We focus on the emotional level, the level of practicality, and the level of trust felt by every individual regarding online shopping, which relates towards the frequency of online shopping and the total amount spent on online shopping. The technique of data collection is done via a questionnaire that can be filled online. This research found that women are online shopping more than men, but regarding total spending, men spend more than women. Level of trust becomes the biggest factor for men in deciding how often they do online shopping and how much money they spend. Men’s risk aversion influences their activities in online shopping, while women’s risk aversion has no significant effects.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122252771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the study examines the effects of trends in industry (financial industry or other industries) and the degree of ownership concentration on compliance with the POJK, as intended, in the annual reports of companies. An event study test reveals that the POJK’s announcement has not been responded to by the market. The public had been aware of the regulation in the context of corporate governance for certain particular industries, in addition to other specific regulations, prior to it being issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Furthermore, the results of the analysis revealed a higher trend for compliance with the POJK for the financial industry. This is indicative of more accountable and transparent management within the financial industry. In relation to ownership concentration, firms with high ownership concentrations have tended not to contravene the POJK with respect to the inclusion in their annual reports of the implementation of corporate governance guidance, since these regulations are mandatory for all public firms.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121439411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research data used in this research are stock listed in suspension and unsuspension announcement from January 2016 to December 2017. The trading pattern investigated in this research is related to the behavioral finance theory which divides the status of the investor: domestic and foreign investor. To examine investor behavior, the authors used Net Investment Flow calculation, then analyzed it using Pearson Correlation and Vector Auto Regression (VAR). Meanwhile, to calculate trading performance, the authors used cumulative return calculation. By using the daily transaction data of domestic and foreign investor, this study proved that herding behavior is stronger in foreign investors than domestic investors in both suspension periods. The investment performance of foreign investors is better than domestic investors. Domestic investors have the information-based model as an investing pattern, while foreign investors have the value-investing model before suspension and information-based model after suspension.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116892474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study employs descriptive analysis through a literature review, content analysis, observation and interviews. The object of the research is PT. XYZ, companies engaged in the plantation and palm oil industry in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. The feasibility criteria for the projected palm oil plantation and construction of processing plant by PT. XYZ are based on the payback period/discounted payback period, net present value, profitability index and internal rate of return. Project for new palm oil plantation are feasible depending on three conditions : base, optimistic and pessimistic conditions, in which the Net Present Value (NPV) is positive. Processing plant construction project are feasible in base and optimistic conditions, but are rejected in pessimistic conditions. Based on the results of the sensitivity analysis, it can be seen that the factor which has the greatest effect on the net present value of new palm oil plantation is the selling value of FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch). The factors that have the greatest effect on the net present value of palm oil processing plant construction are the selling points of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) and PKO (Palm Kernel Oil).","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124329775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Peer-topeer accommodation (P2P) creates an online marketplace where peer providers and consumers meet each other’s needs and can exchange roles. Without ownership of assets, P2P accommodation becomes a strong competitor of hotels. This phenomenon creates opportunities for Indonesia in improving competitiveness among other ASEAN countries. This preliminary study becomes important and relevant to the phenomenon of sharing economy, considering that not much research discusses the uniqueness and dynamics of interactions that occurs in the perspective of service-dominant logic (SDL). This study uses the Soft System Methodology (SSM) approach, precisely the first stage which is defining an unstructured situation. Approaches of gathering data include using participant observation, online observation, and in-depth interview. Interactions between actors can be explored using a service blueprint framework. In the perspective of SDL, the ability to identify operant resources (people and process) is crucial for value co-creation.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124945755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research also analyzed the previous regulations of the Minister of Finance Decree No. 359/KMK.06/2003, Minister of Finance Regulation No. 17/PMK.01/2008, which are related to the existence of real and pseudo-rotation of AF. This research used 195 non-financial industry companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange with pre-regulation research period is the year 2008-2014 and postregulation is the year 2015-2016. The results show that AF tenure has no quadratic effect on audit quality, while tenure of PA has a concave quadratic effect on audit quality in the post-regulation period. This study also found that the pseudo-rotation of AF had a positive effect on audit quality in the pre-regulation period and did not affect the post-regulation period, while it was not found that the real AF rotation had an effect on audit quality.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128538939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this MSMEs’ development effort, the academic community formed an activity called Business Coaching. Business coaching is now closely related to the empowerment of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs are believed to have a significant role in national economy by contributing to the gross domestic product (GDP) and decreasing labor. With this capability, MSMEs become the economic pillar of a superior government. In dealing with contributing in GDP, the MSMEs’ business actors must be able to implement its business strategy more flexibly in order to survive in the face of competition. Karin Kukis’s experience in responding to the holiday demand was not good. They produced dry cakes with insufficient amount. Karin Kukis felt that their production capacity was not optimal, so they were unable to meet the demand so that their target was not achieved. Therefore, a business strategy is needed to sustain Karin Kukis’ business. In response to these challenges, Karin Kukis operates a flexible business strategy. Strategic flexibility is the ability of a company to respond to variations in demand from a competitive and dynamic market environment [2]. In the face of this uncertain market demand, Karin Kukis will improve its production capacity so that Karin Kukis can achieve capacity optimization, compete with other competitors, and achieve the goal of increasing revenue from sales.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125444346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The level of competition between each other is also getting tighter. This competition leads to two factors, which are Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). One of the key components in Supply Chain Management (SCM) is the management of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). The construction industry tends to be late in adopting SCM into their management strategies. Contractors are also aware that the key to applying SCM in the construction industry is through proper production planning and purchasing. With these conditions, it is necessary for the company to implement an effective and efficient model of purchasing in order to achieve the expected conditions. A popular purchasing model portfolio used by academics and practitioners is the Kraljic Model, which was found by Peter Kraljic in 1983 and has been used by professionals to analyze purchasing strategies. PT. X is one of the private construction companies in Indonesia that participates in strategic national projects. To limit the quantity of commodity type, spending analysis is performed to discover which commodities give the largest value contribution to the company’s total expenditure in 2015-2017. These commodities are mapped on Kraljic’s matrix based on the supply risk and profit impact factor of each commodity. Based on the analysis results of using the Kraljic’s matrix, PT. X can implement a better purchasing strategy that can maximize the company’s performance, while the company’s Supply Chain Management Division can perform more effectively and efficiently.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127794390","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is conducted at PT Asta Kriya using business coaching method, where the author will discuss and observe the production process in PT Asta Kriya. Problems that occur at PT Asta Kriya, based on the results of discussions with the owner and direct observation, are not well-organized work area and the occurrence of the build-up of semi-finished products in the work area. If these conditions continue to happen, then the potential waste will pile up in the work area of PT Asta Kriya. These problems arise because of the absence of a system that regulates the layout of the work area and lack of supervision of semi-finished products inventory. Implementation of the 5S concept in PT Asta Kriya work area uses qualitative method by comparing differences before and after implementation. From the results of the 5S implementation in this business coaching, work area of PT Asta Kriya looks more organized with the sorting of unused items, the classification of semi-finished products, and the provision of floor marking in the work area. Supervision of semi-finished products is done by making a stock card for semifinished products to supervise inbound and outbound activities of the product.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130147851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
