The analyze focused on library research by using history research method. History research method requires certain procedures for instance heuristic, verification, interpretation, and historiography. As a result, there are three significant factors that triggered the violence againt Malcolm X performed by NOI perpetrators. The first factor was assumed on the popularity of Malcolm X whom gained more attention than Elijah Muhammad did. The consequences of Malcolm X’s fame initiated the jelaousy toward him. As a result there was rumour produced by Elijah Muhammad followers on the agenda of coup d’etat  against the leadership of the legal chief of NOI. The next cause of the internal conflict within NOI was the scandal of Elijah Muhammad with his female secretary. The last factor was the Malcolm X opinion on mass media toward the homicide of President Kennedy. Keywords : Influence, Internal Conflict, Malcolm X, NOI. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh Malcolm X dan konflik internal dalam gerakan NOI. Penelitian ini dipusatkan pada kajian pustaka dengan menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah. Langkah yang dilakukan peneliti yaitu heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah setidaknya ada tiga faktor utama yang menyebabkan konflik Malcolm X dari NOI. Pertama, Malcolm X lebih terkenal dan menjadi tokoh besar dalam gerakan NOI daripada Elijah Muhammad. Ketenarannya merangsang rasa iri dan rumor bahwa dia akan mengambil alih gerakan serta dia ingin lebih berhasil dari Elijah Muhammad. Kedua, kehidupan pribadi Elijah Muhammad yang terguncang oleh skandal perempuan. When the Corona virus pandemic became more serious, the pesantren made several responses to deal with the corona pandemic. This study wants to answer how pesantren in East Java take policies regarding holidays and return to pesantren during this pandemic. This study argues that large Islamic boarding schools are more responsive to the handling of covid-19 than small pesantren. This research found at least two things; that Islamic boarding schools are advancing their Ramadan holiday schedules and postponing the schedule back to students, the second finding states that many pesantren do not meet the standards for handling covid-19 due to limited costs and pandemic literacy.Keywords: Pesantren, Policies, Covid-19Abstrak:  Saat pandemi Covid-19 dinyatakan resmi masuk ke Indonesia pada Februari 2020, Pesantren sedang menghadapi tradisi libur pesantren selama Ramadhan dan Idul Fitri. Saat pandemi virus Corona menjadi lebih serius, pihak pesantren kemudian melakukan beberapa respon untuk menghadapi pandemi corona tersebut. Penelitian ini ingin menjawab bagaimanakah pesantren di Jawa Timur mengambil kebijakan terkait masa libur dan kembali ke pesantren di masa pandemi ini.. Penelitian ini beragumen bahwa pesantren besar lebih responsif terhadap penanganan covid-19 dibanding pesantren kecil. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach and obtained data through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that Covid-19 had an impact on changes in the law of worship. however, in the change in law in worship, various different practices were found. There are community groups who continue to carry out worship routines in the mosque in congregation by carrying out according to Health protocols such as maintaining distance and wearing masks. There are also people who are resistant to legal changes so that they maintain the practice of worship as before before the pandemic. There are also people who situationally follow the state of practice carried out by the local community and there are also people who completely close places of worship. from these results indicate that not all people are subject to the changes in law that occurred during the pandemic so as to maintain the routine of worship rather than submit to the new law which results in endangering themselves. Keywords: Rasistency, Legal Change, Worship, Covid-19 Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji Covid-19 dan ibadah sebuah resistensi perubahan hukum islam dalam mempertahankan rutinitas ibadah. penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriktif  kualitatif dan memperoleh data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa C0vid-19 memberikan dampak terhadap perubahan ukum ibadah. namun dalam perubahan hukum dalam ibadah tersebut ditemukan berbagai praktik pengamalan yang berbeda. Terdapak kelompok masyarakat yang tetap