Consequently, this paper illustrated how wage increase might be linked to the price level dynamics in a small structural model of analysis of an emerging economy. The paper employed standard methodological approach, Vector Autoregressive Model, to determine the sources of shock to price level in Nigeria. The Variance Decomposition results showed that increases in the minimum wage have contributed significantly to shocks in employment and inflation rate. It shows that shocks in wages cause unemployment and are necessarily inflationary in Nigeria. The findings and the conclusion of the study suggested the need for the policy makers to curtail excess liquidly in Nigeria and enforce the respect of monetary requirements and fiscal discipline. In the light of this suggestion, the policy makers should evaluate the productivity of labor and ensure that the aggregate supply is increased to offset the increase in minimum wage.","PeriodicalId":492906,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business management and economic review","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135504601","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence of the three variables varied, namely direct effect or there is a mediating variable. This study also examined employee engagement as a mediating variable for the effect of employee motivation and commitment on employee performance. This study used 408 employees of manufacturing companies who participated by filling out a questionnaire. The results of validity testing using factor analysis and reliability with internal consistency (Cronbach's Alpha) proved that the measuring instrument used was valid and reliable. The mediation model was tested using a two-step approach of structural equation modeling. The results of this study strengthened several previous studies which found that employees who were motivated and committed would be involved and engaged to the organization and work, so that their performance was getting better. An in-depth discussion and recommendations were presented at the end of this article.","PeriodicalId":492906,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business management and economic review","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135504610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current state of affairs is hindered by the intricate nature of the issues at hand and the deficiencies of the VOEA that are presently underway. In West Java, for instance, a significant portion of the 2,921-unit VOEA, specifically 85%, are inoperative. Similarly, in Indonesia as a whole, out of the total 45,549-unit VOEAs established, only 30% remain functional due to their inability to effectively compete. Hence, the purpose of this study is to construct a model for enhancing the competitive innovation of the Village Owned Enterprise Agency (VOEA) in the province of West Java, as well as in Indonesia as a whole. The results of this study demonstrate that equity crowdfunding serves as a potent mechanism for promoting alternative financing and facilitating new avenues of financial access for VOEA. Moreover, it acts as a catalyst for entrepreneurship and innovation, fostering sustained competitiveness in the execution of VOEA business operations in the region of West Java, Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":492906,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business management and economic review","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135504611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The population is all cleaning workers at the Pidie District Environmental Service (DLH Pidie), totaling 211 people. Determination of the sample is done using a census where the entire population becomes the research respondent. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The model was tested using SEM-AMOS and the Sobel test. The results of research at DLH Pidie cleaning workers prove that motivation, compensation, satisfaction, and employee performance are going well. In direct influences, it can also be seen that satisfaction is significantly influenced by motivation and compensation, and the performance of DLH Pidie cleaning workers is also significantly influenced by motivation, compensation, and satisfaction. In indirect influences, satisfaction partially mediated the motivation and compensation influence on cleaning workers' performance. This result can certainly be interpreted that the performance model of DLH Pidie cleaning workers is a function of increasing the motivation, compensation, and satisfaction of these cleaning workers.","PeriodicalId":492906,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business management and economic review","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135504605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study adopted a descriptive research design to collect data from both primary and secondary to describe the entire research topic. The data collection methods used in this study included questionnaires, Focus Group Discussions, observation, and interview guides were used as data collection methods. The findings of the study indicated that hotels do not support social services perpendicularly and thus have negative social impacts on the local communities. It also has some negative consequences. The study findings revealed that tourist hotels have changed the behaviours of most of the young generation in the villages, including their living styles, due to intermarriages and mixed culture, which has maximized the negative cultural behaviours in the community. It was also found in the study that the hotel industry in the area has provided employment opportunities to some residents of the area both at the professional and nonprofessional levels and thus exerted a positive impact in terms of employment creation.","PeriodicalId":492906,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business management and economic review","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135506896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
