Due to the high unemployment rate among disabled people, analysis, and solutions to increase access to work are necessary. Remote workers must deal with space, time, and the blurring of boundaries between home and work life. Remote contact also weakens management-coworker relationships, reducing workplace support and professional development. The aim of the paper was to collect opinions on remote work based on interviews with 15 people with disabilities. Their opinions expressed their experience with the reality in which they function. Dual Sentiment Analysis was used with a dedicated qualitative analysis tool (QDA MINER). The respondents mainly described remote work as having good working conditions at home and being satisfied with less contact with others. Our findings suggest that organizing remote work for people with disabilities in a highly individualized way that takes into account their disabilities, job functions, and complex emotional responses can improve job satisfaction and the work environment. Based on previous research, higher concerns toward and lower acceptance of robots were predicted for women, people performing manual and manual work, and people who are not familiar with robotics. The hypotheses were only partially confirmed. Orientation in the field of robotics is conducive to greater acceptance of the presence of robots in trust works professions. Unexpectedly, it turned out that people who declared performing physical work, compared to people performing other types of tasks, have a more affirmative attitude to the participation of robots in customer service occupations and to accept the autonomy of the robot to a higher degree. The results also showed that women are more concerned about the increased presence of robots in the labour market and less accepting of the replacement of humans by robots and the greater autonomy of intelligent machines. Reliability, as well as factorial and convergent validity, were analyzed. A total sample size of 145 parents during cancer treatment (parents of children aged 18 years or younger at the time of the survey) participated in the study. The study was an online survey method conducted between January 2019 and December 2021. Parents were sent a survey link and were requested to fill the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), the Parenting Stress Index (PSI-3-SF), the SF-36v2 Health Survey (SF-36v2), and the Family Resilience Assessment Scale (FRAS). The author received permission for using these questionnaires in online research. Confirmatory factor analysis of the Polish version of the Parenting Concerns Questionnaire did not confirm the original three-factor structure. However, the standardized factor loadings for the three factors were moderate to high. Additionally, apart from high-reliability estimates, this instrument proved to have good convergent and discriminant validity for all three factors. The PCQ-PL demonstrated adequate convergent validity with expected correlations with parenting stress, perceived stress, quality of life, and family resilience. The results suggest that the PCQ-PL is a reliable and relatively valid measurement tool to evaluate the level of parental concerns in Polish patients. Our experiments used Cued Speech, a method ‎designed for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. We expected that the principles of the ‎method might also be beneficial for people with normal hearing because they may help distinguish ‎the sounds of foreign speech that are difficult to hear. This study mainly focused on the effects ‎of speech perception. We tested 126 Polish junior high school students (66 girls and 60 boys) ‎with a normal range of phonemic hearing and language aptitude. We envisaged that foreign ‎language learners using visual speech cues would achieve a higher score on a test of foreign ‎language than learners who had studied the language in the traditional manner. We also ‎formulated a hypothesis concerning the interaction of training type and training conditions on the ‎effectiveness of foreign language learning: that the difference in the effects of foreign language ‎learning between participants who received visual or executive training and typical training would ‎be more significant in the presence of auditory distractors than in their absence. We observed ‎interactions between conditions and types of training for speech sound identification. The current research project aimed to replicate this result, using a shortened version of the scale, whose psychometric superiority over the full version has been supported by previous studies. For this purpose, in Study 1 the psychometric properties of the Polish version of the CM (CM-PL) were analyzed; the results supported its unidimensional structure and measurement invariance across gender groups, as well as good internal consistency. Study 1 also provided preliminary evidence of the convergent, concurrent and divergent validity of CM-PL, showing its relation to resilience, grit, risk-taking and the Big Five personality traits. In Study 2, 31 participants with an elevated fear of spiders completed a behavioral approach test in which they moved ever closer to a display of taxidermied spiders. The results showed that the CM-PL significantly moderated the relationship between anxiety/distress and the behavioral approach, confirming its relation to real behavior. The mechanisms of its development are most often explained using the cognitive model of trauma processing. The aim of the research is to determine how disturbances of core beliefs and cognitive processing in the form of coping with stress are associated with secondary traumatic stress (STS) and secondary posttraumatic growth (SPTG). The study was conducted among psychologists and social workers (N = 240), working with people after traumatic experiences. Four standardized measurement tools were used. Based on the differential diagnosis, four types of consequences were identified. Discriminant analysis was used to establish the optimal configuration of predictors explaining the differences between the four subgroups. Two significant discriminant functions were significant, each identifies different beliefs and coping strategies. The first is associated with the disruptions of core beliefs about the world and cognitive processing in the form of a non-adaptive strategy; the second—with disturbed beliefs about oneself and adaptation strategies. Our results show a much greater exposure of social workers to the negative consequences of secondary traumatic stress disorder. Determining the conditions for the assignment of MS to artificially intelligent agents is important from the point of view of their inclusion in the moral community. The indication of the role of beliefs about the mind and the soul is consistent with the tendency to distinguish these two incorporeal entities observed in folk psychology. In an online study, participants (N = 223), who believed in the existence of the mind and the soul, assessed the MS of the HR Sophia and assigned attributes to it; based on this, two dimensions of the mind perception (MP) were distinguished: Experience and Agency. As expected, we found that the participants attributed the mind more than the soul to the robot, and these projections significantly affected the MS of the robot. Path analysis revealed that the dimensions of MP acted as a mediator in the mind-MS relationship, while the soul-MS relationship was direct.
