The authors give their own concept of universalism, based on the epistemological approach and backed by history, philosophy, and cultural studies. Undoubtedly, universals reflect an image of a person of a historically definite type of culture. They represent a person’s place in the world, social relations and spiritual life. These parameters are changeable, but at the same time they can be permanent. The article shows the categorization of the concept of universalism and underlines the variety of its use. Universals are not the same in different cultures, but they are classified on the similar basis. The authors name this principle of classification a general denominator of cultures, which includes ideology, values, symbols, and meanings. Universals vary in their content, but have the same form in various cultures. The authors of the article argue that the border between “universals of culture” and “universals of civilization” is unstable and determined by a situation. The article proves the thesis that the system of universals is not closed. Due to the development and the processes of person’s adaptation to the reality, some universals disappear; others emerge. The authors believe that there are also eternal, permanent universals, which express the main needs of a person.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121104314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article is devoted to the development of professional competencies in bachelors of a technical university, studying the discipline \"Hydraulics and oil and gas hydromechanics\" and \"Oil and gas business\". The article analyzes the influence of students 'motivation on the quality of knowledge and development of competencies. It also substantiates the need to increase the level of students' motivation for learning activities. The author gives recommendations how to improve the level of motivation. One of the effective ways is to use a point-rating system. The article describes the point-rating system that is used in the educational process of the Octyabrsky branch of Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, which helps to improve the level of motivation of students to learning activities. The article describes the development of the motivational criterion taking into account three levels: low, medium and high. The content of all three given levels of development of the motivational criterion is described. The article analyzes the results of the survey according to the methods developed by T.D. Dubovitskaya and T.I. Ilyina to identify the level of motivation in full-time and part-time students. An experimental study aimed at increasing the level of motivation in full-time students conducted in the control group of students is described. The results obtained in the control and experimental groups are compared, and conclusions are drawn.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133118806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of these projects, supported by the Russian Foundation for basic research, was initiated by a research group of the Ural Federal University. The aim of the study was a comparative study of the practice of introducing modern formats of engineering education in several European and Russian universities to analyze the dynamics of the institutional environment of modern engineering education. A comparative analysis of empirical research data in the practice of introducing new models of engineering education at partner universities made it possible to expand understanding of the specifics of the institutionalization processes of modern practices of training technical specialists for the digital economy, identify possible contradictions, “gaps” in the system of modern engineering education, and formulate proposals on smoothing out the most acute problems.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129991414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Berdyaev, as well as his contemporaries, German thinkers W. Dilthey, E. Troeltsch and H.G. Gadamer. The author is not limited to a comparative analysis of the above methods – they become complementary elements of the method of this study. The essence of this method, which in this case can be seen as a result of the study, is that in order to penetrate the mystery of “historical”, we shall first of all; understand the history as our own to its depth, as our history and destiny. The life experience of the cognizing subject is not just a means; it always constitutes the initial prerequisite for the interpretation of past events. Thus, the creature of a historical phenomenon can open itself only when we understand the history as something that is still happening, and moreover, which is happening with us. Such an approach makes it possible to present the relations of the two leading lines of philosophical-historical knowledge – Russian and German – in the form of a relevant dialogue, which constitutes a relative novelty of the study. At the same time, the problem of forming the common one is transferred from the field of theoretical-methodological, to the practical, existential, ontological field, thus contributing to going beyond the current consideration of the issue of modern, rather difficult relations between Russia and the West, which is the practical importance of the study.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117328115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In contrast to the traditional definition of this trope, the latest metaphor theories by the outstanding philosophers, their distinctive features and significance for science are described and analyzed in this article. Each approach is accompanied with unique examples of the stylistic device in question taken from the works of modern English literature. Each approach reveals a new facet and unique features of this language phenomenon. It should be noted that the theories of outstanding philosophers of the 20th century described above have a solid evidence base, and, therefore, full right to exist. Each of them, in its own way, reveals the essence of metaphor and in its context explains its signs and properties. However, these theories should not be mutually exclusive, but rather complement each other. To limit oneself to only one method of studying a metaphor is the same as looking at the world through a small window and seeing only a small part of it, only a small segment of the horizon, in this case very much can remain beyond the limits of our vision.","PeriodicalId":191967,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference on Philosophy of Education, Law and Science in the Era of Globalization (PELSEG 2020)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127034883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Joint education of Russian and international students has its own specificity, since students with different level of Russian language proficiency and different level of pre-university training are united in groups and cohorts. In these circumstances, without the introduction of new methods and approaches to scientific disciplines, it is impossible to train qualified specialists in accordance with international educational standards. The purpose of the paper is to identify factors influencing the academic adaptation of international students; to search for solutions of joint education tasks at a technical university; to present innovative methods of teaching economic disciplines. Competence and knowledge of another culture, entering a foreign language space contribute to the development of the cognitive component, which includes obtaining information about foreign culture, traditions, cultural values: mores, customs, stereotypes of behavior and consciousness, assessments, opinions, interpretations, etc. This knowledge leads to the integration of society, to the growth of mutual understanding between people, their complementarity, solidarity, mutual assistance, etc. The development of cognition is mediated by the fact that a foreign language, as an additional channel of information into the system, increases the amount of knowledge that is the basis of mental activity, which has a positive effect on the quality of intelligence.
