Especially in the national and regional political elections, online politics is mainly presented in the form of online politicians. Online popularity is the most prominent feature of politicians. How did online popularity politics come into being? Based on the semiotic theory, this paper points out that the effective interaction and operation among the media, speech acts and audience objects constitute the mechanism for the formation of online celebrity politics in the Internet era. Specifically, politicians’ exaggerated body behavior, novel language and rich expressions are regarded as personalized expressions with labels. With the help of the Internet media, politicians’ images are constantly constructed and stereotyped in personalized symbolic expressions through the two paths of political election disenchantment and personal identity labeling. Politicians take this opportunity to win the support rate and attention of the public and finally get votes.","PeriodicalId":166253,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115920175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both of these poetry translation methods have provided us with valuable practical experience. However, volumes 1 to 3 of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, as authoritative interpretations of Chinese wisdom, Chinese plans, and Chinese theories, contain a large number of ancient Chinese poems. However, in the English version of the three volumes, the English translations of the relevant verses do not copy the existing translations, of famous translators, but instead, use the paraphrasing method to render these verses. By collecting representative verses on different topics and comparing the similarities and differences between translators’ translations of the same poems in the three volumes, the author summarizes the different paths of poetry translation, explores the feasibility and merits of the paraphrasing method as the main path of translating poetry in political texts, and provides a practical basis for promoting the paraphrasing method of poetry translation.","PeriodicalId":166253,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131247381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Before relegation has a strong realistic pertinence. The themes of his poetry are the anxiety about the turmoil of state affairs and the belief in victory over the nomads. The style of his poems took on a vigorous, high-spirited and vehement look, which is closely associated with the general trend towards national salvation in the wake of the Jingkang Incident, where the Northern Song capital was besieged and sacked, as well as the “Sino–barbarian dichotomy (華夷之辨) in the Confucian tradition. After relegation, Li Guang indulged in landscapes and books and history to relieve his grief. His poems mostly expressed rationality and interest in a leisurely life, but he did not lose his true quality of being bold and unconstrained. The key to the change in his poetic style is to practice “ learning for self-cultivation and academic standards,” to cultivate morality and self-development with the art of “inner sage”, to penetrate the outer falsehood, and to stay calm and wait for mandates from the “outer king” to come.","PeriodicalId":166253,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130297406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The “verse” school of Shakespeare translation maintains that Shakespeare’s original plays are verse, unique to 16th and 17th-century English poetic dramas (blank verse), which does not rhyme but has a distinct rhythm different from that of prose, typically an iambic five steps per line, capable of both impounding and crooning. Even the prose part of Shakespeare’s plays is also rhythmless verse, which can go into the realm that prose cannot go into. But some point out that translating Shakespeare’s works should base on the principle that “there is no fixed style, but a general style” the “general style” can have different expression styles under the concession of a certain style and the subjects, contents and the different characters of the translators. Besides, the early Shakespearean works were written in blank verse, and in the middle and late periods, they were written in prose. There are also other styles and variants, for example, the “prose-verse-couplet” in Timon of Athens and “syneathetic rhyme” in Winter’s Tale. Consequently, the translations of Shakespeare’s works should be “there is the beauty of poetry and fluency of the prose; meanwhile, poetry and prose should be combined.” Poetry and prose should permeate and converge. “The translations should not hold shape and lose the true conditions, mud the skin and misplace the temperament.”","PeriodicalId":166253,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121568847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the major challenges that translators face is the English translation of a large number of Chinese culture-specific items (CSIs) contained in the publicity materials. There has been some discussion about the Chinese-English translation of CSIs in tourism publicity materials. However the previous studies are largely inadequate and unsystematic. In this paper, a category-based functional approach is taken to address the issue more systematically. It features a tripartite categorization of the Chinese CSIs in the tourism publicity materials of Nanjing Confucius Temple and a detailed analysis of their specific textual functions. Two general principles and three concrete methods are proposed to improve further the quality of translating the CSIs in tourism publicity materials.","PeriodicalId":166253,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129965389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
