Technology helps people much. Technology makes everything easier, faster, and much more accurate. Many people depend on technology. Today’s era is called millennial. It’s believed that millennial era means the end of the world. In this era, the dynamic of world change is signed by what it is called industrial revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0). In accordance with education, IR 4.0 is characterized by innovation—process of making changes to something established by introducing something new with a better result. To create innovation, students should have curiosity, creativity, collaborative, and social/physical interaction. Thus, it needs professional teachers. Professional teachers are responsible to train students to master those skills and or competences by taking the advantages of technology--special feature of IR 4.0--ethically. Meanwhile, the teacher’s role is as a facilitator or mentor for the students and treat them as individuals.","PeriodicalId":242709,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference of Science and Technology in Elementary Education, ICSTEE 2019, 14 September, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128665389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research was conducted with the aim to increase learning outcomes of the weak student by diagnosis (knowing their weaknesses in learning, and providing solutions about appropriate learning methods), which is expected to reveal the factors that influence students in learning by citing learning designs of Rita and Kenneth Dunn. After completing the Learning Style Questionnaire, an analysis/calculation of the results for each research topic was carried out. In this study, 6 groups of learning style tendencies are identified to draw conclusions for a learning style. The results of the diagnosis can later be used as a reference in designing appropriate methods to improve learning outcomes..","PeriodicalId":242709,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference of Science and Technology in Elementary Education, ICSTEE 2019, 14 September, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127774026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is still often heard that the students make mistakes in counting operations during their apprenticeship in elementary schools. The same thing was also revealed that when elementary school teacher candidates took the Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) test, there were still many graduates who had errors in completing elementary school math problems. The study aimed to: (1) describe basic Mathematical abilities of final semester PGSD students at State University of Makassar, (2) know the description of elementary Mathematics material that is considered difficult by final semester PGSD students at State University of Makassar, (3) to investigate what factors affecting the basic Mathematical ability of the final semester PGSD students at State University of Makassar. This research is a descriptive qualitative with the type of case studies to analyze the description of PGSD students’ basic Mathematical ability in the academic year of 2018-2019. The population of this study was 302 students. The samples taken were 30% of the population, 105 people. For qualitative data collection, 18 respondents were interviewed. The average results of the Mathematical ability tests of final year PGSD students at State University of Makassar were 76.83 modes 80.00 with a standard deviation of 13.62.","PeriodicalId":242709,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference of Science and Technology in Elementary Education, ICSTEE 2019, 14 September, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114851759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To change the condition from traditional learning to new learning is still need to improved especilly at the implementation level. There are three main points should be faced: time, change, and education; creativity and classroom interaction; and teacher’s competences. In 21 century learning involves five types of interactions: (a) learner– content, (b) learner–teacher, (c) learner–learner, (d) learner–interface and (e) learner– community. To overcome these fenomena, teachers should master the four competences of the teacher that conneted firmly one each other, pedagogical, professional, personality, and social competency.
