It can be used in cities within the intelligent infrastructure. In this usage, there is essential to have an effective handover and its strategies. This paper focuses on handover strategies in standard IEEE 802.11. The article briefly describes existing handover strategies and introduces a new one based on AI, which is evaluated in our simulation tool implemented in Matlab. The Simulator can be used to model a specific environment, including obstacles that are important to achieve constrain of the real environment. The contribution of this simulation tool is focusing on handover strategies and avoiding the infrastructure layer, which is the next step after finding a good handover strategy. The presented new handover strategy is based on reinforcement learning and achieves better results than the standard strategies described in this paper.","PeriodicalId":151344,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116747567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper describes the research, which deals with the approximation and verification of the benefits of service quality and its impact on the quality of the transmitted video. Achieving the set goals was realized through the design of a real test network and test scenarios, which helped verify the benefits of service quality and their impact on the quality of the transmitted video. The results were obtained by comparing the measured values during the test scenarios using measurement software with video no-reference objective metrics.","PeriodicalId":151344,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122199477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Deployments are documented and the advantages and disadvantages of selected distributions are evaluated. The paper consists of five parts. The first part is devoted to the issue of virtualization and containerization. The issue of orchestration and automation is also described here. The second part describe the Kubernetes containerization and orchestration tools and its position on the market. The third part defines the objectives of the work and sets the production requirements that individual distributions should meet. The fourth part of the work is devoted to the deployment and explanation of selected Kubernetes distributions. There is an infrastructure design for the clusters and the necessary configuration to meet the set production requirements. The last part is devoted to the evaluation and recommendation of distribution for the production deployment of the Kubernetes cluster.","PeriodicalId":151344,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128517329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The situation required fast solutions, especially concerning methodological and technical support. This resulted in significant upgrades of all systems. This article displays the views and opinions of Comenius University students on online learning during the past three academic years, including the year 2021 - 2022, when the said education became optional. We summarize advantages and disadvantages of online learning according to our students and compare them to survey results and theories found in literature focused on this field. At the end, we formulate recommendations that might help eliminate weaknesses of online learning and could lead to improving its quality.","PeriodicalId":151344,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128580314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The knowledge gained linking to similar national projects also solved outside the academic environment. When investigating the identified problems, the knowledge gained during the solution of the project “Extensions to support the effective exploitation of outputs from H2020 projects solved at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE)” is also used. The project initiated in 2018 by a targeted national call supported by the European Regional Development Fund, is managing by the University Science Park TECHNICOM at TUKE. Following European development strategies, the results and solutions of project activities are briefly presenting and examined in a broader context through their contribution to the support of the university system of innovative cooperation with practice and business development. From this point of view, authors discussed other aspects related to usability/applicability and support for “innovative transfer” of products generated, both in European framework research projects, and in other similar research projects. In conclusion, there are thematic proposals for sustainable and effective research and innovation cooperation with practice in the dimensions of European and national research programs and their projects.","PeriodicalId":151344,"journal":{"name":"2022 20th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127916665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
