school counselors’ multicultural competence represented by their attitudes and behavior in implementing guidance and counseling services in schools. This study aims to adapt the MSCBS into Indonesian, considering the limited multicultural competency measuring tool for school counselors that includes the attitudes and behavior of school counselors in counseling. The research subjects were 257 junior and senior high school counselors. The scale test was carried out through a readability test involving small groups and a quantitative test using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to examine the validity of the scale and generate a fit model showing a satisfactory construct validity and acceptable indices of the goodness of fit. The Alpha Cronbach test was conducted to examine scale reliability. The test results show great reliability. The results show that the Indonesian version of MSCBS with 29 items can be employed for guidance and counseling research purposes.Abstrak: Layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah menuntut konselor sekolah untuk memberdayakan siswa yang memiliki perbedaan latar belakang budaya dengan konselor. The Multicultural School Counseling Behavior Scale (MSCBS) merupakan alat ukur untuk mengukur kompetensi multikultural konselor sekolah yang direpresentasikan dengan sikap serta perilaku konselor sekolah pada pelaksanaan program layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadaptasi alat ukur MSCBS ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Responden penelitian sebanyak 257 konselor sekolah menengah pertama dan sekolah menengah atas. Uji alat ukur dilakukan melalui uji keterbacaan dengan melibatkan kelompok kecil. Uji kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) untuk menguji validitas skala dan menghasilkan model fit yang menunjukkan validitas konstruk yang memuaskan dan indeks goodness of fit yang dapat diterima. Uji Alpha Cronbach dilakukan untuk melihat reliabilitas skala, hasil menunjukkan reliabilitas yang baik.
