The paper explores the theory of social interaction as experienced by primary school students and how social interaction affects their learning performance at school. The writing of this paper is conducted by collecting various literature and study regarding the impact of social interaction among primary school students on their learning performance. There are indications and evidence that support the hypothesis that social interaction among primary school students does contribute positively to their learning performance in a classroom. One essential aspect of social interaction among primary school students that affect their learning performance is the existence and assistance of peers at school. This is also known as “peer effects''. Students are more likely to collaborate with high-achieving students for school matters. The high-achieving students can create positive contributions to a student's learning performance such as improving their academic achievement, career choices, and eventually labour market outcomes later in life. These “good” peers can also provide positive feedback to their friends regarding their capabilities and performance in a classroom. Therefore, social interaction among peers also have significant influences on a child's behaviour and personality as well as their learning performance.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123030204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study is to describe the learning trajectory in the discussion of data distribution applied in the traditional game-based learning process. The type of research uses design research. Design research has 3 stages, namely experimental planning, experimental design, and retrospective analysis. This study uses a hypothetical learning trajectory in the context of the Congklak game developed based on data from documentation, interviews, and observation. The research subjects were 15 students in grades 7 and 8 in junior high school. The results showed that traditional games could support the understanding of the concept of data distribution. Learning trajectories based on traditional game-based learning are seen from the perspective of stages on the iceberg. This stage is 1) situational, 2) situational model 3) Mathematical model and 4) formal mathematics. Thus, it is important for teachers in increasing mathematics learning.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126541173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to see how the interest of elementary school teachers towards the implementation of the reform curriculum. This study involved 167 elementary school teachers in the city of Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative interpretive and analyzed using interpretive analysis. The data collected was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results showed that after undergoing a curriculum change, the interest of elementary school teachers was still moderate. The aspect of awareness has the lowest value compared to the aspects of interest, attention and concentration. This means that his awareness to learn educational policies and implement new curricula needs to be increased. In the implementation of curriculum changes, seen from the planning stage all teachers have implemented them. In the implementation stage, not all teachers apply a student-centered learning approach. At the assessment stage, there are still few teachers who assess three competencies in the learning process, attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Thus, it is necessary to have more considerations and need to think about steps to overcome them.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121817165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This literature review aims to systematically review the literature on profile of character education in indonesian elementary schools during the covid-19 pandemic. The literature search was carried out through the Google Scholar database in the 2018-2021 period. The inclusion criteria used are articles that specifically discuss the moral degradation due to the character education crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic in primary schools in Indonesia. Based on article extraction, 10 articles were selected that met the criteria. The results of the review show that currently there are many events that show the lack of positive character possessed by students in Indonesia. Factors causing the decline in the character of the nation's children include a mindset that emphasizes the formation of knowledge. The solution that can be developed is to utilize social capital in the form of synergy in three educational centers, namely families, schools and communities in developing character education based on humanistic education, religious education, and exemplary. Therefore, it is important for schools to create synergies between families, schools, and communities.","PeriodicalId":312912,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126372773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
