Engagement occurs when the fisherman builds a partnership and accept a work contract, as long as the contract has not been completed. The fisherman must provide the fish catch to the middle man before it is sold to the trader and then share the results according to the work agreement which is 10% to 20% for the middle man from the income of the fisherman. The absence of work contract restrictions makes the relationship so binding because fishermen must comply with the amba system 'or the prevailing norms. As a result, fishermen will continue to be bound to the middle man but, because the relationship is for capital needs, it requires fishermen to pay it to the middle man to be free from the employment contract. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the role of political capital in the relations of fishermen and the middle man. This research method is qualitative, supported by participant observation, and in-depth interviews to collect data. The results showed the existence of power in the work relations of fishermen and the middle man especially in the attitude of compliance, even showing the existence of work competition in the relationship. And each party is cheating work for more profit, whether it's from the fishermen themselves or the middle man. Artikel ini membahas tentang tindakan kuasa atau penggunaan kekuasaan dalam relasi kerja nelayan dan pangamba’ di Pondok Mimbo. Keterikatan terjadi ketika nelayan membangun kerja sama dan menyepakati kontrak kerja dengan pangamba’, tselama kontrak belum selesai maka nelayan harus memberikan hasil tangkapan ikan kepada pangamba’ sebelum di jual ke pedagang yang kemudian dilakukan pembagian hasil sesuai kesepakatan kerja yaitu 10% hingga 20% untuk pangamba’ dari hasil pendapatan nelayan. Tidak adanya batasan kontrak kerja menjadikan relasi tersebut begitu mengikat, karena nelayan harus mematuhi sistim amba’ atau norma yang berlaku. Alhasil, nelayan akan terus terikat dengan pangamba’ namun, karena relasi tersebut untuk kebutuhan modal, mengharuskan nelayan untuk melunasinya kepada pangamba’ agar dapat lepas dari kontrak kerja tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran kapital politik dalam relasi nelayan dan pangamba’. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, didukung dengan melakukan observasi partisipan dan wawancara mendalam untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya kekuasaan dalam relasi kerja nelayan dan pangamba’, terutama pada sikap kepatuhan, bahkan menunjukan adanya persaingan kerja dalam relasi tersebut. Selanjurnya, penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing pihak melakukan kecurangan kerja demi keuntungan yang lebih, entah itu dari diri nelayan maupun pangamba’. By using Foucault's Genaology, the insights and values they adopt one by one must be dismantled to see what logic they are constructs. This research using qualitative method with fenomenology approach, which used foucoult framework abour sex and power. It can be said, in this research found various discourses reproduced by various sources of youth knowledge regarding the myth of masculinity which is identical to the characteristics and behavior of men who are strong, aggressive, dominant, rude, and full of egoism. In practice, they myth that their various behaviors, especially regarding their sexuality, are a manifestation of their masculinity as a male. The internet or online media and the environment in which they live are one of the sources of knowledge for young people that create discourses about the myth of masculinity. The youth in the peer group also take part in formulating discourses about ideal masculinity for their group. Free sex behavior, dare to take risks, follow wild races to cause chaos are the masculinity myths they adopt as the ideal male masculinity. This study also found that the masculinity myth was more often represented in youth sexual practices as an affirmation of control over women's bodies and sexuality in order to maintain their reputation in front of their friends and others. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membongkar bagaimana hadirnya diskursus maskulinitas pemuda pendatang di uluwatu Bali (basecamp). Dengan menggunakan Genaologi Foucault, pemahaman dan nilai yang mereka adopsi satu per satu harus dibongkar untuk melihat logika apa yang sebenarnya mereka bangun. Sehingga dapat ditemukan berbagai wacana yang direproduksi oleh berbagai sumber pengetahuan pemuda mengenai mitos maskulinitas diamana identik dengan sifat dan perilaku laki-laki kuat, agresif, dominatif, kasar, dan penuh egoisme. Dalam praktiknya mereka memitoskan beragam perilakunya terutama menyangkut seksualitasnya merupakan manifestasi dari maskulinitasnya sebagai laki-laki yang jantan. Internet atau media online serta lingkungan tempat tinggal mereka menjadi salah satu sumber pengetahuan pemuda yang menciptakan diskursus mengenai mitos maskulinitas tersebut. Para pemuda dalam peer groupnya juga mengambil bagian dalam merumuskan wacana-wacana mengenai maskulinitas ideal bagi kelompoknya. Perilaku seks bebas, berani mengambil resiko, mengikuti balap liar