Under the guidance of advanced thoughts and culture, we use innovative means to unify and coordinate various resources on campus, propose an implementation plan of the three-in-one network public opinion rapid response mechanism including hierarchical monitoring and reporting system, rapid emergency response mechanism and offline communication and education. It is of great significance to strengthen the construction of network team, consolidate the multi-department cooperation, improve the timeliness of ideological and political education and promote the self-education of college students. Introduction At present, colleges and universities always have a excellent campus network, which has information distribution, campus communication and other functions, and has been an online platform where college students can freely comment, express their opinions. Furthermore, it has profoundly affect the interpersonal communication and thinking mode in study and life of college students nowadays. It is precisely because of this new media that some major events and emergencies at home and abroad usually appear in the latest form and at the fastest speed, which would arouse wide attention of college students, form a large number of discussions and continue fermentation. Once these discussions and opinions finally form a clear attitude and be widely concerned, university network public opinions would be formed. As we all know, the Internet is a double-edged sword. It is not only an important channel for college teachers and students to obtain information and exchange ideas, but also one of the best channels for all kinds of negative information dissemination in colleges and universities, as well as a hotbed of all kinds of harmful public opinions. Therefore, it not only brings great positive benefits to colleges and universities, but also has an adverse impact on the physical and mental health of college students and the stability of schools and society. It will also become the main battlefield of ideological and political work and national security work in colleges and universities. Existing Problems of Current Response Mechanism Colleges and universities are the \"barometer\" of national political stability and social harmony. There is no doubt about the importance of ideological education of network public opinion subject in colleges and universities. Through questionnaire survey and big data analysis of campus BBS, the formation process of network public opinion of colleges and universities can be summarized as follows: Firstly, some hot issues triggered the response and di","PeriodicalId":333655,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 International Conference on Advanced Education, Management and Humanities (AEMH 2019)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125193110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pan","doi":"10.2991/aemh-19.2019.39","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2991/aemh-19.2019.39","url":null,"abstract":"In a two-echelon supply chain consisting of a manufacturer and a retailer, the carbon emission reduction model is established for the scenario where manufacturer invests R&D for carbon emission reduction, retailer shares R&D cost, government implements carbon cap-and-trade policy, and consumers have a low-carbon-preference. This research compares the optimal profits, the total carbon emission reduction level (TCRL) in supply chain and product sales volume, and discusses the impact of stakeholder behavior on carbon emission reduction in supply chain. Introduction In the 21st century, a series of environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. To control the negative impact of economic activity on the climate and environment, governments around the world are exploring effective scientific policies, regulations and measures. Among them, the carbon cap-and-trade policy, as a market-based policy, has the most significant effect[1]. Many scholars have studied supply chain operation under a carbon cap-and-trade policy. Drake et al. (2016) investigated the influence of government behavior on supply chain operation problems where the firm makes the decision regarding the technology and production capacity. They found that, under the cap-and-trade policy, the expected profits of enterprise are greater, and the expected emissions of product are lower[2]. On this basis, Lin et al. (2018) studied production and technology choices under government emission regulation. They found that firms may produce more even though they do not use more green technology under a more stringent regulation (fewer allowances)[3]. Kartick et al. (2018) discussed the joint impact of manufacturer’s behavior and retailer’s behavior in two-period supply chain frameworks. They found that procurement decision of retailer is a key factor in green supply chain[4]. Chen et al. (2017) used a random auction experiment and a questionnaire to examine consumers behavior. They found that how consumers’ willingness to pay is influenced by carbon labels[5]. Going step further, Wang et al. (2016) focused on dyadic supply chain carbon emission reduction issues in an environment where consumers were assumed to be environmentally aware. They found that the cost-sharing contract can achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions[6]. In the existing literature, the study of the carbon emission reduction decision in the supply chain often involves the behavior of two or three players. In reality, the enterprises in supply chain, as well as the external government and consumers, influence the carbon emission reduction decision. In this paper, we consider the behavior of four players at the same time, which makes the model more similar to the actual situation, and the conclusion is more valuable. Model Description, Assumptions and Notations The manufacturer sells products through an independent retailer in a ‘low-carbon’ sensitive market. Cheng","doi":"10.2991/aemh-19.2019.20","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2991/aemh-19.2019.20","url":null,"abstract":"To