The Correlation Between Peer Social Interaction With Resilience In Student
Peer social interaction is an activity carried out by one or more individuals who have the same age level. Students who have good peer social interaction skills, have social competence, friendly attitude, can solve problems and rise from adversity or so-called resilience. his study aims to determine the relationship between peer social interaction and resilience in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a correlational design. The population in this study was 441 students, 30 students of class VIII C were used as a trial and 195 as the research sample. The data collection method used is proportional stratified random sampling. The data collection tool is in the form of a closed questionnaire. The construct validity test used the product-moment formula. The reliability test used the Cronbach Alpha formula and the data analysis technique used the product-moment. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between peer social interaction and resilience in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta with a correlation coefficient value of 0.552 and a significant level of 0.000 (p 0.05). The higher the peer social interaction, the higher the resilience, and vice versa.