menjalankan rutinitas beribadah dalam masjid secara berjamaah dengan menjalankan sesuai protokoler Kesehatan seperti menjaga jarak dan memakai masker. Juga terdapat masyarakat yang rasisten terhadap perubahan hukum sehingga mempertahankan raktik beribadah sebgaimana dulu sebelum pandemi. Therefore, almost all philosophers in every era and tradition have ethical thinking. This article explain the Islamic ethics in the contemporary era from one of the famous Islamic philosopher, that is Thabathaba’i. The basis of his ethics is the meaning of human and nature, also the way of thinking in shaping the concept of moral value. His individual ethics rests on concept of wujub and the social ethics rests on concept of istikhdam.    Key Word: Etic, Thabathaba’i, Wujub, Istikhdam.Abstrak: Etika merupakan cabang filsafat yang mengkaji tentang moralitas, yaitu perbuatan manusia dari sudut pandang baik-buruk dan benar-salah. Pembahasan mengenai etika sendiri telah ada sejak filsafat itu lahir. Oleh sebab itu, hampir semua filsuf dari setiap zaman dan tradisi memiliki pemikiran tentang etika. Hal yang difokuskan dalam artikel ini adalah etika Islam di era kontemporer dari salah satu filsuf Iran yang termasyhur, yaitu Thabathaba’i. Bangunan  etikanya berangkat dari pemaknaannya terhadap alam dan manusia juga bagaimana pikiran manusia mengkonsepkan nilai baik dan buruk dalam perbuatan. Etika individualnya bertumpu pada konsep wujub, sedangkan etika sosialnya bertumpu pada konsep istikhdam. Only, when the Qur'an in consumption by the public, the book is undergoing a paradigm shift so treated, diresepsi, and expressed vary according to the knowledge and belief respectively. The expression, of a concrete indicator that the Koran is a holy book that is always in tune with the situation and the condition (s}a>lih{ li kulli zama>n wa maka>n). The reception-style models and even now continues to be expressed and preserved by a large family of Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School Rawalo Banyumas. This study aims to find out the reception of the Qur'an in the boarding school, as well as trying to understand the meaning inherent in it. This study was designed with qualitative method and included in the research field. In obtaining the data, the researchers use an instrument that is in-depth interviews, observation, and study of the relevant documents. The analysis used by researchers is, as submitted by Mohd. Soehadha, ie the reduction of data, display of data, and conclusion. In clarifying the validity of the data, researchers conducted the extension of participation, and triangulation of sources and methods. From the research conducted, the results obtained are: (1) diversity reception of the Qur'an in Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School Rawalo Banyumas, among others: (a) reception exegesis of the Qur'an in the recitation Book Jalalain; (b) the aesthetic reception of the Qur'an contained in calligraphy at the hostel students and ndalem caregivers; (c) functional reception of the Qur'an manifested in the tradition of the reading of Al-Wa> qi'ah and Ya>si>n; and (d) reception eternalitas Qur'an embodied in various practices of preservation of the Qur'an, such as deposit bi al-naz{ri and bi al-hifz{i, sima'an, and mura> ja'ah. (2) The meanings inherent in the diversity reception, among others: objective meaning, the meaning of expressive and documentary meaning. Objective meaning conclude that behavioral diversity reception in the boarding school is as a symbol of obedience and reverence to the rules cottage. Expressive meaning is as a form of internalization yourself with positive things through the process of learning the Qur'an continuity and meaning to his documentary is a form of local contextualization of the cultural system overall.Keywords: Reception, Al-Quran and Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding school.Abstrak: Al-Qur’an sejatinya merupakan kitab suci yang berisi ajaran-ajaran moral sebagai huda—petunjuk—bagi manusia ke jalan yang benar. This concept refers to the subordinative position because the relationship between men and women reflects powerless and powerful or the inequality of power between the two. This paper aims to understand how the Nuurus Sakiinah Bureau owned by 'Aisyiyah and Nasyi'atul' Aisyiyah Yogyakarta Special Region handles domestic violence cases in Yogyakarta and analyze the weaknesses and strengths of handling these cases. This type of research is