This study sought to understand school nurse and administrator perspectives on school-based asthma management and stock inhaler policy implementation. Twenty-three semistructured interviews were conducted with professionals from five high asthma burdened counties in varied geographic settings. Thematic analysis revealed three themes. \"School-Based Asthma Management\" revealed concerns about management methods of asthma and respiratory emergencies, and incident tracking. \"Access to a Supportive Asthma School Environment\" emphasized growth opportunities for family education, staff training, and resource access. \"Stock Inhaler Programming\" described how stock inhalers ensure consistent asthma medication access with easy integration into existing emergency protocols. With proper adoption and dissemination, stock inhaler programming has the capacity to enhance school-based asthma management and emergency responsiveness in schools across the country. This study evaluates the effectiveness and key components of interventions for children with asthma. A systematic search of multiple databases was conducted up to September 2023. Two independent reviewers assessed the risk of bias using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool, and descriptive evidence synthesis with albatross plots was used to analyze the findings. Results revealed that school nurse-led asthma interventions positively influenced asthma symptoms, medication use, asthma-related quality of life, and self-management in schoolchildren. However, emergency visits, hospitalization, and absence outcomes remain inconclusive. Effective components identified across studies included chronic disease management, direct care, and collaborative communication. School-based stock inhaler programs are a practical approach to ensure equitable access to life-saving rescue medication for students. School and community partnerships can potentially strengthen program implementation and fidelity by integrating evidence-based practices into routine care. We report the findings of a novel practice facilitation model developed by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health to facilitate the implementation of the Stock Inhaler for Schools Program in K-12 Schools. Three-hundred twenty-four schools participated in the program, with 153 schools reporting a stock inhaler event for a total of 1,310 events across four school years. Most events (78%) were compliant with the protocol for administering the stock inhaler to a student. Using Group Concept Mapping, we interviewed school nurses, staff, school-based providers, and families/caregivers (N = 31). We elicited feedback regarding social circumstances relevant to asthma exacerbations in schools and then participants prioritized those circumstances. Perspectives of our 31 participants produced 84 statements, grouped into 10 clusters and rated separately on the impact and feasibility of preventing asthma exacerbations in schools. The highest rated clusters were Exposure to smoking / vaping and Caregiver / Child lack of asthma education. Stakeholders identified a variety of factors, with some rated as highly impactful yet less feasible to address. Important circumstances are recognized by multiple stakeholders, yet are underresearched, especially to guide collaborative school-based interventions. This study investigated whether the association between asthma and anxiety and/or depression was signiﬁcantly greater among children who experienced caregiver incarceration (CGI) compared to those without CGI. Using the National Survey of Children's Health (2016-2020) data, we estimated the effects of asthma and CGI on anxiety and/or depression among school-aged children (age 6-17) (N = 125,005). Data were analyzed using multivariate techniques in R Software. Asthma and CGI were positively associated with anxiety and depression. Notably, increased anxiety and depression associated with asthma were significantly greater among children who experienced CGI versus those who did not. The joint effects of asthma and CGI on mental health are significantly greater than their individual effects. School-based interventions are needed to address the mental health challenges of children affected by asthma and CGI. This cross-sectional study examined the influence of school climate and moral disengagement on resilience among 167 Thai secondary students using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. Participants included 38.3% victims, 28.7% perpetrators, and 32.9% bully-victims. Most students reported medium to high levels of resilience and positive perceptions of school climate. Boys were more likely to report moral disengagement (p < .001). Structural modeling indicated that school climate was positively associated with resilience (β = 0.471, p < .001). Moral disengagement was not significantly associated with resilience, and mediation through moral disengagement was not supported. The model accounted for 27% of the variance in resilience.
