Thus, this study intends to develop an open-ended description test instrument, which is valid and has good question characteristics to measure the elementary school students’ divergent thinking skills. This study used a 4-D model defined by Thiagarajan. Data collection techniques employed test techniques, while data analysis discussed several things: define, design, develop, and disseminate. This study's findings resulted in the data that the open-ended test instrument became an effective and feasible measuring tool for assessing elementary school students’ divergent thinking skills. From the define stage, data were obtained that the teacher had problems developing the instrument and needed the right test instrument to improve divergent thinking skills. At the design stage, the open description test instrument was designed by taking into account design concepts, language concepts, and students' abilities. Furthermore, the development stage produced data that the open description test instrument effectively improved divergent thinking skills. Finally, the dissemination stage was carried out through dissemination in research partner schools.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132371544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to examine the blindsm behavior that can hinder the learning process in school. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentary studies, and interviews. The research subjects included 40 blind students and 20 low vision students from 3 special schools in Central Java. The data obtained was analysed by using descriptive data analysis. The results showed that 54 blind students (68,35%) had blindism behavior and 25 low vision students (31,65%) had blindism behavior. There are various forms of blindism behavior found and the most frequent is eye-pressing movements. The results of the interview also confirmed that the visually impaired with blindism behavior has concentration disturbance in learning. In other words, it has an impact on obstacles in understanding the teaching material delivered by the teacher. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the behavior of blindism is owned by almost every visually impaired person which causes children to experience lack of concentration and problems in social interaction barriers.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114225075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analysis of the needs of this learning model uses qualitative research. Data collection uses interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The research respondents were special assistant teachers and 1 class teacher at 6 inclusive schools in the city of Surakarta. This research is limited to the analysis of learning needs in the science learning process conducted in inclusive schools. The results of this study indicate that 83% of teachers in inclusive schools still use conventional method that is lecture method in delivering science material to students but they use student activity in evaluating their classes. The teacher distinguishes children with special needs from other regular children in giving assignments. 58% of teachers do not understand the STAD cooperative learning model. It can be concluded that the current learning in inclusive classes has not been able to accommodate the needs of characteristics of children with special needs in inclusive classes. It is proved by the learning achievements, especially the science learning achievements of children with special needs, which are lower than other children in their class. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a STAD learning model.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123812238","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Changes in the rhythm of daily life experienced by mothers greatly affect the pattern of mother-child relationships. This mother-child attachment needs to be observed because it will affect the development of children. This study aims to determine the condition of attachment that exists between children and their mothers during the covid-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were 52 pairs of children aged 4-5 years and their mothers, who are currently in the early stages of kindergarten. Research location in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. The research method used is a survey. Attachment data was obtained through filling out a questionnaire by the mother using the Kinship Center Attachment Questionnaire (KCAQ) which included 4 factors, namely Factor I Postive Adjustment / Development, namely the child's ability to cope with the conditions he faced; Factor II Negative Behavior, namely negative behavior that should not be done by children; factor III Emotional Reactivity, namely the emotional condition of children who do not feel alien to their parents/caregivers and factor IV Distancing From Caregiver Support, namely the emotional reaction of children to stay away from parents/caregivers. The data was processed descriptively using the SPSS program. Data analysis is done by comparing the average value of each factor in the attachment. The results showed that the average value of the factors from the highest to the lowest was factors I and III, followed by factors II and IV. The average value of factors I and III is higher when compared to the average value of factors II and IV, this condition implies that the attachments that children have are in a good category, because children already have the ability to cope with the conditions they face and feel closeness. with their parents/caregivers. The picture of attachment between mother and child as a result of this study shows that the closeness of mother and child has been well established during this COVID-19 pandemic. This condition is the main capital for parents/caregivers to continue to improve the achievement of optimal child development.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131885498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research respondents were six General Education Teachers (GE Teacher), in which two teachers had attended training as Special Education Teachers (SEN Teacher). The research method used was descriptive quantitative, with data collection techniques using a questionnaire containing 17 statements that had been tested for reliability. The aspects of the teaching and learning process studied were; 1) Roles of teachers, 2) Student involvement, 3) Learning materials, 4) Learning media, 5) Learning methods, and 6) Evaluation of learning. The results of observations using the Guttman scale showed a score of 51.8% which means the school is quite good in carrying out the teaching and learning process in the inclusive class but still showed a range far enough to reach the 100% target. Mutual commitment is needed between school members, experts, and parents to realize the teaching and learning process in schools which can ultimately help children achieve their learning goals and Teachers should have the willingness to adopt long-live learning to improve their skills to teach special children in the classroom.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134510321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses how teachers in Schools Providing Inclusive Education (SPIE) in Indonesia understand the genuine concept of inclusive education and practice it into daily basis science teaching and learning. A qualitative case study was applied and thirteen teachers from three SPIE in the Province of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta were selected purposively to share their thought and understanding towards the meaning of inclusive science education through semi-structured interviews. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive phenomenology approach of Giorgi's Method. Participants asserted that inclusion in science education means placing students with disabilities (SWD) in science classroom to be educated together with their peers, against the discrimination, with minimal understanding of ensuring SWD can access and participate to science learning. A clear commitment to inclusion has been indicated by all participants, however challenges and benefits of inclusion continue to arise, either for school's stakeholders and students (with and without disabilities). The findings also indicate the related policy initiative must be reviewed in order to be able to implement and align with the Indonesian inclusive education agenda.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114542881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Including also having an impact on vocational high schools, learning that was originally carried out in schools now has to take place with distance learning. This study examines the effect of interactive multimedia to enhance meaningful learning in the context of technical and vocational education and training schools. This research method uses a literature review, namely by finding sources that are relevant to the object of research. Even though learning is currently being carried out using distance learning, of course, teachers are still required to provide quality learning to achieve meaningful learning. The limitations of distance learning are a challenge for vocational high schools because the implementation of learning in vocational high schools is mostly carried out by work practices both in schools, places of business, and industry. Thus, the development and use of educational technology become important. One of the existing technologies is interactive multimedia. Interactive multimedia is a learning media that combines text, animated video, images, sound, and evaluation in learning media.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125045796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