qualitative with interview data collection methods and secondary data documentation. The findings of this study explain that there are four types of domestic violence cases that have been handled by the Nuurus Sakiinnah Family Consultation Bureau, namely psychological violence, economic neglect; physical and verbal abuse. Therefore, the handling given varies according to the case that occurs. For cases of Psychic violence, the Bureau tends to provide counseling and self-reinforcement. For cases of economic neglect, the Bureau deals with economic independence counseling and training. For cases of Physical and Verbal violence, counseling and self-strengthening are usually given to face the next life and therapy if needed. Meanwhile, the absence of open houses, difficulties in mediation, and the absence of complete counseling data to support administration are the weaknesses of this bureau. However, this Bureau makes victims who have successfully passed the treatment process as volunteers to deal with other victims and also provides spiritual counseling, legal assistance and follow-up therapy when the victim is still in need.Keywords: Domestic Violence, ‘Aisyiyah Nasyi’atul, ‘Aisyiyah, Nuurus Saqinnah Bureau. Abstrak: Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) dipahami sebagai kekerasan yang berhubungan gender. Konsep ini mengacu pada posisi subordinatif karena relasi antara laki-laki dan perempuan mencerminkan powerless dan powerful atau ketimpangan kekuasaan antara keduanya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana Biro Nuurus Sakiinah milik ‘Aisyiyah dan Nasyi’atul ‘Aisyiyah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta menangani kasus KDRT di Yogyakarta serta menganalisa kelemahan dan kelebihan dari penanganan kasus tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data wawancara dan data sekunder dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa terdapat empat jenis kasus KDRT yang telah ditangani oleh Biro Konsultasi Keluarga Nuurus Sakiinnah, yaitu kekerasan Psikis, penelantaran ekonomi; kekerasan fisik dan kekerasan verbal. Oleh karena itu, penanganan yang diberikan berbeda-beda sesuai dengan  kasus yang terjadi. Untuk kasus kekerasan Psikis, Biro cenderung memberikan konseling dan penguatan diri. It is a discussion that takes a certain theme in the Qur'an and will only be limited by mufassir (a figure). By conducting research on the figures of his work, taking his thoughts and understanding comprehensively, namely Imam Fakhr al-Din al-Razi. A step that will be taken is to collect the verses of the Qur’an which talks about colour, then thoroughly explore how the interpretation is made by Imam al-Razi related to these verses.Keywords: Colour, interpretation. {"title":"SEJARAH KAMPUNG PONDOL DAN KOMUNITAS EKSIL MUSLIM DI KOTA MANADO","authors":"R. A. C. Kembuan","doi":"10.30984/AJIP.V5I2.1370","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30984/AJIP.V5I2.1370","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract: This research discusses the process of forming and developing of Pondol village in Manado as a location for exile along with the Dutch colonial government policy that placed exiles who came from several sultanates in Java in the Manado Residency during the 19th century. The discussion includes, first, the background of the exile of the Javanese aristocrats in Manado. Second, the process of establishing Pondol as a location for exile and its development during the XIX century, and third, the adaptations made by the exiles to adjust to their exile and the impact of their arrival on the Manado-Minahasa community. The historical method is used in this research, using colonial archives from the XIX century which are stored in the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, and local sources, especially manuscripts stored by their descendants in Manado and Java. The findings in this study are; Kampung Pondol was formed due to the isolation of Kanjeng Ratu Sekar Kedaton and Pangeran Suryeng Ingalaga and some of his followers originated from political intrigue that occurred in the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. Second, the reason why Kampung Pondol was chosen as the new location for exile by the Dutch colonial government for Javanese royal officials was different from the exile of other figures in Tondano and Tomohon. Third, the form of adaptation carried out by the exiles in Kampung Pondol Manado was marriage with women from Manado and relationships with Dutch people who lived around them.Keywords : Exile, Javanese Noble, Pondol Village, Adaptation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang proses terbentuk dan perkembangan kampung Pondol di Manado sebagai lokasi pengasingan seiring dengan kebijakan pemerintah kolonial Belanda yang menempatkan para eksil yang berasal dari beberapa kesultanan di Jawa di Karesidenan Manado pada sepanjang abad 19.  