In a study of 60 Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas(HNSCC) cases (30 OSCC, 30 LSCC), NGS revealed TP53 mutations in 70% of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and 83% of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). CDKN2A alterations were more common in OSCC (40%) than LSCC (20%), while PIK3CA mutations were higher in LSCC (30%). NOTCH1 mutations were more frequent in OSCC (27%) than LSCC (10%). Pathway analysis showed disruptions in p53 and PI3K-Akt, with stronger enrichment in LSCC (ES: 3.42). The results suggest site-specific tumor biology influencing therapeutic targets. A total of 60 students aged 15-18 years participated in a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. Pre-test results showed 48% of students had poor knowledge, which dropped to 10% post-intervention, with \"good\" knowledge rising to 60%. A significant increase in mean knowledge scores was observed (t = 9.58, p < 0.05). Among all demographic variables, only religion showed a significant association with pre-test knowledge. DMS is synthesized by marine phytoplankton, plays a central role in Earth's sulfur cycle and has growing relevance in astrobiology. DMS formation is mediated by complex microbial, viral, enzymatic and photochemical processes that reflect dynamic interactions within marine ecosystems. Bacterial pathways responsible for DMSP degradation are genetically diverse and ecologically widespread, while viral lysis of phytoplankton contributes to release and recycling of sulfur compounds. Once released into the atmosphere, DMS contributes to sulfate aerosol formation, influencing cloud condensation and planetary albedo - an example of biogeochemical feedback between ocean life and climate. This report reviews terrestrial DMS production, including microbial, viral and abiotic contributions. Given its volatility, detectability and potential biological origin, DMS is considered a promising biosignature candidate in the search for life on exoplanets.</p>","PeriodicalId":8962,"journal":{"name":"Bioinformation","volume":"21 6","pages":"1668-1671"},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2025-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC12449544/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"145111955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
