The results of this research indicate that knowledge sharing proved to have a significant effect on competency development, and also on affective commitment of the Gen Y employees in PT PP (Persero), Tbk Head Office. The more knowledge shared in the organization; the higher employee competencies will become. Additionally, competency development proved to significantly and positively mediate the influence of knowledge sharing on affective commitment This study contributes to literature regarding Gen Y’s knowledge sharing, competency development and also affective commitment.
