A combinational part of a sequential circuit is examined. Its behavior is represented with a composition of ROBDD-graphs and monotonous products. The method provides fully delay testability of a combinational part of a sequential circuit. It is oriented to cut down the path lengths of the obtained circuits. Experimental results are given that demonstrate advantages of the method. The possibilities of further structural minimization of the circuits are discussed.","PeriodicalId":348260,"journal":{"name":"2014 14th Biennial Baltic Electronic Conference (BEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129097534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the installation of monitoring hardware directly on the machinery may be hazardous and expensive due to installation costs, the use of contactless sensors is preferable. In this paper we propose a solution for machinery monitoring based on multi-channel acoustic information analysis. We apply large aperture microphone arrays, perform machine noise source localization using the SRP-PHAT method and classify machine acoustical patterns by means of fuzzy rule-based classification. The results of experiments, performed in an industrial setting, indicate the feasibility of our solution in real conditions.","PeriodicalId":348260,"journal":{"name":"2014 14th Biennial Baltic Electronic Conference (BEC)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134046428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The electrical properties of the conductive inks and pigments are valued. The conductivity of the modern pigments is enough to transmit small signals in the wearable and flexible electronics. One of them is the pigment which consists of metal particles. A direct current (DC) resistance of the pigment layer is a few ohms/sq. We decided to use this pigment for design of flexible antenna. The microstrip patch antenna was created. The antenna was designed for operating in the 868 MHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band for short range communication to transmit the wearer's body temperature to a nearby base station. We made some electrical tests. The conductive layer parameters of the antenna were characterized by using the microstrip resonator method. The test shows quite low Q-factor of the antenna. It means that resistance of the pigments is too high for using it as the antenna conductor. Also, we measured microwave reflection and transmission coefficients of the pigment layer by using waveguide method. The results of the tests show that the pigments can be used as additional shielding to protect user from electromagnetic radiation of the wearable antenna.","PeriodicalId":348260,"journal":{"name":"2014 14th Biennial Baltic Electronic Conference (BEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123838368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New services can be spread using various technologies, such as Web and DVB. However, the qualitative parameters of services for individual technologies are different. As it is known, the qualitative parameters for digital TV are regulated by the ITU and ETSI recommendations. However, rapid development of different technologies integration leads to creation of common criterions for quality of service and metrics for their evaluation. It is known that the qualitative parameters for audio/video content consist of two components - objective and subjective. DTV operators are faced with a difficult task - how to match the requirements of broadcast parameters to ensure the required quality of experience (QoE) to the end user optimizing transmission parameters related to quality of service (QoS). The aim of this work is to create an integral and statistically confident subjective criterion representing QoE, which depends on any set of objective parameters related with different technologies and representing QoS.","PeriodicalId":348260,"journal":{"name":"2014 14th Biennial Baltic Electronic Conference (BEC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126595821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the fact that different surfaces reflect light in different ways the laser line on captured images is not always with constant width. The line width is also depending of the laser optics used. In 3D laser line scanners a correct detection of laser line is essential, because the laser line extraction accuracy affects greatly the precision of the developed 3D laser scanner. In this paper a method to use different standard deviations for inverted second order Gaussian derivative convolution mask to find the optimal standard deviation for every line section has been proposed. The results show a great dependency between standard deviation of the convolution kernel and laser line width. The experiments show that the optimal standard deviation of the convolution kernel is not constant over the whole laser line. Furthermore the optimal standard deviation for every line section reduces the uncertainties that were caused by the unknown laser line width.","PeriodicalId":348260,"journal":{"name":"2014 14th Biennial Baltic Electronic Conference (BEC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125982697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The critical paths can be specified e.g. by static timing analysis (STA), dynamic timing analysis (DTA) and others. Many parameters such as multiple input switching, power supply noise, type of propagated signal edge (rising, falling) and others affecting the signal delay propagation and thus they can increase path criticality. The impact of each parameter to the path delay faults has been solved and published in some papers but their joint effects should be also investigated. A new general technique for path criticality calculation based on influence of multiple parameters, STA and new defined formula for path criticality calculation has been proposed.
