This study uses a quantitative approach, with the type of ex-post facto research and ordinal regression analysis. The data were collected using the Self-Compassion Scale (SWD) with alternative answers from one to five of scale. The sample in this study was students at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Our analysis results showed no significant effect of gender on the students’ level of self-compassion and no significant effect of students’ level of self-compassion on their academic achievement.\u0000Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gender terhadap tingkat welas diri mahasiswa, dan mengetahui pengaruh tingkat welas diri terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian ex-post facto dan menggunakan analisis regresi ordinal. Instrumen pengumpul data menggunakan Skala Welas Diri (SWD) dengan alternatif jawaban dari skala satu sampai skala lima. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Okesina","doi":"10.17977/um001v8i12023p1-13","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17977/um001v8i12023p1-13","url":null,"abstract":"The study investigated the need for career guidance in the Almajiri school system as perceived by teachers in Kebbi State, Nigeria.  The population consisted of all teachers within the state.  The researchers purposively selected six large schools in Brinin Kebbi which is the state capital, and another six large secondary schools in Argungu. Fifty teachers were picked in each of the schools using simple random sampling technique. Thus, a total of six hundred respondents partook in this study. Need for Career Guidance in Almajiri schools (NCGASQ) was the instrument used in this study. The questionnaire was the major instrument used to gather data from the respondents. This instrument was divided into two sections.  Section A contains respondents’ demographic data, similarly, Section B comprises information that elicits responses on the need for career guidance among the Amanjiri in Kebbi State. The findings showed that the perception of the respondents based on gender and educational level were the same. However, respondents’ career perceptions differed according to age and religion. The anxiety concerning their future career emerges as a new and deteriorating issue for fresh graduates. On the other hand, self-efficacy serves as a crucial element in facing a shift in the situation. The self-efficacy being adopted in overcoming career anxiety is known as career self-efficacy. Therefore, this study aims to identify the correlation between career self-efficacy and future career anxiety in Indonesian fresh graduate. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational study approach. For the research sample, the final-year students participated in this study and were selected using random sampling. The data were collected through Career Self-Efficacy and Future Career Anxiety instruments and analyzed using data product moment analysis. Our results suggested a negative correlation between career self-efficacy and future career anxiety. Therefore, someone with higher self-efficacy presents a low rate of future career anxiety.\u0000Abstrak:Kondisi tidak menentu terkait lapangan pekerjaan menjadi salah satu hal yang berdampak pada pencari kerja sebagai akibat pandemi COVID-19. Kecemasan terhadap karier di masa depan tampaknya menjadi masalah baru dan semakin memburuk pada fresh graduate. Di sisi lain, self-efficacy merupakan hal penting dalam menghadapi perubahan, termasuk kecemasan karier, dalam hal ini disebut dengan career self-efficacy. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara career self-efficacy dengan future career anxiety pada fresh graduate di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan studi korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir dengan teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah career self-efficacy dan future career anxiety dan menggunakan teknik analisis data product moment. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara career self-efficacy dengan future career anxiety. Consequently, students present less participation in online learning. One of the stakeholders capable of improving students’ learning engagement is the school counselor. This study aims to examine secondary school students’ learning involved in the guidance and counseling online program. In this study, we employed a descriptive-quantitative research method, then collected data using a survey method and questionnaire. As many as 293 secondary school students from Java, Indonesia, participated in this study. Further, the obtained data were analyzed using SmartPLS 3. Our analysis results suggested the presence of positive and significant effects of (1) family support on students’ learning engagement; (2) information self-efficacy and communication technology on students’ learning engagement;  (3) ICT self-efficacy to students’ interaction with the learning material; (4) school support to students learning engagement; (5) students learning motivation to their learning engagement; (6) students interaction with learning material to their learning engagement; and (7) teachers’ performance to students interaction with the learning material. Meanwhile, teachers’ performance during online learning was observed to have no significant and positive impact on students’ learning engagement.\u0000Abstrak: Perubahan bentuk belajar menjadi online selama pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan shock culture bagi siswa, guru dan orang tua. Dalam pelaksanaan proses belajar secara online, keterlibatan siswa masih kurang, dan perlu dioptimalkan. Salah satu pihak yang dapat memberikan bantuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah konselor sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterlibatan siswa selama pembelajaran online oleh konselor sekolah. Ruang lingkup penelitian adalah siswa sekolah menengah. