Ndille","doi":"10.17583/HSE.2019.3828","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17583/HSE.2019.3828","url":null,"abstract":"Within the perspective of postcolonial state building in Africa and the quests to Africanize/indigenize, the study hinges on the education and manpower nexus to examine the state of preparedness of the Trust Territory of the Cameroons in the days leading to independence to establish an Indigenous civil service as the British and Nigerian colonial authorities were leaving the territory. It ascertains the nature and level of training as well as the sum of indigenous manpower that was on hand to take over the mantle of leadership as the territory gained independence. {"title":"Cuando la democracia volvió a la escuela: Participación política y movimiento estudiantil secundario en la Argentina de la transición (1982-1990)","authors":"M. Larrondo","doi":"10.17583/HSE.2019.3918","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17583/HSE.2019.3918","url":null,"abstract":"El articulo reconstruye y analiza los modos de intervencion politica, formas de organizacion, demandas y marcos de accion colectiva del movimiento estudiantil secundario y la participacion en las escuelas de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina) durante la transicion a la democracia. El trabajo ofrece un aporte original y sustancial en un campo del conocimiento que continua con una escasa produccion: la participacion estudiantil durante los anos ochenta. Esta problematica se constituye como una pieza central para la comprension de las formas de participacion politica juvenil durante ese periodo y los subsiguientes, principalmente en la Argentina pero tambien en la region. Metodologia: Se reconstruyeron las caracteristicas del movimiento estudiantil mediante testimonios (entrevistas a ex militantes) de modo combinado con fuentes periodisticas y archivos policiales bajo un enfoque de “historia reciente”. Conclusiones: El movimiento estudiantil secundario se reorganizo y logro construir demandas propias de la mano de las “reglas del juego democratico” (promovidas por el gobierno de la transicion) y a traves de las identidades politico partidarias y sus formas tipicas de organizacion. {"title":"‘Radioenseñanza’ an educational experience for adults through radio in Huelva at the end of Francoism","authors":"M. J. It was organised by the new broadcasting company ‘Radio Popular’ in collaboration with the local administration of the Ministry of Education at the end of Francoism. {"title":"Orden social, moral e instrucción pública. Pese a la similitud de su significado, en el concepto de educacion tiene mayor importancia la formacion moral, mientras en el de instruccion el aprendizaje de conocimientos. Estas diferencias plantearon distintas visiones politicas sobre cual era el mas pertinente de aplicar en la poblacion para conseguir el progreso social y la estabilidad politica. Para un sector de la elite politica, la instruccion no era pertinente para los sectores populares porque podia ser un factor de inestabilidad politica y social, por ello lo mejor para ellos era la educacion moral y asi mantener las jerarquias sociales. {"title":"Cultura física y deporte en el Ejército Popular. A traves del analisis textual e iconografico de 228 publicaciones ilustradas pertenecientes al conjunto de publicaciones conocido como prensa de guerra, trataremos de averiguar cuales fueron las causas que motivaron esta accion y en torno a que mensajes pedagogicos e iconologicos se estructuro dicha campana. Metodologicamente hemos recurrido al examen de fuentes primarias que nos revelan datos concretos sobre esta campana, y secundarias que nos permiten una lectura transversal y una mejor contextualizacion. La entidad conto con una red de escuelas de formacion, tales como la Escuela Primaria, la Escuela de Segunda Ensenanza, la Escuela de Institutrices y la Escuela de Bellas Artes, en las que se impartian Solfeo, Piano y Canto. La IEM insistio en la importancia de los estudios musicales, considerandolos una alternativa profesional para la mujer. In this context the schools of the Catholic Church have played and play a relevant role in the instruction of the elites of the country and in the provision of education to the displaced and refugee communities (3.58 million persons of concern of UNHCR in 2016). This article studies the development of these schools and their change of role along the following historical periods: the part of the Turco-Egyptian rule that corresponds with the foundation of the first Catholic Schools and the work of the great promotor of education in Sudan, Daniel Comboni (1843-1881); the Anglo-Egyptian Condominium which meant their expansion (1898-1956); and the Independent Sudan where they mainly focused on the service to displaced and refugees (1956-2017).
