From an analysis on heterogeneous sample of people linked to start-ups and spin-offs of University of Salento, several issues of entrepreneurial context are emerged. The framework proposed, leveraging on triple helix approach, foresees work's paths in which three helices acting synergistically and hold the operational procedures coming from four models of business ecosystem. Additionally, we take into account the business environment's dynamicity, encompassing evolutionary paths able to support the business evolution of a single business unit (and related Technology Readiness Level) that operate in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The framework aims at guaranteeing sustainability to the business ecosystem network and allowing to each actor the possibility to change its modus operandi depending on the change that happens. The framework proposed was applied to create a \"control cabin\" able to manage the entrepreneurial ecosystem of spin-offs and start-ups of University of Salento. This allows us to investigate about the research hypothesis and obtain a first assessment of the framework's goodness.","PeriodicalId":341512,"journal":{"name":"2018 7th International Conference on Industrial Technology and Management (ICITM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129735023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach is to use Center of Gravity Method to locate the central locations of the facility. This equality would reflect balance and minimum time and cost. The main variables to be considered in the systems are customer's distance, customer's demands and transportation rates. In general, firms which apply technologies will perform significantly better than those that do not. This leads to the development of a mobile app to identify best location for a single facility which will serve several demand centers. After the development of a mobile app, this undergoes testing which includes verification whether the mobile app will provide the same result in theoretical computations. The study confirms that the mobile app is consistent with the theoretical computations for location planning. This mobile app becomes a decision support system suggesting that they can access this mobile app to improve the firm's performance on decision making. A faster and effective decision making since instead of manual computation which will take time, the computation will be in a few seconds plus you could visualize the geographic areas being investigated. Moreover, the mobile app is practical to implement because it is flexible and easy to use. The data needed is easy to gather. The mobile app can generate up to 100 iterations to ensure that global maxima is obtained.","PeriodicalId":341512,"journal":{"name":"2018 7th International Conference on Industrial Technology and Management (ICITM)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127969200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They enable SMEs to indicate supply chain strategies for strengthening more competitiveness and gaining more competitive advantages. There are numerous tools for assessing SMEs' performance along their supply chain activities, namely Generic decision support system to Leverage supply chain performance (GLE) of Boonsothonsatit (2017) [2], and Supply Chain Performance Assessment Tool (SCPAT) of Banomyong and Supatn (2011) [3]. However, both of the tools were regardless of the Order Penetration Point (OPP). Since, this type of iteration cannot be modeled by the basic transition matrix in a Markov Chain(MC). To do this, A Design Structure Matrix (DSM) is utilized and developed. DSM is a tool for illustrating different types of relationship among design activities. The proposed model enhanced Design Structure Matrix as a random variable to be used in a transition matrix of the MC. The DSM enables MC to include simultaneous transitions by extending the dimension of states in a transition matrix including concurrent transitions. In addition, it contributes designers to estimate required time for completing design activities through calculating iterations. At the end, the proposed model is applied in a case study with concurrent information transfer among coupled design activities. Firstly, assumed that the equipment failure rate obeys Weibull distribution. The sum of equipment maintenance cost, labor cost and part processing cost is the cost of production scheduling. The optimization model is established by minimizing the makespan and minimizing the cost of production scheduling; Secondly, genetic algorithm is improved by adding a cloud model generator. Most of the literature in this area attempt to use statistical method to investigate the relationship of CSR to various firm performance indexes such as stock price, cost of capital, and return on asset. However, most of the works have low adjusted R square value due to the complexity of problem which leads to validity of the conclusion derived from that model. This paper presents the application of artificial neural network (ANN), one of the machine learning tools capable of modeling complex and non-linear relationship between variables. In this work, data from Thai companies listed in Market for Alternative Investment (mai) were used to train ANN. The trained ANN achieved significantly high adjusted R square value comparing with the statistical method.","PeriodicalId":341512,"journal":{"name":"2018 7th International Conference on Industrial Technology and Management (ICITM)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115552527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