hingga menyebabkan keonaran merupakan mitos-mitos maskulinitas yang mereka adopsi sebagai maskulinitas laki-laki ideal. One of the consequences of technology misuse is the phenomenon of divorce due to an affair between husband and wife that can be recorded through social media. The purpose of this study seeks to know the efforts made in preventing divorce due to social media abuse in a Sociological perspective. This research uses qualitative research methods with phenomenological approach, data processing using Nvivo 12. The results showed that divorce due to social media abuse was triggered by an affair between the husband and wife through social media resulting in an ongoing altercation. Efforts to prevent divorce due to social media abuse are carried out by various parties such as efforts from couples not to divorce, families who seek to reconcile, courts that seek mediation, even the city government that actively provides socialization about family resilience rules, premarital education programs, mother's father's school program, and efforts to strengthen the functioning of the family. Efforts to prevent divorce due to social media abuse can be effectively supported by cooperation between institutions and all elements of society to strengthen family resilience Kemajuan teknologi bukan hanya berdampak positif bagi kehidupan manusia, tetapi penyalahgunaan teknologi dapat menimbulkan masalah sosial. Salah satu akibat penyalahgunaan teknologi menimbulkan fenomena maraknya perceraian akibat adanya perselingkuhan antara suami dan isteri yang dapat terekam lewat media sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan dalam mencegah perceraian akibat penyalahgunaan media sosial dalam perspektif Sosiologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, pengolahan data menggunakan Nvivo 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perceraian akibat penyalahgunaan media sosial dipicu karena adanya perselingkuhan antara suami isteri lewat media sosial sehingga membuat pertengkaran yang terjadi terus menerus. Upaya pencegahan perceraian akibat penyalahgunaan media sosial dilakukan oleh berbagai pihak diantaranya upaya dari pasangan agar tidak bercerai, pihak keluarga yang berupaya mendamaikan, pihak pengadilan yang berupaya melakukan mediasi, bahkan pemerintah kota yang giat memberikan sosialisasi tentang aturan ketahanan keluarga, program pendidikan pra nikah, program sekolah ayah bunda, dan berupaya memperkuat fungsi keluarga. Upaya pencegahan perceraian akibat penyalahgunaan media sosial dapat berjalan efektif didukung dengan adanya kerjasama antar institusi beserta semua elemen masyarakat untuk memperkuat ketahanan keluarga. This is because black people are often becomes victims of discriminatory acts by white people. White American society is difficult to assimilate black people, because the process enter of black people to the US was only as slave labor, so that the mindset of black people as second-class citizens was formed which became an attitude in social stratification in the US. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of racial discrimination and human rights and the settlement of legal cases that occur in the US. Based on literature review and material analysis from various scientific sources, it can be concluded that the US Government as a state administrator is also still implementing discriminatory policies, even the US, which we know as the originator and main pioneer of human rights in the world, has not ratified several legal policies related to the elimination of discrimination. Racism, racial discrimination and intolerance are serious threats to the social progress of the global community.Amerika Serikat memiliki sejarah kelam mengenai konflik rasial antara orang kulit putih dan orang kulit hitam selama kurang lebih tiga abad lamanya. Kasus yang terjadi terhadap orang kulit hitam bernama George Flyod di Amerika Serikat memiliki atensi yang sangat tinggi untuk masyarakat Amerika Serikat bahkan dunia. Hal tersebut dikarenakan orang kulit hitam sering kali menjadi korban tindakan diskriminatif orang kulit putih. Masyarakat kulit putih Amerika Serikat sulit untuk mengasimilasi orang kulit hitam, dikarenakan awal kedatangan orang kulit hitam ke Amerika Serikat hanya sebagai budak pekerja, sehingga terbentuk pola pikir mengenai orang kulit hitam sebagai warga negara kelas dua yang menjadi sebuah sikap dalam stratifikasi sosial di Amerika Serikat. Penelitian ini ingin menganalisis mengenai fenomena diskriminasi ras dan Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) serta penyelesaian kasus hukum yang terjadi di Amerika Serikat. Berdasarkan kajian literatur dan analisis materi dari berbagai sumber ilmiah dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pemerintah Amerika Serikat sebagai penyelenggara negara juga ternyata masih menerapkan kebijakan diskriminatif, bahkan Amerika Serikat yang kita kenal sebagai pencetus dan pelopor HAM di dunia belum meratifikasi beberapa kebijakan hukum terkait penghapusan diskriminasi. Globalization has brought changes in the social, political, economic, and cultural life of the