This paper analyzes the impact of the implementation of Thin Capitalization Rule, that limits the deductibility of the interest expense through limiting the debt to equity ratio, on the choice of capital structure of the company. In this study, we use corporate tax return data (SPT) from the fiscal year 2010 to 2017. Using panel data regression, the results of the study show that the Thin Capitalization Rule reduces the use of debt in the capital structure. This study also shows an indication that the enactment of this rule increases the use of related party debt in the capital structure.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125301156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, it also explains strategic alliance implications to form an entrepreneurial ecosystem. The social business model canvas is used as “beyond-profit business models” because it fits the requirement of a social enterprise to define and further innovate its business model. Furthermore, entrepreneurial ecosystems building is important to do because the ecosystem will help the business to work as usual. Hence, to help in forming an entrepreneurial ecosystem, strategic alliance will be used, in hope that the business will achieve sustainability. This research used qualitative data analysis gathered through conference calls, in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, supported with literature review as the reference of forming an entrepreneurial ecosystem. As the result, a social business model canvas for waste banks in Bali to produce plastic recycled products was developed, as well as the action plans to form entrepreneurial ecosystem using strategic alliances. The result is expected to positively affect waste banks’ sustainability in Bali and to enhance the value of plastic waste so that the amount of plastic waste will indirectly be reduced. Lastly, this research can be a reference for managerial implications of waste banks in Bali to produce plastic recycled products.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115510508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data was accumulated from 366 students of Sophomore and senior high school in Denpasar City who consumed Silver Queen chocolates, with convenience sampling technique. Differing from previous studies, this study reveals that in the adolescent segment market of chocolate bar product, the relationship between quality as well as convenience and repurchase intention are not significant. The reasons for the findings may be students’ limited financial capacity, subjective norms or different consumption orientation between the children segment market and adolescent segment market. Further study needs to explore the effects of subjective norms and shopping orientation effects on intention to purchase chocolate bar products.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114593811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, Poisson regression models are often used. However, in this model there is an assumption of equidispersion data where the mean value equals the value of the variance. In fact, this assumption is often violated in the observed data. In real data, the value of variance actually exceeds the mean (overly dispersed) value with the cause of the overdispersion depending on many situations. When the overdispersion source is exceeds zero (excess zero), then a more suitable model to use is the Zero-inflated Poisson regression model. In this paper, after the framework of Poisson regression and the Zero-inflated Poisson regression is reviewed then the model is adjusted to the claim frequency data in a private health insurance scheme where the frequency of claims is overly dispersed because of the number of zeros in the data set. Then Vuong’s test is done to compare the two models and obtain the result that the Zero-inflated Poisson regression is more suitable for modeling the frequency data of PT.XYZ Health Insurance claims.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123385023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Trans Jakarta’s operational effectiveness is one of the important factors in realizing Smart Transportation in the province of DKI Jakarta. This research looks at the strategies and technologies that have been applied by the company, the travel time of buses which operate on Corridor 1, and the factors affecting trip duration. The analysis was conducted based on the data obtained, which comprised of both primary and secondary data. Primary data includes interviews and field observations, such as the number of stops, the duration of traffic lights, and areas that point to potential obstacles. Secondary data was obtained from the company, which includes the number of passengers, bus travel history, and bus specifications and capacity. By adapting to the research conducted by Benevolo, et al. [5] regarding Smart Mobility Taxonomy, Comi, et al. [1] regarding travel time variability, and Berhan, et al. [2] regarding the optimization of the number of buses operating using the Linear Programming method, this research obtained results in the form of benefits of the technology implemented, as well as providing a solution in the form of a bus schedule (time table) which will subsequently be used as a basis to determine the minimum number of buses operating in order to optimize bus utilization and daily operating costs.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124224330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But in the real market, not all stock which declines will return to the highest level. There are several stocks which still continue to rise, and even break its highest level. The objective of this research is to evaluate the performance of momentum strategy using 52-week high data in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research uses monthly data of LQ45 from January 2012 until December 2016. The portfolio which is formed then will be backtested using portfolio attribution. The result shows that momentum strategy using 52week high is able to generate the return but still below the Jakarta Composite Index. The 52-week high strategy is more effective to generate the abnormal return in small capitalization companies.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115822270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study also examines the effect of corporate governance as a variable to moderate the association. The sample used is companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012 until 2016, which consist of 309 observations. The results indicate that book-tax differences have no significant effect on audit fees. Corporate governance is also not proven to weaken the association. Interpretation of the results might imply that book-tax differences have not been seen by auditors as a risk factor in determining the audit fees, probably due to the low potential of earnings management from such differences.","PeriodicalId":285535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR 2018)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116689094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