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kuantitatif dengan survei. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 293 siswa di Pulau Jawa, Indonesia. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan SmartPLS 3. This study aims to present the concept of basic human philosophy in the teachings of Ki Ageng Suryomentaram. The research method uses Gadamerian hermeneutics in a qualitative approach. The collected data is then analyzed using Parts and Whole analysis and then checked the validity of the data through the stages of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study describe human philosophy based on basic needs, essence, existence, and the structure of the human personality. The conclusion of the research refers to the basic human philosophy based on local wisdom for the science of guidance and counseling.\u0000Abstrak: Bangsa Indonesia sebagai bangsa besar yang terdiri dari berbagai macam agama, suku dan budaya, tentunya layak jika memiliki cita-cita memiliki paradigma filsafat dasar manusia berbasis budaya khas Indonesia dengan berlandasakan dialog antara ilmu-ilmu jiwa yang hidup dalam kognisi manusia Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyajikan konsep filsafat dasar manusia dalam ajaran Ki Ageng Suryomentaram. Metode penelitian menggunakan hermeneutika Gadamerian dalam pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis Parts and Whole dan selanjutnya dicek keabsahan datanya melalui tahapan kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas dan konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian menjabarkan filsafat manusia berdasarkan kebutuhan dasar, esensi, eksistensi, dan struktur kepribadian manusia. The research method uses an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used is a critical-analytical thinking scale. The research sample used a purposive sampling technique, which consisted of 84 students of the 2018 Guidance and Counseling UNY Study Program who took the Humanistic Counseling course. The samples were separated into experimental and control groups of 42 students. The pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test using SPSS Amos 25 software. The results show that the use of real-life problems in the Humanistic Counseling course was proven effective in improving students' critical-analytical thinking as novice counsellors. As a result, students are more stimulated to practice analyzing cases in various ways and can activate their cognitive complexity processes as novice counsellors. \u0000Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan masalah hidup riil untuk meningkatkan pemikiran kritis-analitis calon konselor pada mata kuliah konseling humanistik. Metode penelitian yang digunakna ialah eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah skala berpikir kritis-analitis. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yakni terdiri dari 84 mahasiswa angkatan 2018 porgram studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta yang menempuh mata kuliah Konseling Humanistik. Sampel dipisah pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 42 mahasiswa. Data pre-test dan post-test dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan menggunakan software SPSS Amos 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penggunaan masalah hidup riil pada mata kuliah konseling humanistik terbukti efektif meningkatkan pemikiran kritis-analitis mahasiswa calon konselor. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the relationship between psychological well-being and student academic burnout. The research design used is correlation, with a research sample of 180 students. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. Collecting data using psychological well-being scale and academic burnout scale. The data analysis technique used is Pearson's product moment. The results showed that psychological well-being has a negative relationship with academic burnout. This means that the higher the psychological well-being of students, the lower their academic burnout. These findings can be used as a basis for universities to provide mental health services needed by students and lecturers needed to assist students in providing guidance and counseling services.\u0000Abstrak: Kesejahteraan psikologis merupakan salah satu aspek penting bagi mahasiswa yang perlu diperhatikan ketika mereka menghadapi situasi yang kurang menguntungkan, salah satunya kejenuhan akademik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan kejenuhan akademik mahasiswa. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan korelasi, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 180 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kesejahteraan psikologis dan skala kejenuhan akademik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesejahteraan psikologis memiliki hubungan negatif dengan kejenuhan akademik. Artinya semakin tinggi kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa, maka semakin rendah kejenuhan akademiknya. This research used a qualitative approach with Triple Hermeneutic Analysis method. The data collection technique are Interview and literature studies as well as data validation which is achieved through data triangulation. The subjects of this study were four people, two people from public figure (culturalists) and two people from students (Bugis youth). The results showed that Tudang Sipulung is the ancestral heritage of the Sidrap’s Bugis Society which contains positive values in the deliberation to reach consensus. In the practice of guidance and counseling, Tudang Sipulung can be constructed and implemented as group guidance in the perspective of the KIPAS counseling model in serving the counselee or Bugis Youth. The cultural values of Tudang Sipulung that can be integrated with the KIPAS model counseling include the counselor’s self-positioning, discussion themes, attitude, and positive thinking techniques, as well as the special technique of KIPAS is KaDo-MUDAH, and up to the steps of the KIPAS Counseling model\u0000Abstrak: Kajian ini berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi Tudang Sipulung sebagai sarana bimbingan kelompok dalam kerangka acuan konseling model KIPAS (Konseling Intensif dan Progresif yang Adaptif terhadap Struktur) terhadap Remaja Bugis sekolah menengah atas di Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian AHB (analisis hermeneutika bersusun). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan studi kepustakaan, serta pengabsahan data ditempuh melalui triangulasi data. Pada penelitian ini, subjek berjumlah 4 orang, 2 orang dari kalangan tokoh masyarakat (budayawan) dan 2 orang dari kalangan siswa (remaja Bugis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tudang Sipulung merupakan warisan tradisi leluhur masyarakat Bugis Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) yang mengandung nilai-nilai positif dalam bentuk wahana kelompok ketika hendak membicarakan suatu hal yang perlu untuk disepakati secara bersama-sama. Pada praksis bimbingan dan konseling, Tudang Sipulung dapat dikonstruksi dan diimplementasikan sebagai strategi bimbingan kelompok dalam perspektif konseling model KIPAS dalam melayani konseli atau remaja yang berlatar suku Bugis. The studies also denote the increase of confidence by strengthening self-efficacy. This study explores previous studies that uncover the use of CBT in dealing with public anxiety to identify its potential as part of multicultural counseling for international students in higher education. International students have different academic and learning cultures, as well as social environments, affecting the development of certain anxiety in dealing with pressures to adapt to new environments. Therefore, it positions the investigation of CBT’s ability to reduce public speaking anxiety for international students as highly essential. This study contends that CBT is a useful technique to unpack irrational fear of speaking in public and promote self-efficacy, developing confidence and leading to good mental health. However, given the nature of targeted intervention are international students, multicultural counseling competencies are undoubtedly required for the therapy.\u0000Abstrak: Beberapa penelitian telah menyoroti pentingnya Terapi Perilaku Kognitif (CBT) dalam mengurangi kecemasan berbicara di depan umum. Studi ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kepercayaan diri dengan memperkuat efikasi diri. Studi ini juga mengeksplorasi studi sebelumnya yang mengungkap penggunaan CBT dalam menangani kecemasan publik untuk mengidentifikasi potensinya sebagai bagian dari konseling multikultural untuk mahasiswa internasional di pendidikan tinggi. Mahasiswa internasional memiliki budaya akademik, pembelajaran, dan lingkungan sosial yang berbeda, yang semuanya memengaruhi perkembangan kecemasan tertentu dalam menghadapi tekanan untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru. Oleh karena itu, penelitian tentang CBT untuk mengurangi kecemasan berbicara di depan umum bagi mahasiswa internasional sangat penting. These programs continue to evolve, especially the classical guidance programs that require adaptation to the current Covid-19 pandemic education system. However, due to a lack of planning, the development and implementation of the classical guidance program in state junior high schools during the Covid-19 pandemic have not been optimal. Thus, this study identifies the performance of the classical guidance program at state junior high schools during the Covid-19 pandemic, using predetermined standards. This study used program evaluation standards and criteria from the Guidelines for Performance-Based Professional School Counselor Evaluation. The guidelines highlight that professional school counselors should carry out classical guidance services using effective learning strategies and classroom management techniques for all counselees based on their needs. These standards and criteria were then formulated into three components to determine the success of the classical guidance program, namely planning, implementing, and evaluating the classical guidance program. The analysis of the evaluation results showed that the classical guidance program during the Covid-19 had not met the standard.\u0000Abstrak: Program bimbingan dan konseling dirancang untuk meningkatkan pendidikan. Program bimbingan dan konseling terus berkembang, terutama program bimbingan klasikal yang membutuhkan adaptasi dengan sistem pendidikan pada pandemi Covid-19. Meskipun demikian, perencanaan, pengembangan dan pelaksanaan program bimbingan klasikal di sekolah menengah pertama selama pandemi Covid-19 belum berjalan dengan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kinerja program bimbingan klasikal di sekolah menengah pertama negeri selama pandemi Covid-19 menggunakan standar yang telah ditentukan. Standar dan kriteria evaluasi program yang digunakan adalah Guidelines Performance-Based Professional School Counselor Evaluation. Pedoman tersebut menyoroti bahwa konselor sekolah profesional harus melaksanakan layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dan teknik pengelolaan kelas untuk semua konseli berdasarkan kebutuhannya. Standar dan kriteria ini kemudian dirumuskan menjadi tiga komponen untuk menentukan keberhasilan program bimbingan klasikal, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program bimbingan klasikal.