explore the impact of corporate patent characteristics and patent strategic value on innovation performance, this study provides an empirical analysis of 339 automobile companies in China. The results show that the patent characteristics have a positive impact on the patent strategic value and innovation performance, and the impact of patent characteristics on innovation performance depends on the patent strategic value. This study also shows that when the corporate leadership supports innovation and have strong patent management capability, the patent characteristics and patent strategic value will have a stronger effect on innovation performance. Introduction From the perspective of the resource-based theory, patents can bring competitive advantages to companies because they are valuable, scarce, and difficult to be imitated or replaced[1]. In particular, high-quality patents are conducive to the improvement of companies’ innovation performance. For instance, patents with high citations can help boost companies’ market value[2]. However, the positive impact of high-quality patents on corporate performance may lag behind, and it also varies according to different industries and firm sizes[3-5]: the number of citations of a company’s patents and the company’s market value show a significant U-shaped correlation[4]. The number of citations of patents for invention is significantly conducive to corporate performance, but the patents that have been sustaining for many years are not significantly conducive to corporate performance[5]. Patent characteristics refer to indicators that characterize the quality of patents, including offensive, defensive, and influence characteristics[6]. Innovation performance is the result at organizational level that measures a company’s innovation output. The correlation between patent characteristics and innovation performance might be complex. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research on the impact of relevant mediating variables or moderator variables, such as patent strategic value, innovation support from the leadership, and patent management capability. Among them, patent strategic value refers to the competitive advantages and commercial interests created by enterprises in the broader time (long-term) and space (industrial chain) dimensions through using patents as they are driven by strategic motives. This study explores the impact of patents on innovation performance from two aspects, namely, patent characteristics and patent strategic value, constructs a research model that innovation performance is affected by patent characteristics and patent strategic value, analyzes the moderating effects of two variables, i.e. innovation support from the leadership and patent management capability, on patent characteristics & innovation performance, and patent strategic value & innovation performance, and finally conducts an empirical analysis of the automobile industry. The main goal of this paper is to examine the critical causal factors affecting public infrastructures projects performance in Ethiopia in order to improve the industry’s service delivery. Based on the 58 factors compiled through the analysis of existing theories and investigations, we prepared and distributed 700 structured survey questionnaires for professionals in the construction industry of Ethiopia; and received 578 (82.57 %) of them. The results from an extended statistical analysis on the collected data revealed that the top 8 critical specific factors affecting government-financed infrastructures projects performance in the Ethiopia comprehends: poor project planning & administration system, weak project management leadership skills & institutional capacity, inadequate project design, escalation of construction materials price, lack of integrated project planning system among parties, inadequate capacity of the contractor, poor project schedule and cost management system. The study has an implication for construction industry practitioners, government officials, and research fellows. Introduction Through promoting infrastructures investments, create job opportunities, and deeds as a major consumer of intermediate products, and related services from another business sector via its complex value chain; Construction Industry acts as an engine for socio-economic development of a nation[1, 2] [3-5]. However, the sector is troubled with numerous internal and external factors that hamper the productivity of the industry across the world. The critical of them include: its complex nature, ever regulation change ,unreliable contractor, high insurance cost, technology adoption limitation, management aspect, market price change, inadequate capacity both in finance and technique, labor shortages, stagnant productivity level and failing to delivery project as the intended time, cost and quality standards are belongs to the most constraints of this sector [6]. Consequently, nowadays, a construction project is characterized by inefficient and ineffective project delivery globally[7-11]. Due to the presence of varied underlying problems which affect industry productivity, the sector is characterized by underperformance [12-13]. Previous studies clarified diverse factors affecting the performance of the construction industry. Though, due to the rapid changes in everything in this world, there is still a wide gap to thoroughly understand the underlying problems caused by the underperformance of this sector [5, 14]. Ethiopia has no exception regarding problems associated with the construction industry performance. As the case in Ethiopia, conflict among project participants, the project manager’s ignorance and lack of knowledge and poor human resource management are the top factors hindering the schedule performance of public project","PeriodicalId":333655,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 International Conference on Advanced Education, Management and Humanities (AEMH 2019)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133851645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
