The article is based on the many years of experience of the author, a well-known cultural scientist, media theorist, and specialist of the university system of media education, who has been developing her personal methodology for more than twenty years. Considering the practice of different media schools that have developed in the countries of Europe and the USA, as well as in post-Soviet Russia, the author proves that media education is a comprehensive approach to personality development, combining various humanities (cultural studies, pedagogy, psychology, art history, semiotics, etc.). The experience of implementing media education in the curriculum of humanitarian disciplines shows the effectiveness of the formation of a comprehensively developed personality, which provides competitive advantages to future professionals and confirms the effectiveness of methods of media pedagogy. Analyzing the experience of educators from different countries, as well as personal experience, the author proceeds from the fact that UNESCO identifies media education as the highest priority sphere of cultural and pedagogical development of the XXI century, and therefore media pedagogy has great prospects.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130695919","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose is to analyze the conditions of the organization of training for elderly citizens in Russia and abroad. The system research method has allowed one to analyze the organization of training for this category of citizens and to identify the conditions under which the availability of vocational training and additional professional education in Russia and abroad is possible on the basis of adopted laws and stateestablished guarantees. The authors conclude that different countries use legal, organizational and social mechanisms for public management of educational services for citizens at the retirement age. Despite the differences in economy and culture, many countries share a common understanding of the possibilities of citizens at the retirement age, as well as the understanding that different conditions, including educational ones, must be created for people at this age.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133850911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All this requires university graduates to be professionally competent, whose inherent indicators are fluency in a foreign language and norms of intercultural communication. The intercultural orientation of modern social thought is implemented in educational policy, considering a modern university graduate as a person, not just possessing specific competences and knowledge, but also capable of cooperating and constructive multicultural dialogue, interacting with people of different cultures and knowing the system of socially significant world values. In modern pedagogical science, considerable experience has been accumulated in preparing students of different specialities for intercultural interaction, forming and developing the tolerance, intercultural communicative competences, educating the younger generations in a multicultural world. Nevertheless, the issue of preparing would-be economists for intercultural interaction in the context of the information remains poorly developed today.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"208 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122618583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis of scientific research has established the following: modern pedagogical approaches are not used to a large extent in universities, which does not allow to intensively build the competencies of future engineers. The author has developed suggestions for improving the process of higher education in the context of modern approaches to education. He argues that for the effective training of future engineers in accordance with selected innovative training tools (interactive methods and technologies) and updated content of engineering education with focus on competency-based approach, psychological and pedagogical support (selection of methods and tools) should be selected. Simultaneous formation of multiple competencies can occur in the framework of solving the problem of mastering the unit of educational content through interactive actions using a certain technological method (its content and the content of education define specific competency components).","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"8 18","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131943895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An analysis of sources showed that components of emotional intelligence are as follows: interpersonal understanding of the concept, emotional expressiveness, emotional awareness, behavioral intentions. The study was conducted using a google form posted in the electronic courses of Nizhny Novgorod University in courses designed for continuing education. It was revealed that the semantic content of the concept “emotional intelligence” is different for employees and managers of organizations. Changes in emotional intelligence are determined by the development of its components: interpersonal understanding of emotions, emotional expressiveness, emotional awareness, empathy, behavioral intentions. In organizations, positive personal qualities prevail. It is the norm for building interaction, developing a corporate culture based on creativity, relationships, and self-development. The results obtained can be of practical importance for the development of training technology for a specific organization, which would not contradict the organizational culture.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127088792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Within the scope of this study, interdisciplinary thinking is defined as the ability to integrate the knowledge of two or more disciplines, improve the learning process, and produce results that would be difficult or unlikely to achieve when using a separate discipline. It is considered as a complex cognitive skill consisting of a number of sub-skills. The review showed that to date there is a small number of scientific studies focusing on the interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning. The study further advanced the understanding of the necessary components of interdisciplinary thinking and the typical conditions that ensure its development. This understanding will provide a basis for further development of interdisciplinarity in higher education.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"15 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123790087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
