Vietnam is one of the unique regions of Southeast Asia, in terms of the settlement of ancient populations of people, the evolution of their culture and the development of man himself, due to its geographical proximity to South China in the north, and during the existence of Sundaland, could serve as one of the transit territories migrations of ancient hominins. In the Gia Lai province in the area of the city of An Khe, the Russian-Vietnamese expedition discovered more than thirty Early Paleolithic sites with pebble-flake industry and bifacially worked tools such as hand axes. According to the tektites found in the cultural layer together with bifaces and pebble tools, two dates were obtained using the 40K/38Ar method: 806 22 thousand years ago and 782 20 thousand years ago These dates indicate that the Early Paleolithic industry discovered in Vietnam existed simultaneously with the industry in the Baise Basin in southern China. By use of instrumental phonetics, phonological description and comparative methods, the study presents the following results: (1) A description of tonal features of Quốc Oai using synchronic data; (2) A comparison of Quốc Oai with Thạch Thất tones and the urban H Nội tones to provide a broader view of H Ty tones; (3) A comparison of Quốc Oai tones with the tones of some neighboring Mường dialects in synchronous and chronological aspects, which help to establish a few details explaining the interesting nature of this dialect; (4) Finally, we also provide some interdisciplinary evidences to support the linguistic data. All kinds of data point to the idea that xứ Đoi, Ba V (including Quốc Oai in the past and present) is a mixed space of Việt-Mường culture. Ovcharov","doi":"10.54631/vs.2023.71-119835","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.54631/vs.2023.71-119835","url":null,"abstract":"The article discusses the features of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam in the context of the theory and methodology for identifying the effects of financial contagion. The Vietnamese economy in the 2000 demonstrated steady growth, which allowed minimizing many of the negative consequences of the pandemic. At the same time, the Vietnamese economy was exposed to financial contagion the effects of the transmission of negative shocks from other countries and the subsequent spread between sectors of the national economy. These effects during the pandemic have been empirically confirmed. For this purpose, special tests and an extensive information base on the stock market were used. The results showed that Vietnam was exposed to pandemic shock from China, but was not a transmitter of financial contagion for other Asian countries. The article shows the vicissitudes of these negotiations, which lasted almost 5 years as a result of the fact that the United States stubbornly tried to force the DRV and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam to accept the American terms of the future agreement. \u0000The author analyzes the main reasons for the successful completion of lengthy negotiations and signing аn agreement that meets the fundamental interests of the Vietnamese people. Among them, he names the decisive role of the political and diplomatic efforts of the Soviet Union and in this connection, expresses regret that in recent years these efforts have been assessed somewhat differently in Vietnamese historiography. In 2015, the Vietnamese government tasked the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences with coordinating the implementation of the \"Research on the archaeological sites of Oc Eo Ba The, Nen Chua (Oc Eo Culture in Southern Region)\" project. This is the most extensive scientific project that has ever been conducted in Vietnam regarding the investigation of Oc Eo culture. Three leading units in the field of archaeology participated in this project: the Institute of Imperial Citadel Studies, the Institute of Archaeology, and the Institute of Social Sciences in the Southern region. The primary objective of the Project is to excavate and study the remains of the Oc Eo culture at the sites in Oc Eo Ba The (Thoai Son district, An Giang province) and the Nen Chua (Hon Dat district, Kien Giang province) in order to collect data and clarify the history of the formation and development of the Oc Eo culture, as well as to investigate the position, function, and significance of the ancient city of Oc Eo. \u0000After nearly four years of the project, many significant new results and vivid evidence of the formation and brilliant development of the Oc Eo culture from the first century CE to the eighth century CE have been obtained. India and Vietnam, among others, were involved in the US-China confrontation. Both of these states have disagreements with the PRC, but at the same time, cooperation with Beijing is an objective necessity for them. Under the circumstances, Hanoi and New Delhi are not only ready to balance Chinas rising power in the Asia-Pacific by strengthening ties with the US, but are also developing their own partnership networks beyond the great powers. \u0000This article examines the geostrategic aspects of cooperation between Hanoi and New Delhi. Special attention was paid to trade, economic and defense ties of both countries. At the same time, the paper provides an analysis of the Indian-Vietnamese partnership in the context of territorial disputes in the South China Sea.