Pembahasannya meliputi; Pertama, Latar belakang pengasingan para bangsawan Jawa di Manado. Kedua, proses terbentuknya Pondol sebagai lokasi pengasingan dan perkembangannya selama abad XIX, dan Ketiga, adaptasi yang dilakukan para eksil untuk menyesuaikan diri di pengasingan serta dampak kedatangan mereka pada masyarakat Manado-Minahasa. Metode sejarah dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan mempergunakan sumber Arsip Kolonial kurun waktu abad ke XIX yang tersimpan di Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia,  dan sumber lokal terutama manuskrip yang tersimpan oleh keturunannya di Manado dan Jawa. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah; Kampung Pondol terbentuk karena Pengasingan Kanjeng Ratu Sekar Kedaton dan Pangeran Suryeng ingalaga dan beberapa pengikutnya berawal dari intrik politik yang terjadi di Kesultanan Yogyakarta. Kedua, alasan Kampung Pondol dipilih sebagai lokasi baru pengasingan Pemerintah Kolonial Belanda bagi pembesar kerajaan Jawa yang berbeda lokasi dengan pengasingan tokoh-tokoh lainnya di Tondano dan Tomohon. Very few maintained their Muslim identities because the harsh conditions of slavery. Revitalization movements relying on Muslim symbolism emerged in the early 20th century. They were primarily concerned with the struggle against racism and oppression. The Moorish Science Temple of American and the Nation of Islam are the two most important of these movement. The haj was a transformative experience for Nation of Islam leaders Malcom X and Muhammad Ali. Realization that Islam is an inclusive faith that does not condone racism led both of them towards mainstream Sunni Islam and for Muhammad Ali to Sufi religious pluralism.Keywords: Nation of Islam, Moorish Science Temple, Revitalization Movement, Malcom X, Muhammad Ali. Abstract: Sejarah Islam di Amerika sudah berakar sejak abad ke 18 dan awal 19, ketika belasan ribu budak dari Afrika dibawa ke wilayah yang sekarang bernama Amerika Serikat. Sangat sedikit di antara mereka yang mempertahankan identitasnya sebagai Muslim mengingat kondisi perbudakan yang sangat kejam dan tidak memungkinkan. Di awal abad 20, muncul-lah gerakan revitalisasi Islam. Utamanya, mereka berkonsentrasi pada gerakan perlawanan terhadap rasisme dan penindasan. The Moorish Science Temple of American dan the Nation of Islam adalah dua kelompok terpenting gerakan perlawanan tersebut. Perjalanan ibadah haji memberikan pengalaman transformatif bagi pimpinan kedua kelompok gerakan tersebut, yaitu Malcom X dan Muhammad Ali. Amid its growing popularity, some Muslims consider jilbab is the Muslimah fashion in accordance with Islamic sharia. Some other Muslims consider jilbab is only  an Arab tradition and a cultural issue so that this group considers women not required to wear jilbab. The author focuses on the concept of Muslim fashion, the history of Muslimah dress, the pros and cons of Muslimah fashion and the phenomenon of Muslimah fashion in Indonesia. This research shows that Muslimah fashion in it varieties is a symbol of religiosity for its users. The use of Muslimah clothing is interpreted as one of the observances of Muslim women in practicing their religion, covering their “aurat.” Key Words: Muslimah Clothes, Headscarves, Prohibitions and Coercion in Muslimah ClothingAbstrak: Tren berbusana muslimah merupakan salah satu fenomena dalam masyarakat Muslim. Sebagian muslim menganggap berbusana muslimah harus sesuai syari’at Islam. Sebagian muslim yang lain menganggap persoalan busana muslimah hanyalah tradisi Arab dan merupakan persoalan budaya sehingga kelompok ini menggap wanita tidak wajib mengenakan busana muslimah. Atas dasar inilah penulis tertarik untuk meneliti tentang konsep busana muslimah, sejarah busana muslimah, pro-kontra busana muslimah dan Fenomena busana muslimah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa busana muslimah merupakan simbol religiusitas bagi penggunanya. Penggunaan busana muslimah dimaknai sebagai salah satu ketaatan muslimah dalam menjalankan agamanya, menutup aurat.