people, especially for multicultural Indonesians. The swift flow of globalization that continues to move through various lines of life of people and reduce the borders of nations. Globalization will bring two consequences at the same time for the Indonesian cultural community, namely how the opportunities and threats of globalization to Indonesia's multicultural society. This study uses a literature study approach, where data and information relevant to the topic or problem are subject to study and compiled from various scientific sources and other sources. The theoritical framework used in this study is the theory of cultural homogenization. The results of this literature study indicate that the current of globalization will pose a threat as well as an opportunity for Indonesia's multicultural society. An opportunity that can be exploited is the emergence of a collective awareness about living together in differences that are co-existent. Meanwhile, the threat that needs to be watched out for is the strengthening of cultural homogenization that can erode and uproot the roots of local culture. The focus of program are farming and women empowerment where Bleberan village, Gunung Kidul regency as one of implementation area. The aim of research are, first, to learn the condition, potency, and the challenge of Saemaul Undong program implementation; second, to learn the participation process and the strategy chance of community empowerment. The method of research is qualitative evaluation by elaborating survey, literature review, interview, and focus group discussion. Qualitative analyse is done making deep description and survey analyse is matching the characteristic of result. The result showed that Saemaul Undong program implementation Bleberan village has good response and can bridging the relation between government and community in village farming development. Besides that, Saemaul Undong program also improved the spirit of self-quality development through sharing experience and knowledge. The consequents are persuasion process to make others people interest to this program quite hard. The strategy of capacity building of organization, access improvement, and infrastructure development, strengthening system capacity, improvement of skill and income is a form of collaboration and result of cooperation inter sector between village government and Saemaul Undong Global Foundation. This article explores strategy and hope of the future among youth in prison. This research uses qualitative methods combining observation, in-depth interviews and secondary data to gather relevant data. Despite living inside the prison, they still have hopes about their future. They strategically make plans to convert their on hand stock of capital in order to reach the ideal goal. They also have to convert their capitals effectively in order to negotiate with risk as a form of stigmatization. The joint prayer activities at the 'X' Sidoarjo Orphanage were routinely carried out by two main donors who at the same time became one of the main informants of this study. The purpose of this study is to know how to practice social exchange using the social exchange theory of George C. Homans. There are five propositions presented by Homans in his exchange theory which are the main discussion in this study. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with the subject of research as many as three main informants consisting of orphanage owners and two main donors to the orphanage. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that social exchanges that occur between orphanages and donors in prayer activities together wrap exchanges that are actually economic. Where, both donors carry out joint prayers as a manifestation of the implementation of CSR programs and the obligation to pay zakat. This then has the effect of peace of mind for the two donors over the fall of economic and religious obligations inherent in both. This principle, hoever, seems to confront or experience “turbulance” along with teh encreases of regional sentiments and majority and minority disparities. Fot instance, the emergance of intolerant groups has threatened the unity of nation. This problem that should be solved sice the proclamation of Indonesian independence in 1945 emerged due to the fact that the goverment has not touched the local wisdom of the community on how to maintain unity. Therefore, this papes aims at presenting the results or research (a case) with qualitiative methods. The data collection is carried out through field observation and indepth interview (unstructure interview). The results of this study indicate that the “pandhalungan community” in Sumberpakem Village Jember District has a strong social integrity about how to maintain unity. They have a cultural grip called a sangkolan, which is a concept of the ancetral heritage of the community on how to respect and appreciate people of difference religions. Morover, there is also the concept of “ taretan dhibik”, which is a glue or tie among residens. Although they have different religions, they consider others as “taretan dhibik” or they brothers.
