It has revive discourse on Islamic studies in various parts of the Islamic world. It is not only become a threat to the status quo of the Muslim rulers, in fact it has been raising the academic and scholarly discussion in the forums of national, regional, and international levels. The influence of the concept of wilâyat al-faqîh from Imam Khomeini to contemporary Islamic thought in Indonesia looked on discourse about the relation between religion and state. Indeed, the debate on religion-state relations have long occurred in Indonesia, but in academic discourse becomes increasingly crowded since the concept of wilâyat al-faqîh serve as the basis for the establishment of the Islamic State of Iran by Imam Khomeini. Through a study of relevant Sufism literature, this research has proven that Sufism paradigmatically views men and women as no different. In the eyes of God, according to the Sufis, the position of men and women (gender) is equal. The paradigm still recognizes the instinctive and instinctive differences between men and women with their respective strengths and weaknesses to give each other, receive and fill the void to reach al-insân al-kâmil (perfect human) on God's side. However, this article also finds that Sufi views on gender are not homogeneous. A number of Sufi figures examined in this article do have positive views towards women, but other Sufi figures may have different views. For about a thousand year or more, al-Farabi philosophy has been forgotten and most of his works and masterpiece was let alone and remain untouched and almost vanished. This condition seeks an effort to place al-Farabi work in Islamic constellation horizon proportionally and comprehensively. This research is aimed at investigating al-Farabi philosophy as one of the creative and original Muslim philosophical work ideology critic. “Ideology critic” in this context is an indication that a system function’s properly and cover ‘a thought’ and influence the material at the thought it self. Through a study of relevant literature, it was found that the tarekat (tharîqah) as a part of Sufism (Islamic mysticism) has developed since the 13th century, not long after the Mongolian armies conquered and destroyed Baghdad, Iraq. In its history, there have been internal excessive behaviours among the followers. Fortunately, tharîqah in some places and periods has encouraged people to be more or less innovators in struggling to fight the colonial power embracing different religions and also the Moslem people, as their protests, having cooperation with the former, the colonial power. After the Independence of Indonesia, some tharîqah activists in their articulation of political activities became functionaries of political parties. To them, power or authority was not their political barometer.
