Many of them have deteriorated and their maintenance, especially replacement, has become a large issue in Japan. The plant consists of many different types of equipment. Each of them has its own lifespan. The lifespan has uncertainty. A method is proposed to schedule the replacement of equipment under uncertainty, considering the two properties of rationality and robustness. The rationality means that the schedule is logical and feasible. It is evaluated by the replacement cost in the scheduling period under the constraints of the reliability and annual cost. The robustness means that the schedule is hard to be affected by the uncertainty of the equipment lifespan. It is evaluated by the expected value of the time difference between the actual replacement and the scheduled replacement based on the probability distribution of equipment lifespan. The problem is modeled as a multi-objective optimization one on the rationality and the robustness of the schedule. Pareto optimal solutions are derived. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by case studies based on the practical conditions. The characteristics of Pareto optimal solutions are made clear by comparing non Pareto optimal ones. In the proposed model, many ideas are taken into consideration in different discrete time intervals during screening process. Evaluation of ideas are based on iterative intuition decisions made by different teams. The degree of uncertainty, dependency, interdependency among ideas and modularity are the four variables which influence scoring process. A Design Structure Matrix (DSM) is developed to manage dependency relations among ideas during FFE. The model dynamically evaluates ideas in order to select one or a group of ideas at the end of each interval. An objective function uses modularity concept to calculate different portfolio of ideas. Matias","doi":"10.1109/ICITM.2018.8333962","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICITM.2018.8333962","url":null,"abstract":"This paper aims to make a comparison between the logistics costs of buying Wood Pellets (WP) and Torrefied Biomass Pellets (TBP) produced in Portugal and exported to the major consumer markets of Northern Europe. The starting point was the determination of the value of a shipload of WP and TBP delivered to a North European port and loaded in Aveiro, the main Portuguese WP expeditor port. Torrefaction results in higher energy and bulk density pellets which contribute to increase the logistics costs associated with them. Several studies have shown that the loss of mass is greater than the loss of energy. These changes in bulk and energy densities are an advantage in terms of logistics. More tonnes per unit of volume and more energy per tonne will decrease the transportation cost per energy unit. This analysis determined the energy in gigajoules per tonne and all the comparisons were based on the cost per energy unit. Every governance is trying hard in the process of customer retention (Voice of The Customer VOC and Critical To Quality CTQ) by controlling costs and obtaining high productivity. A voluminous and significant measure of research article were referred in which all the papers concentrated one and only on the final product with some investigation on dimensional accuracy, which includes — Cycle time reduction, degree of doubt and the proper placement of the knuckle part. CMM (Cast Component Machining) is used for uncovering the dimension during improper and proper casting. An active control can minimize the impact. The hydraulic system of a pipeline is rather complex under leak condition, making it difficult to work out a plan for the optimal control scheme of pipeline's hydraulic devices. Researchers have proposed a series of methods to solve the optimal control scheme of a leak pipeline, few of which have taken complex transient process into consideration. The paper proposes a mixed-integer linear programming model to address the problem, and applies the branch and bound algorithm for model solution. The objective of the model is to find out an optimal control scheme to reduce the leakage volume to minimum. The transient process, hydraulic constraints, device constraints and flow rate constraints are considered in the model and the branch and bound algorithm is used to solve the model. When it is possible to measure or compare inputs and outputs, statistical tools such as control charts are useful for evaluating the degree of compliance achieved with respect to specifications. Statistical process control (SPC) assists the quality experts and engineers to raise the quality of the products through the reduction of the process variability. In SPC, statistical techniques are utilized to identify and monitor special cause events. The SPC is a method for error avoidance instead of error detection. A study of a case study of automotive small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) in Portugal in which SPC is applied is made in this paper. At the factory the normality test employed in the SPC chart is the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (K-S). When the control chart is analysed it shows that the process is centred, thus satisfying the quality compliance requirements. At the same time, the K-S test confirms that the recorded data trail a normal distribution. While the Shapiro-Wilk test is a more accurate normality test it could give a different answer by substituting the K-S test. However, the traditional assembly line balancing mostly optimizes the single objective ignoring the relationships between each other. Therefore, through the transformation of assembly sequence, a multiple objective mathematical model of the U-type assembly line is established based on the present analysis of enterprise assembly line process by maximizing the balance efficiency, optimizing the workstation load and increasing capacity. Then, the mathematical model is solved by lingo software to find the global optimal solution. The conventional single-loop protocol utilizes trucks to directly carry cane between farms and the mill. The double-loop uses tractors and trailers to carry sugarcane from farms to a transshipment area and use another dedicated set of tractors to transport fully loaded trailers from transshipment area to the mill. The simulation was run for different number of vehicles to find the optimal number of vehicles for each farms. Different location of transshipment area is altered to study its effect in double­loop case. Therefore, this article combines the recent hot issues in the society — Jiangsu province college entrance examination recruit event, reduction of education investment of human capital equity issues. This paper through the analysis of current society's emphasis on education human capital leads to the necessity of research on human capital investment in education fairness problem. Then this paper introduces the overview of the research object, the concept of human capital investment, education, human capital investment concept, education investment of human capital characteristics, education of human capital investment, education investment of human capital measurement methods and education importance of human capital investment. Then through introduction and analysis of the Jiangsu province college entrance examination recruit event reduction, shows that today's society to the attention of education fairness and the violent reaction, the derivation below education investment of human capital status quo. Congo River Basin plays an active role in the economy of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and other surrounding countries such as Central Africa Republic (CAR) and Congo Republic (RC). This inter-countries waterway carries approximately two third of the national's cargo volume to and fro hinterland. Up till now there is little or no regulation on the management of marine traffic on this important inland waterway. The problem of traffic management on Congo River is becoming an increasing threat to the transportation of goods by the ships, barges and safety of passenger lives. Marine radar systems has been deemed as possible solution that will monitor and track traffic situation on this important inland water way. A radar system provides a surveillance system that increases intelligent capacity of what transpires on this great waterway. It also provides real-time information and stored captured radar images which will be applied to solve traffic problems. To investigate this, radar simulation model will be setup to depict the traffic flow and the consequences of the presence or absence of surveillance radar. The goal of this research is to improve traffic coordination, safety, management and improve intelligent capability with the use of Marine Radar monitoring system to control and alleviate traffic management bottleneck experienced on Congo River. It will further demonstrate economic efficiency of the radar surveillance system on Congo River Basin.
