Using data from 44 motor vehicle insurance companies in Indonesia from 2011 to 2016, a dynamic panel data regression model with generalized method of moment (GMM) developed by Arellano and Bond was used to analyze the impact of regulation on insurance premiums in Indonesia. To analyze the impact of regulation on changes in insurance premium volatility, this study used a fixed-effect method for panel data regression. Furthermore, to analyze the determinant factors for insurance premiums in the period before and after regulation, the study used panel data regression with weighted OLS method and Newey-West corrected standard error estimator. Empirical analysis showed that regulation has a positive and significant impact on motor vehicle insurance premiums in Indonesia but does not affect the volatility of such premiums. The factors affecting change of premium differ significantly in the period before and after deregulation.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127915217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, it aims to predict the moderation role of service climate as well as the mediation role of organizational commitment. Based on the results of this research, organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing behavior. Based on this, organizational commitment has a full mediation effect on the influence of job satisfaction on knowledge sharing behavior. Service Climate does not moderate the effect of job satisfaction on knowledge sharing behavior. The implications of this study indicate that with the increase in job satisfaction, organizational commitment will also increase. Knowledge sharing behavior can be achieved by organizational commitment. Climate service has no moderation role between job satisfaction and knowledge sharing behavior.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"191 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116781949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used a qualitative approach. The object of this research was Pawon Fasdiin which was engaged in the food and beverage industry. This research employed a business coaching method as well as interview and observation as the instruments. Based on the whole discussion and the implementation of business coaching by a coach to Ms. Retno as a coachee, the following conclusions were drawn: the coach and the coachee managed to create a new logo in a combination of yellow and green as the identity of the brand Pawon Fasdiin; Pawon Fasdiin now uses COGS and profit margin formulae to properly calculate the cost incurred to produce each product; and Pawon Fasdiin’s Instagram account now is better and more consistent in promoting its products, and the coach as well as the coachee agreed to separate the personal account and business account of Pawon Fasdiin.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124785337","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Twentyfour hypotheses regarding the relations of CSF of TQM and performance outcomes have been developed through literature review and the research model was tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. The study utilized survey data obtained from 310 respondent (employee and managers). The results indicate that leadership is a key factor that can drive performance improvement. The other critical success factors that drive services quality are continuous improvement, customer focus, and operational performance. Researchers could use the results of this study to explore variously related hypothesis in more detail. Managers in public organizations must realize that it is imperative for them to enhance their leadership as is it essential for effective quality improvement.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129248896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three-factor Asset Pricing Model [1] is employed in this study with daily individual stock price from June 2005 until December 2017, and later categorized into 25 portfolios based on their size and book-to-market equity. This study found no evidence of mispricing in Indonesia and Malaysia so that these Islamic stock markets are efficient. Different evidence was found in Singapore and Thailand as in those Islamic stock markets significant mispricing can be found in Thailand Islamic Stock Market and marginally significant mispricing in Singapore Islamic Stock Market, which indicates those markets are not efficient. Moreover, this study also found that Financial Crisis 2008 only has a significant effect in Indonesia and Thailand Islamic Stock Market. This paper gives new insight of Islamic Stock Market Efficiencies by focusing on Islamic stock in ASEAN which is a region dominated by emerging markets and this study also used the daily stock price of an individual stock and not index level data.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125015222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The availability of such reserves within a company is fundamental for them to maintain their business activities. They are also required in precise calculations regarding the allocation of funds owned by the company based on the sale of products issued, in order to generate profits. Based on the limitations of the traditional models, this paper intends to introduce an alternative model for estimating claim reserves, called the quantile regression model. According to Chan (2015), the quantile regression model is considered to have the ability to calculate claim reserves against data with heterogeneous variance and with no clear distribution, which is mostly insurance data known for. The main purpose of the research is to attempt to calculate an estimation for claim reserves by adopting the quantile regression model, and to observe whether the model can be applied to the context of the XYZ insurance company in Indonesia. The data used in the research are the claims data of XYZ company for motor vehicle insurance products from 2013 to 2015.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124043883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
