Verbitsky. Context as a semantic phenomenon is key in the description of the human psyche and therefore acts as an important scientific category. This concept can become a General humanitarian category, while it should also become a tool of practice. In Russian pedagogy and psychology on the basis of this understanding was formed contextual approach. There are many other studies, both in our country and abroad, which use the concept of “context” to describe the phenomena of education. The advantage of the Russian school of contextual approach is the systematic development of both the specific content of the concept and methodology of the General psychological context approach, and its various applications, primarily in the field of education. Reforms of education and science carried out in our country for more than 20 years did not give the desired result. The level of education in both secondary and higher schools has fallen significantly in comparison with the Soviet system of the 1980s and the leading countries. This is clearly shown by international comparisons. The situation in the education system of Russia today is increasingly seen as a threat to the national security of the country. The question naturally arises of what to do in this situation. At the same time, it is desirable to find tools and control actions that do not require huge funds. I show that many problems are caused by the fact that the Russian higher school is guided by the guidelines of the outgoing rather than the coming era. Now there is a transition from the industrial to the post-industrial phase of the development of civilization, from the world of machines to the world of people. It happens very quickly, in the form of a humanitarian-technological revolution, and unfortunately is completely ignored by most domestic universities. I propose several approaches that allow universities in Russia to «face the future.» The experience of teaching in a number of universities leads to the conclusion that we face with systemic problems. Their solution requires, first of all, a change in the view of the pedagogical and scientific community on the goals, strategy, and future of national education. Only after such a change we can offer managerial decisions that been tested at a number of sites have a chance of success. This view can be interesting for either experienced teachers or young professionals. The article reveals the processes of digitalization and its impact on the modern pedagogical world, as well as provides arguments in favor of the introduction of game approaches to teaching foreign languages using both classical techniques and modern computer tools, which are currently the most relevant, but not widely applicable. Due to the fact that the use of games in learning is still a controversial issue, the article presents the views of researchers supporting the benefits of gamification in education, namely, the feasibility of team games, and computer technologies and online games for better absorption of the material, increasing motivation to study aspects of language, improve memorizing of complex material by converting it to game and therefore easier form, and removing the language and psychological barriers, able to add difficulties in learning a foreign language. The author presents the experience of her own project training method, carried out in 2017-2019 as a part of extra-curricular project activities at the Department of Media Linguistics, Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University. From a methodological point of view, such characteristics of the genre as a dialogical nature, the interaction of informational and manipulative communicative strategies, the role of interviews in representing national-cultural and individual ideas about the world are considered. The integrated approach used in the work includes the methods of linguistic, linguoculturological, contextual and methodological analysis. The form of organization of the educational interview deliberately creates and immerses students in a special social environment that refects the specifc characteristics of the diversity of cultures - a multicultural educational space. Representations of extra-linguistic reality are materially expressed in the text at all levels of speech organization: words (language signs), groups of words (phrases, sentences), text, set of texts. The format of the educational interview allows students to improve their knowledge of speech formulas adopted in this culture in a specifc situation of verbal communication, and, consequently, to develop their intercultural competence. The author systematizes and interprets these phenomena, based on the results of the All-Russian Forum «Modern Development of Pedagogical Education» (Grozny, September 28- 2 9, 2019) and the Scientifc and Educational Forum «Russia - China: New Frontiers and Prospects for Humanitarian Cooperation» (Moscow, RAO, October 17- 1 8, 2019). Several research focuses were highlighted, including: problems of state policy in education (continuity, conceptuality, etc.); theoretical and methodological problems of project management; problems of internal and external cooperation; problems of management and conceptualization of innovative processes and problems of anthropology of education. As one of the possible tools for a meaningful discussion and solution of all these problems, the humanitarian methodology and the «spatial-feld approach» (paradigm) of the interpretation of educational phenomena emerging in its framework, which is consistent with the relevant ideas of K. Levin (psychology), P. Bourdieu (sociology), are considered) and R. Tom (linguistics).
