Histology showed squamous hyperplasia, inflammation and vascular changes. Clinical redness significantly correlated with epithelial hyperplasia and lymphocytic infiltration. Abstract
The correlations between clinical signs and histo-pathological features are of interest. Hence, a prospective study of 48 primary pterygia cases examined.
